I am 67 years old and have never been artistically inclines. However, two years ago, I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. I have found that my cognition is not as it used to be, so my sweet husband suggested that I try something new to exercise my brain. I have heard that art work (painting and crafts) can be very helpful to someone like myself. We purchased a number of different watercolor paints and brushes, etc. I have the 96 Real Brush Pens and have just decided to start working on this new hobby. I am scared silly that I can't do it; but I will be trying. If you have any free products or advice to me as we are on a fixed income. I am thankful for your channel and look forward to seeing more of your teaching videos.
I’ve recently bought a set of these brushes and didn’t really know how to use them. This is a great tutorial and I’ll keep referring back to it. Who knows, I might progress from really bad to not so bad lol.
I started saving up a few weeks ago to try and surprise my 8yr old with an entire little beginners set up... markers, colored pencils, these paint pens... both him and I want to learn together especially since my dad, his gramps, passed away earlier this month THE DAY BEFORE MY SONS 8 BDAY and while this stupid virus quarantine... the worst.. but my dad. Was a fantastic artist... and in his honor we would like to learn and so I've started saving for EVERYTHING ARTEZA!! Lol!.. (I just saved some major coin on a therapist just now!.. 😂😉 if you don't laugh youll lose your marbles like I probably am....)
A few years ago, I ordered a set and didn't use them. I was intimidated. I just ordered the 24 set and watches this video. I wish I'd watched it before, it's really worth it! Thanks so much!!
Thank you, this video definitely will help me use my pens in a more efficient way. I was stuck in simply dry coloring. My biggest issue has been the blending.
I love my brush pens. The way they can go from a fine point to wide is amazing when working on tiny items. Love all my products. And as you know I have many of them.
This seems like a very good tutorial! I ordered my Arteza pens and the watercolor coloring book since I cannot draw! This was helpful before I start. 😊
I have used ARTEZA brush pens many times and I love they way they blend and layer. I’ve made a few videos on how I use them. I need to buy the bundle soon!! So cool 😍😍😍😍😍❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Arzeza Brush Pens are the best!! I bought one set with the fantastic bag they come in, & another, empty bag for the rest of my brush pens. I als love your Gouache colors a lot!! 👌👌👌👌💞
I did learn some tips. I like that you can put salt on and make things look like sparkle. And soak the gauze in the paint to make a new design. Ohhhh. I just love all of the stuff I got . Oh did I mention that already 🤗
I really appreciated this video and the way the techniques were presented. I have never been shown how to shade with these pens. Each of the water added techniques answered all of my questions. Now I see traveling with just one coloring media ( your Real Brush Pens) and a water brush! Theses techniques will also complement the work I do following Robyn McClendon. Thanks so much!
Hi this is Brenda, South Carolina, I thought these pens are amazing. They do so much. I'm going to have to check them out. But, I love technique # 3. I really liked the way you could add texture to your project. Love it all!!Thank you
My hubby gave me the set of 48 for Xmas. I didn't have the right paper but have just got some watercolour 300gsm paper and tried nearly all the techniques in the video. Fairly successful, some more than others. I've never painted with watercolours before (as an adult) I'm looking forward to hopefully improving with practice.
as a traditional watercolour artist of many years (I'm ancient!) these pens opened up a whole new world for me, but my old skills carried over to this new(ish) technology - just keep plugging away and you will be amazed at what you can create….
Love all the products I have seen used in various videos I have seen. I am a beginner trying to find my best technique to create my talents. I would love to receive a supply of your products to test. Thanks for providing us top products to use in our creations. I am from the USA!

Thanks for giving me another reason to stay in and create art!!!🎨😊 Lori💙

I love my brush pens, have had them for awhile now. This video was very helpful, in that it showed a couple of new techniques I wasn't aware of, that they could be used for. Thanks for all the tips! I love your products!
I just got these! I had no idea how to use them, as I've never used brush pens before but I'm super excited now to give them a try after seeing these techniques
We recommend only dipping the very tip of the pen into the water to avoid ruining the product. If you notice that your bristles have gone white, just try swatching back and forth until the pigment returns to the tip of the brush pen again.
Translucent colors refer to colors that have a light, and buildable pigment as opposed to more opaque paints. To know which colors are translucent, we recommend doing a swatch test.
OMG I use their products all the time!! I do a lot of wood crafts indoor/ outdoor signs etc..and this paint as well as the markers and pencils are the best after I complete an outdoor plaque I do weather seal but sometimes the elements still get thru and I honestly have found that after 4 years of doing these paints markers etc still have good color even if the enamel has started peeling this stuff is the real deal anyone who wins this set will be very happy!!

the Real Brush pen video was so informative - I would have never realized you can print fabric in the paint! Thank you!
Painting on the wet paper created a pretty cool effect. I'd like to try that out. Thanks!

