Thanks mate👍 Sadly I couldn't afford to maintain it so stupidly I swapped it for another car, it was only a rolling chassis though, no electronics so I didn't loose too much.
Cheers mate😎 Yeah I got a fans organised and no I didn't strengthen this body, I probably should have although it did last a long time, the next one I will for sure!🤘👍
Badass man I love your videos and I got the vxr Cobra because of you and now I can't wait to get the x-max how's the ankle I've caught myself a couple of times with my speed Rustler LOL
I really appreciate that, thank you so much😁 Im very glad I am helping even just a little, and im glad you are enjoying my vids, oh and my ankle is at the itchy stage now🤣 You'll love the X-maxx! Thanks again🤘👍
No it's not sadly, they have 8mm shafts but there are a fair few options in 8mm pinions. For a motor like that you would need around a 29t pinion anyway, would be quite slow I'd imagine with stock gearing🤷♂️
Thank you so much😁🤝 I actually got the brushed version because I had the brushless system already, I just needed a chassis for it and the VRX cars have always looked interesting to me so I thought why not😅 I think the brushless version would do about 60kph or a bit more on-road. Thanks again for the sub👍
What gearing did you go with to keep it cool. I'm putting this combo in tomorrow and I have a 30t pinion with a 46 spur. Contemplating getting a 54 spur . I would prefer to not have a fan on motor.
Already have a max 6 in my xMaxx. I’m debating on getting this 1100kv motor or the 800kv but if I get the 800kv I need to get the max 5 which I kinda don’t want to. What do you think
I definitely like the 1100kv motor but I had a 910kv motor in it for a while and it was a BEAST! Same as you though, I needed a max5, I actually fried a max6 because I over geared it just😭 The 1100kv in my opinion👍
Hi Saul were his shock stock on this bash Seems very supple for sure 🎯🥳 I think that combo hugs the xmaxx very well it’s not overpowered one bit very comfortable in delivery
Yeah I love the 1100kv combo for the X-maxx, as you said it's just enough power while still very efficient👌 Stock shocks they were, going to need a tune up very soon though😅
Highly recommended👌 A heap more power but do you need a 56 series motor mount. No downfall apart from not having the cover on, but I wouldn't run this motor on the stock esc just incase!
Just asking, I just got a Max6 and I just installed it, and I don't know why, I have problems with reversing, when I reverse the transmitter, the red light turns on on the esc, means it detects the signal but its not moving backwards, and only reverses sometimes when I very aggressively reverse my car, do you also have such a problem? Or do you know how to fix it?
That motor is actually overkill bud. It has plenty power to pull that light plastic truck out of a nose dive but looks like you have belted tires on it. Put the stockers back on it and that thing will manipulate in the air super easy. I ran my Xmaxx with just a Max6 for a while and then I when the shit traxxas motor finally went out I went with a hobbywing 4990 size can 1650kv motor and you can’t get a better setup than that. You go putting those those big 56mm can motors and Max5 esc in a Xmaxx and that’s just way too much weight and too much power to even have fun with the truck.
Saying it's overkill then saying it won't flip because of the belted wheels doesn't make sense. Wouldn't a overkill lift the nose of as you say a "light plastic truck"? It was a great set-up and had plenty of air control on the right size jumps. But it doesn't matter anyway, I no longer have it and will probably never be able to get one again.
Great shots of your truck fun to see.
Thanks mate👍
Sadly I couldn't afford to maintain it so stupidly I swapped it for another car, it was only a rolling chassis though, no electronics so I didn't loose too much.
Sweet upgrades my friend. Nicely done.
Thanks😉👍
Love these ezrun combo's👌
Great upgraded and Installation my friend, cool running more power😍👍
It is very powerful now but still need stock wheels, more backflips😂
Thanks Rene 😉👍
@@rccrazy you're welcome my friend 👍😊
I would stick with stock tires for sure. I was running belted tires and there cumbersome and causes suspension breakage. Fun video! Love it!!!
Again, totally agree and I like the fact that the stock tires balloon a little, creates more centrifugal force when jumping, much better control!
still one of my faves to watch, love this car, BTW CONGRATS on 401 SUBSCRIBERS 🎉🚗🏎👏
😊 thanks buddy! Definitely appreciate all the support from everyone😎👍👌
Hi there good too see your video just wondering if you are still using the same gearing and what is your settings on your esc thanks ray
I stupidly go rid of my xmaxx a while ago.
Sorry mate
Those XMaxxs are beasts. You gotta be careful though, they can hurt you bad.
They sure are beast's, and they sure can hurt!
I have a decent scab on my leg now, my own fault 🤣
Can’t go wrong with hobbywing!!!!
Yeah I love Hobbywing!👌
Perfect! Not overpowered! Great system!
I completely agree!
With a decent size jump it'll do a double flip but at the same time perfect for bashing this smaller stuff👌
Cool little bash spot u got there
It does the job, thanks mate👍
thanks for shoutout you helped me get from 12 to 16 subs in 1 day
Very nice, well done!👌
your young so you will learn everything much quicker than I do😆
Keep it up mate🤘👍
Runs sweet man, get a couple fans for that motor though 👍 do you use cloth tape on your bodies? i do now to make em last
Cheers mate😎
Yeah I got a fans organised and no I didn't strengthen this body, I probably should have although it did last a long time, the next one I will for sure!🤘👍
Nice upgrade! 👍👏
😁 had to be done, really missed my X-maxx.
Thanks😎👍
G'day mate I'm trying to get the same setup as yours and I am having problems gettingy gears to Mesh with that gearing
Did you remove the positioning pins from under the mount?
Badass man I love your videos and I got the vxr Cobra because of you and now I can't wait to get the x-max how's the ankle I've caught myself a couple of times with my speed Rustler LOL

