Both the TOS and this can exist in the same time period as the a 1909 Springfield bolt action with a wood stock and the aluminum and composite M16 we're often found together in the us Military of the 60's.
I usually recommend Nighthawk or Wilson Combat 1911's, but there are some decent models through other manufacturers. The 1911 was one of the true hand crafted pistols, and it requires skill to properly make one that will function reliably and shoot accurately.
Exactly, the time where Kirk was using the rifle against Gary Mitchell in Where no man has gone before, He may have decided that an extra bit of fire power was necessary. I can see him in the armoury about to pick up a standard rifle and going "You know what, I am about to pick a fight with a man who can turn me inside out with a thought. I think I will take the BFG!".
Pic rails allow you to move a sight around, in case you need to adjust for eye relief, other attachments like night optics or magnifiers, or just plain old personal preferences, while having a good and repeatable reference point
If this was hanging on a rack would the barrel be pointed down? In that case the Starfleet delta would be positioned correctly, at least for being on display.
I love the multiple tie ins here. The TOS Copper chambers that can be seen through the gas vent sides. The very ENT phaser emitter housing. It looks chunky, like it could do some damage
I think it's not just only a phaser rifle, its a assault rifle. It's capable of three functions. It can firing phaser beam, bullets and grenades. The bullets and grenades are not regular projectiles, they're long range smart projectiles, capable of going around corners.
That rifle looks a lot more tactical. Foldable front grip, retractable stock, 22mm rail on top with some kind of a holosight maybe. Extendable cheekpart, many buttons for adjusting the firemode for example. I really like it!
I think that front part is just a heat shield. The emitters probably heat up, and that shield is there to prevent you from grabbing onto the heated element. It's probably a safety design element.
Because the TOS "rifle" was never described as such in the episode we are assuming it is indeed a phaser rifle. I always thought of it as a mining implement like a laser or phaser drill that Kirk was using because of its increased power output. That would explain the different look. Also as Starfleet was not a military organisation i don't see them mass producing heavy armament for common distribution on their star ships.
So what if it ties into Enterprise? It is actually a practical rifle design, TOS one was not. And actually TOS one was butt ugly as well. This one actually looks better. Also, given the MAKOs were relatively recently folded into Starfleet the MAKO-like design makes sense from a lore perspective not just a practical perspective. Loosing the butt ugly and impractical design of TOS is a good thing. Sadly it does keep to Starfleet's problem of overcomplicating their weapons. the KISS principle is very important with weaponry. However, that overcomplication does make it rather Star Trek-y as that is the most common theme of ST weapons, especially Starfleet ones.
yeah dont even get me started on thumb triggers and how stupid of an idea that is how impracticable to use on a fire arm let alone how dangerous it would rely be in a on a powerful energy weapon like a phaser
+zeonfix Also, there is the fact that the shape of most Star Trek phasers would actually make them harder to aim. The reason why basic gun shape has not changed much in over 100 years in real life is because it is the most efficient design for aiming. But the Enterpise phase pistols, phase rifles and MAKO weapons are much more practical aim wise compared to TOS or TNG era weapons.
I would rather have something like this that ties a bit too much into the Enterprise era, so not completely fit into the TOS era, instead of a ground-up redesign like they did with the Klingons and their technology. I'm glad that they did stick to a couple of classic Star Trek stuff. Not enough, but better than none at all.
The red light is most likely as they will be wandering the halls of a ship with low lighting, it will be to lessen the effect of the light on your eyes in the dark. The front bit isn't a stock its a foregrip (sorry being picky) but its good they have it as it allows the individual user to choose how they prefer to hold it. The 1911 is actually still in production and in use by the Military/Law Enforcement, it may have evolved slightly in the last 100 years but they are pretty much the same design.
