Man,Disney really has a lot of shit to work on. I loved their content as a child and I still love them to this day but guys come on. Please Disney please human decency is not that hard to achieve. THINK DISNEY THINK
This is simultaneously very silly, but raises serious intellectual property issues. Fantastic writing, felt like a fever dream but you also learn something!
Fun fact: Mickey is about to enter the public domain if another change to copyright law doesn't come - but it's the earliest version of Mickey, the steamboat Mickey iteration, not the Mickey most think of. A key difference: gloves. Steamboat Mickey doesn't wear gloves - so if you want public domain protection for the use of Mickey when/if that ever comes, be sure to remove those gloves!
I think it's not even that Mickey Mouse would enter the public domain, as he's a character, and is trademarked. It is actually just the animation of Steam Boat Willy(sp) that is nearing the public domain again. So it isn't even like they'd lose control of their characters, people would just be allowed to chop up that specific cartoon and use the clips in other creative works.
On top of all this, they also treat Disney World and Disneyland employees like trash. I'd say I'm looking forward to the castle getting foreclosed on, but most people don't give a crap and will continue to throw money at them for one thing or another, even if it comes down to just the Marvel branch profiting. I'm probably in the minority by not giving a crap about anything they own now. I used to like Star Wars, but the prequel trilogy pushed me away, then the sequel trilogy just gave me the final shove into now disliking anything related to the franchise. I used to like Marvel, too, but now I don't think I could care any less.
I'm in a weird place where I still care about Star Wars, but have no hope for it's future. At least, I'm never gonna get a Jedi Bruce Lee-type character, and I'm just gonna have to accept that (it would be so cool, though).
I'm actually okay with franchises not being in the public domain as long as they're still being used by the company that owns them. It's fine that only DC can use an old character like Superman since they're still publishing cohesive and canon narratives. They always have. Once characters have been abandoned for however many years, they should enter the public domain. And it shouldn't be something stupid like 80 years before that happens.
And in A Convo With Mickey 2, we'll see Daniel tied to a bedframe with a car battery being periodically applied to his genitals until he accepts that Mickey did nothing wrong.
Daniel, you creative genius 👏 P.s. Daniel vs Disney (and Goodreads) has the same energy as Harry vs Voldemort. A young fella trying to defeat a much older evil :D
Disney engaging in exploitative and unethical behaviour? I am of course *shocked* and in no way expected such behaviour from the same company that filmed Mulan practically within spitting distance of Chinese concentration camps for the Uighurs, and sycophantically thanked the Chinese regime for the privilege...
I like Daniel’s review of his sponsors product. Didn’t go over the moon praising it like some people are forced to do for their sponsors, but gave it a fair and balanced one. Much more honest.
I'll look to other comments in a bit to see if someone's answered/asked already, but around 5:15 Mickey says something deeply, but I didn't catch it (as he turned away), what did he say lol? :')
These skits are fantastic 😂 as if I needed more reasons to keep boycotting Disney (yes, I know they probably don't need me as a consumer but as someone who grew up breathing Disney, boycotting them since about 2018 has been an experience)
Given that the extended copyright disney fought for is coming up, we're genuinely waiting for it to get extended again. And Disney will extend it into oblivion as long as they benefit. I think its like ... 2023 or something. But its already the creators life + 70 years so unless they reduce it back to a reasonable creators life + 20 years (even then, someone owning a product for a lifetime already feels like a long time but I get they want to be able to sell their franchise; if they just lose it to public domain then the IP's become worthless fast), then we'll just never see it anyway unless it was made 100 years ago (easy to avoid if the creator lives for at least 30 years once they create their product)
I wouldn't worry about Mickey to much. It's his cohorts, and gang you have to worry about. You self publish, but you might want to seek a publisher sometime in the future. They'll watch this video, and think, "Oh, Daniel is trouble."

For your own health please go outside there's this thing called the sun it is not evil
Daniel did u know that you and Max Miller from tasting history used the same preset face at the character customization screen...
@Nobody Money, nostalga, and some good frickin shows and movies I guess
@@spacesquirrelthemajestic3973 My whole life was a lie
Mickey be like: I didn’t know I came here to be disrespected.
You starved him of caffeine so that he wouldn't be able to focus on debating. Genius!
Nah nah, it's Mikey pretending to be elsewhere and as an excuse to vent his rage LOL
This is simultaneously very silly, but raises serious intellectual property issues. Fantastic writing, felt like a fever dream but you also learn something!
Can we just take a minute to appreciate that Daniel made us laugh, informed, and promoted physical and mental well being all in under 8 minutes?
Daniel you owe me a drink. It came out of my nose as soon as Mickey spoke
Aaaaaand, Daniel chose violence yet again.
I like where this channel is heading
Daniel Greene's skits are incredible.
Mickey is Disney's all powerful tool of destruction XD
Can't wait to see this claimed for breach of fair use
Me too!
@@DanielGreeneReviews well if it comes to that, at least you can use “breach of fair use” as the title of your sequel
If they claim it this version of Micky becomes canon
When I was a kid I was terrified of cartoon impersonators at theme parks. This brought it all back. Thanks Daniel 🥲
This was a highly effective skit/ short film/ discussion of Disney and the state of entertainment. 10/10, S-Tier, liked and subscribed!
Burn me, I can’t believe you got THE Mickey Mouse!
I can’t stop laughing this is gold
Oh dear Gods above below and amongst us this is gonna be good
I was in fact correct this needs to go viral FUCK disney

RIP Daniel, you will be missed
Daniel idk if you played Mickey’s voice but that performance is AMAZING!!!
That’s Mickey. Idk what you mean.
"The Mouse is coming from inside the House."
Your vocal imitation of Mickey is really amazing.
I like how Mickey is floating in the clouds like a God
Like the god he is.*
I can imagine you doing the voice in one take, or well over a hundred times and no inbetween. This was a fantastic masterpeice , thank you daniel
You got sponsored by an exercise bike, but couldn't outrun a 1-foot tall stuffed animal?
If he was on a bike he could've.

