Watching your video right now as I help my son change the alternator in his 2011 Focus. Discovered that you have to remove the motor mount and drop the engine down on the passenger side, to make room to pull the alternator out.
awesome , yeah i remember this job was a bit of a pita.. I think i was able to do it without touching the motor mount, by bringing the alternator up through the top.. But either way work's if you get it done. Thanks for watching.🙏

Yeah its a little tricky, but video should give you a good starting point how to attack it. Most difficult is the bolts for alternator, just take you time and everything will go smoothly, thanks for watching and supporting the channel
ok i rewatched my video real quick, so i removed the plastic shroud then pulled it out from the top. Once shroud is off you should be able to squeeze it out, its a little heavy though make sure you have a good grip

How did you pull the alternator out? its very close to the firewall and i cant even get it out?
i think it has to come out from the top, it been minute since i did that video.

Bottom stud is striped what can I do?
Try using a stud extractor get one from oreillys. Hammer it one and it should take it out. Hope this helps.

not sure what you mean, it is a ford focus ses coupe, but it apply's to all focus's in that year range.