I just have to get it into my head that I'll be taking all my excitement for a new Star Trek series and putting it towards Orville and have a great Star Wars type show to watch. :/ Did you hear how stupid the technobable was from comic con... it was something along the lines of "this mushroom is made of exotic matter found in our dimension along with a subspace dimension known as the mycelio-somethingorother". TOS has better technobabble than that! This just makes no sense at all! WE WANT STAR TREK THAT FITS INTO CANNON! EITHER USE 60's PROPS, OR SET IT POST VOYAGER!
JakeTheGearHeart HEAR, HEAR! I think it's pretty universally accepted and certainly we agree that nobody really wanted another prequel but so many people wanted a post Voyager continuation of a half-century of Star Trek lore. At this pace they'll eventually meet back to our current year! Science fiction is supposed to be the future and especially Star Trek that's supposed to be the best representation of that future and everything I've seen about this trailer with it's nonsense plot and heavy-handed sjw agenda ensures that I will be watching the first free episode to check out the ship and have zero interest in watching a officer who was raised to be monotone because she was raised on Vulcan co-starring with another monotone officer whose highway just because of her personality. What a snoozefest that show is going to be!
The M16 is still being used, the AK 47, and the Heckler & Koch HK417 are still being used in the same way there maybe a number of different rifles being used depending no what is needed The TOS rifle used by Kirk was a sniper rifle Kirk did not want Gary Mitchell to know he was there when he killed Mitchell to save the ship
The rail system is a quick and simple way of attaching equipment to the weapon that won't be interfered with by any exotic energy fields they may run into. The basic design of the AR-15 and earlier AR-10, have been around since the 1950s. And some companies are still making copies of the M1911 and M1911A1. Glocks have been around since the 1970s with only minor cosmetic changes. To go further back, the basic design of a musket was pretty much unchanged for almost 200 years.
Rifle looks fine to me. However, after watching some TOS and TNG , I think the most important thing to worry about is whether or not the fight choreography is up to par...everyone fights like their limbs are asleep.
I love the phaser. Has great tie ins with the cage and enterprise and actually looks like it belongs with the pistol unlike the TOS rifles. Also they contributed the coils etc. looks great!
Kind of a key thing missing here, but how do you fire it, as theirs no trigger around the second grip where you'd grip it, plus it looks like an FN 2000 Rifle stylized to be slightly more futuristic with battery chargers stuck in the middle of it, not saying that's a bad thing but it looks more like something out of an 80's action flick with Arnie now.
I suspect that in the cage episode they had no rifles aboard ship and that the rifle Kirk took to the planet was put together in engineering as a bare bones version of this one. His lacked the protective grilles over the coils (to keep the user from burning their hands) and only had the one emitter. This new one looks ergonomic and practical. I like everything about it but the delta.
Ive also always viewed the 'dilithium cell door' as the SAFETY on the phaser. From the location on the rifle Im thinking theyre thinking the same thing.
I never thought the TOS phaser rifle looked like a weapon as much as thought it looked like a tool. These look like weapons as do all the other generations of rifle. The TOS rifle looked some heavy duty mining tool or perhaps, much like the cannon used in The Cage, was supposed to be able to channel 'the ship's energy'. It looks like something for cutting through rock.
Seems to me it's the TOS rifle that's the odd one out. This one preserves the general shape of most phaser rifles while incorporating the coils of TOS which is really important. I agree with the Commander, seems fine to me, though I'd still hope for an explanation.
I don't care for it, but I also object to the mentality of "I'd by a prop of it just because it's Star Trek." That makes the money which equates to success, and your dollars tell them they're doing right. Incorrectly so.
I give up! Where did the screenshot of the rifle you have at 6:05 come from? I thought I'd seen all the trailers, perhaps it's one that hasn't been released in Australia?
I like it, I think it works better as the evolution of the Mako rifle, its like the Cage era one in a more practical protective shell. The Cage one feels more like a heavy weapon than one you might use in a gun emplacement or perhaps a mining tool.
Looks fantastic imo, love the heat vents on the side especially. Looks like something that actually packs a punch instead of a cheap prop or toy. I feel as if hand-held weapons have always been a weak design spot within Star Trek.