Mickey is definitely an eldritch zeitgeist at this point.
"I'm in the closet mother[bleep]"
- Mickey Mouse
Disney is turning into a monster hiding behind this little mouse that people are supposed to like, good commentary goblin-guy.
Shots fired.
Thus begins the war of the Mouse
And this is when the Mouse disappears the disheveled goblin.
Honestly, it's a shame this didn't get as much traction as it did
And he was never seen or heard from again.
Best skit yet, also Disney is going to just driving your point home by copyright claiming the hell out of this
Omg this went from a skit to critique to horror to sponsor, so many genre blending! 👌
Mickey Mouse is public domain here in Canada.
The 'uh huh's have me wheezing 😂
Henceforth the reason I stopped sending money to Disney.
Between this and H3/Sam Seder vs Steven Crowder, there’s been a lot of gotcha energy in my sub box this week.
I remember in highschool 16 years ago i had a teacher who said Disney has a master plan to take over the world. Looks like she was right.
Funny, yet informative. Mickey's gradual breakdown as the interview wore on was fantastic.
Some where lawyers at Disney have been spotted sharpening axes . 😄
Amongst the many talents of the Goblin King are: cycling, video editing and puppetry (he is working on his WoT sock puppet collection)

"Heeere's... Mickey!"
I WANT TO STAY IN MY CASTLE!!!
This is gold but I have to remind you that it's One Piece Wednesday
This is a seven and a half minute roast of Disney and I'm here for it 😂
Not why I cancelled my Disney subscription but thanks for giving me another justification.
And in A Convo With Mickey 2, we'll see Daniel tied to a bedframe with a car battery being periodically applied to his genitals until he accepts that Mickey did nothing wrong.
Daniel: *Proceeds to expose Disney with solid arguments and proofs...
Mickey:
"huh huh"
This was hilarious. And your Mickey voice is super funny 😂
Daniel I am truly concerned for your well being. This is hilarious 🤣🤣
Daniel, you creative genius 👏
P.s. Daniel vs Disney (and Goodreads) has the same energy as Harry vs Voldemort. A young fella trying to defeat a much older evil :D
Wow, I can't believe you got the real Mickey Mouse on the channel.
Perfect combination of comedy and horror
The Mickey puppet is gold 😂😂
omg the foreshadowing with the coffee was brilliant.
I loved so many videos on this channel but this just might be my favorite :)
Aaah, the perfect blend of clever Daniel and funny Daniel!
Loved this! There is someone on TikTok who does similar skits. I’m glad more people are calling Disney out for their shady stuff.
I love the Mouse, but the Lovecraftian horror that is the corporation responsible for the “Happiest place on Earth” scares me
Daniel just went Cersei mode : He chose violence !!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Best skit yet. Also Disney must pay.

I need more. Now.
I'll look to other comments in a bit to see if someone's answered/asked already, but around 5:15 Mickey says something deeply, but I didn't catch it (as he turned away), what did he say lol? :')
I love your skits....They're hilarious and intelligent at the same time♥️♥️
Lol. That was so much fun! Hope Mickey will be a regular in the channel.
We really should speak about this more
This right here is perfection. 🤣🤣🤣
This such a well done video congrats sir love the way you brought them to account in a creative way
I don't know how this magical video manifested itself into existence, but I'm glad it did.
You shouldn’t have messed with Michael Mouse, Daniel. He’s E V E R Y W H E R E
didnt know that Mickey was that smart
This was one of your funniest videos. Loved it!
Cher's ex-husband Sony Bono successfully passed the copyright act that protects Mickey Mouse
These skits are fantastic 😂 as if I needed more reasons to keep boycotting Disney (yes, I know they probably don't need me as a consumer but as someone who grew up breathing Disney, boycotting them since about 2018 has been an experience)
The f@#$ is this! 🤣🤣🤣
Edit - 30 seconds in and I already can’t stop laughing
this is again immediately an S-Tier video on the channel, nevermind among just the skits.
Absolutely excellent skit
if you want to see Disney with a sci-fi twist I recommend Cory Doctorow's novel Down and Out in the Magic Kingdom
I want more Mickey Skits!!
Your Mickey Mouse voice is... too... good. Suspiciously good.
Just got me one of dem there shirts. Peach of breach. Should have got them dog on socks too. Sheesh
Disney is Ellen the corporation.
Damn you're fantastic voice actor.
3:00 WHY DO I NOT HAVE COFFEE IN MY HAND
I am really going to need a Daniel Green out of context compalation
Darth Mickey's fake HAHA is priceless

Part 2 PLEASE!!!!! Id like to see how Mickey will chase you around your house with a knife😂🤣
I wouldn't worry about Mickey to much. It's his cohorts, and gang you have to worry about. You self publish, but you might want to seek a publisher sometime in the future. They'll watch this video, and think, "Oh, Daniel is trouble."
You should check out Carl Hiaasen's Team Rodent: How Disney Devours the World , book. It's a very informative and entertaining read.
Disney created a large portion of our childhood, now it's actively destroying it.
The next Fantasy News is gonna just be Mickey Mouse in a wig.
Breaking news RUclipsr Daniel Greene found dead in home only clue is a comically large white glove left at the scene
Not pictured: Comedy Central and Disney fighting over the right for DMCA over this video
As the Jonas brothers learned; you don’t fucking talk to Mickey that way.
