Excellent how to.. I did my buddies Colorado d/s regulator. I did it while sucking a beer and got it done in under 20 minutes! He thought I was a GOD, I just watched this video first! I really don't understand how jerks can give these how to videos a thumbs down. I guess they never got hugs from their parents..........
Thanks for this informative how-to. It not only saved me money, but since my window was stuck in the down position, it would’ve been taking a chance to find a day without rain when I could take it to the repair shop. Oh, and I completed the repair in about 30 minutes...less time than it would’ve taken to drive to the repair shop, check it in, and drive it back, not to mention the time it would’ve spend IN the shop.
Decent vid but my colorado has broken clips on the actual glass ! This becomes a whole other project my man. I’m guessing the old clips can be dissolved with some chemical so I can glue new ones on the window glass so the regulator can bolt to it . Any suggestions?
I’ve never taken a regulator out of a GMC Canyon before so I watched your video. Not only did I get it out but when I put it back in due to having wrong part I ended up fixing my window that didn’t work.
My driver window goes down fine seem like my motor is ok but i have to tilt or push the window so it goes up while i hold the switch, do i have to replace my while thing or is it just the track
+Kronniks tv Thanks for watching! It could be the motor, switch, motor or something else preventing it from going up smoothly. You will want to inspect all of the parts first to determine what is the issue!
+Maria Marquez You can try to put some lubricant on the track to see if that helps, but if it is really stuck and does not seem to want to move you may need a new regulator or motor. 1aauto.com
Thank you for replying sp fast. I had taken the door apart and the actuator arm was cracked and bent. so i have to buy the entire regulator + motor unit?
ok, question.. the back window does not work period.. but does click.. the front drivers window seems to work when it wants.. it will go down and up twice.. and then it won't go down again.. wait a day and try it again and it works.. i am so scratching my head.. any suggestions switch maybe?
+Kat Lewis It could be a relay or a problem with the switch. There's also a memory program where windows automatically go up and down depending on the switch's position - it may need a reset
Thanks exactly what I needed your videos are very helpful and save me a lot of money doing it myself, do you know any place where they sell this clips I lost a couple
Great videos but you guys parts are always twice the amount from your normal O'Reilly's, Advance Auto, Amazon, etc. I'd buy from you but your wayyyy to high!

I'll be doing mine next week. Thanks for the video!
You skipped something so we can't see how you got the inner bolt removed from the window. That is my problem
+Pisces Thanks for the feedback! We'll pass this info along to our production team.
Thank you. Great video. Used it for my Holden Colorado.

I would like to know how tight the screws need to be when attaching the glass
+Eric Orosz They should be snug but not extremely tight, because you do not want to break the glass. Hope our video has helped you out. 1aauto.com
my window is off track. doesnt slide up very well at all i can even pull it with my hand to close it all the way. have any tips?

@@1AAuto this is something i can do myself? also, if i purchase a new switch panel and that is not the problem.. can it be returned?
Your regulator is different from the original. Yours has no brass spring holder. How do I put my old spring on your part???