Water color painting has changed allot since the 60's/70's. It looks as though more can be accomplished with your brush pens. Very nice.
I like the real brush pen on wet paper. The ink blooms so well! Beautiful 😍
if you dip the brusn in water or use wet paper I would use Arche's Coldpressed or hotpressed paper. I noticed some fiberlift in the video.

I’m really excited about all the different textures that can be made. Thank you for the video.
About technique 5, won't mixing the color's ruin the brush that is used to blend's color? Or will it not effect the other brush's color?
Yes the other color will get in the blending brush tip but you can continue use until the original color comes through again.
@@arteza appreciate you answering, thank you.
My favorites are the videos that show you how to create texture on the paper.
We're so happy to hear that!
I love Arteza!! Perfect supplies at a reasonable price :)

I love the salt technique...beautiful
How should arteza real brush pens be stored, horizontally or vertcally, if vertically, with brush up or down? Or does it not matter?
We highly recommend storing your Real Brush Pens vertically and with the nibs facing down.
I like the guy sitting with the markers. I love all your acrylic. Your pens are great!
I had just ordered a set of 48 today and i wanted to know does any of these techniques work on loose leaf
We strongly recommend using our Real Brush Pens on watercolor paper for the best results.
Arteza thank u do uk where i can purchase a water color paper
If you live in the contiguous United States, you can go to www.Arteza.com, and if you live in Europe, try using www.Arteza.co.UK
You can buy it at any craft store :) like Michaels or Jo-Ann's or hobby lobby not just arteza :3
I brought some it took a while to figure out what water paper it works on the best.cold pressed. Now I love them best water color real pens I have brought I don't want to try any others lol.
I really can’t choose only one technique.. I really like the ideia of doing water coloring without the mess of water color pallets.

A for effort! Thank you for the lesson(s) 🥰Cannot wait to get my pens. Supposed to come tomorrow 👩🏽🎨
Beautiful artwork. Great job. Thanks for sharing your talent n see u again.
Love the different effects 💜
I have a question... when you dip the marker into water will it ruin the marker?
We recommend only dipping the very tip of the pen into the water to avoid ruining the product. If you notice that your bristles have gone white, just try swatching back and forth until the pigment returns to the tip of the brush pen again.
Ok thank you 😊
Very kewl!! Will consider trying them if they're not too pricey.
Wow that's pretty cool! ❤
Loving all these techniques!! Wow!!
loving all these techniques. thank you
This video refers to adding 'translucent' colors. How do I know what color is translucent??
Translucent colors refer to colors that have a light, and buildable pigment as opposed to more opaque paints. To know which colors are translucent, we recommend doing a swatch test.
@@arteza Thank you!!
Never thought to use fabric to create texture. Thanks for the tips.
Of course! We're always here for you!

Wow, we're happy you enjoy using our products. Tag us in your work, we'd love to see!
I know I’m very late but when you add water to the brush, does the original color come back?
Yup! Just use it lightly on a scrap of paper and it should come back!
Yeah it dose :3
Hey guys loving you channel. Kristen Kay sent me over and I’m so glad she did.
Can these techniques be used with the Twimarkers
The bristles on TwiMarkers are felt-tipped and not suitable for these techniques. We'd suggest only using these techniques with watercolor-style pens.
When I dip them in water, even slightly, the color stops coming out until it dries again.
If they continue to not work in your favor, please reach out to our customer service team directly.
@@arteza mine do that too ,that's why I don't use them. It's turned out to be an expensive felt pen. Very disappointing

Thanks so much!
This was great. Im going to try the dry into wet technique
Does the waterbrush come in the brush pen kit?
Melissa Phillis yes- I think it doesn’t come with the travel pack. I have the box one. It comes with 96 different colors+ a brush pen .
Great work my friend..👏🙂🖼👍👌🖌🧑🏻🎨
I bought Tom bow brushes and I nvr knew you do it like this, I thought I got ripped off, and I didn't know about the water color paper either.thank you for posting this video. Now I can have some fun. Can I do this on cards too?
As long as the cards are made to support wet media! :)
Such great techniques! I just started to use real brush pens so this will be helpful as a use them more.
This was really helpful. Thanks!
Glad it was helpful!
How do I load water brush with paint. I only have one and use it for water colors and blending. I want to do the cloth one👍
The water brush pens are only designed for water and we do not recommend using paint inside.
So I have Real Brush Pens but I can never get them to blend in water!! Or even at all! It's so frustrating. Any tips?
I've watched LOADS of videoes on these pens and ALL the reviews have not been good!!!!!
We just got these markers, love them!
Hi everyone I love this video but I have question about the Brush Pens. I was wondering if you could use them on canvas board? Thank you 😊
You can use the Real Brush Pns on Canvas! :)
@@arteza Thank you.