You'll love the X-maxx!
Thanks again🤘👍
Great video, Where did you get your pinion gear from?
Thanks buddy🙂
I got the pinion from Hobbies Direct, Australian store
It is the ultimate basher . Nice vid 😎👍🏻🇬🇧
Oh yeah🤘
They really are top of the game!
Thanks😁👍
Is the shaft on the motor the same size as the stock motor shaft? It would be cool if it was so I could use my stock pinion.
No it's not sadly, they have 8mm shafts but there are a fair few options in 8mm pinions.
For a motor like that you would need around a 29t pinion anyway, would be quite slow I'd imagine with stock gearing🤷♂️
@@rccrazy ok thanks 👌
Good job nice clean build! It’s a beauty for sure. How much more power and speed is it compared to the stock system? Looks fast 💨!!!
I just subbed 👍
Thank you so much😁🤝

I’ve had my x maxx for 2 weeks and had way worse crashes. I still need some practice 😂
Yeah I still crash even after 15+ years of practice😅
As long as you having fun😁👌
What Motor Mount are you using?
I literally showed and installed the mount in this video mate😅
Anyway as shown it was a B&M 56 series mount.
What gearing did you go with to keep it cool. I'm putting this combo in tomorrow and I have a 30t pinion with a 46 spur. Contemplating getting a 54 spur . I would prefer to not have a fan on motor.
Yeah I was running 30/50 and it was getting hot so I swapped out both to 29/54 and it's got plenty of speed and it's much better, stays heaps cooler👌
Already have a max 6 in my xMaxx. I’m debating on getting this 1100kv motor or the 800kv but if I get the 800kv I need to get the max 5 which I kinda don’t want to. What do you think

Can you run the stock gear cover?
I don't think so, im pretty sure the 29t pinion is too big for the cover.
@@rccrazy ok, do you recommend the motor? Are there any downsides to getting it?
Highly recommended👌
A heap more power but do you need a 56 series motor mount.

I do not have this issue.
Did you calibrate it before running it for the first time?
That's the only thing I think it could be if its a brand new ESC.
@@rccrazy yes I calibrated it and it's brand new
@@rccrazy can you help me try if the reverse works the first try at a standstill? Thanks
I'm really not sure what it could be🤔
Are you still using the stock radio system (controller and receiver)? May just be close set steering trim🤷♂️
@@rccrazy steering trim won't affect the throttle though
that is like a bulit
Very fast for a huge truck!
Hopefully a fan or 2 keep it nice and cool😁👍
If you watch a traxxas video of the xmaxx their tires don't balloon at all power of editing I guess
If you mean the stock tires then I can say 100% they balloon like mad!
I hit myself all the time. Lol
Sorry mate 5 months late☹
Yes I still hit myself all the time😅
@@rccrazy 🤣 I do the same thing, it’s hard to keep track of comments. That’s funny! 👊💯👍