I hope i am not being rude. But i do not like the design of the TOS rifle. But I do agree that this does not look like a Star Trek rifle. It might work in Star Gate if you change the emitter at the end of the gun.
Drake not rude at all! You express your opinion clearly and without consulting anyone else and I'm inclined to agree with you actually. Neither phaser rifle design is particularly elegant or looks like it could be carried practically as a weapon in a fight especially in the close quarters of these claustrophobic ships.
My issue with this rifle is that it looks too chunky and impractical to wield. It needs to be more streamline in my opinion, like an AR-15, if it's going to look more militarized. The phaser rifles from the Next Generation, DS9, and Voyager eras were much more streamline than this appears to be.
I can't stop thinking that if Gene roddenberry had had full funding for ST:TOS, phaser rifles would have looked like this. I always found it odd that the phaser rifle didn't match the pistol.
We were away from Thursday-Sunday and had a 5hr filming session today. The Trailer reaction/review was a 40min recording session earlier today and will be up in a day or 2 when it can get edited around a load of smaller videos! since we want to keep content coming consistently to you all from now on! Lots and lots and lots of videos to edit and that one is the longest and most complex!
The TMP style phaser, a completely different design philos0phy than the TOS or Trek,3 is again in use in Yesterdays Enterprise. The Assault Phaser is also a different design philosophy. As an Infantryman I find this to be the best thought out of ANY of the iterations of rifles in Trek and it takes it cues from reality.
Love the design, totally says Star Trek. Tie ins with Enterprise, Cage and Star Trek 6. We've seen multiple versions of phaser rifles coexisting in Star Trek before, very likely a assault/tactical rifle. There are generic elements to the design I guess, but that's just ergonomics. The deltas on everything I don't like.
The TOS rifle looks like a complicated electric sink plunger. The ST:DSC rifle looks like a rifle. The delta is reversed probably because if the weapons are stacked they are pointing down to the floor, That way the delta is the right way up.
I think we have to come to terms that TOS is essentially being retconned out of existence. ALTHOUGH, the talk of the m1911 and comparisons to other guns got me thinking...what if the DSC Rifle and TOS Rifle are just manufactured somewhere else? There may or not be companies anymore in Trek (That always seemed somewhat ambiguous), but perhaps the TOS Rifle's are built on Telar, while the DSC Rifle's are built on Earth? They're essentially the same thing with similar operation, just not built by one monolithic organization? You could potentially go so far as to somewhat explain the ships in such a way....that featureless, minimalist, TOS look might be how San Francisco Fleet Yards builds ships. Antares Fleet Yards may build more like the Shenzou style....
Um, has anyone ever thought about the possibility of different contractors? Think about this; the Wrath of Khan phaser existed side by side with the Search For Spock phaser. So why can't there be two different rifles which exist side by side?
Big fan of your show guys. I love this rifle. It fits the new Trek with again paying respect to the Original. I was born In 1970 and Love Star Trek. Always a Trekkie. That being said Cap the TOS rifle never really fit into weaponry of the show. It was only used once, mainly for promo shots with Kirk to boast the show as being different. Ruben Klamer designed the gun in 2 weeks, he was known for the Man from UNCLE gun he designed...which really when you look at it looks cool but is not practical. This gun was not duplicated and used again because of the cost, but I think Gene being practical himself never thought it would be needed. The standard phaser with the built in hand phaser was so practical and had function you could see how it could work how it could be real. When i was a kid I believed it would be real. Just like every other equipment away teams used. Those things paved the way for young minds to make them real one day. The TOS rifle though it has its place in history really doesn't make us dream of really building it. It never really looked practical with a dish in front and were the operational buttons were placed and huge scope display it always to me said 1950s (yes i said 50s not 60s) not future tech. Oh man at the time it was cool and I am not downing the hard work put into it. As the show evolved it just didn't fit in anymore. This new rifle I can see it being built. Love the whole updated version yet paying real respect to TOS. They seem passionate about Trek and cannon but let's be real if they ran around with the old rifle and boxed in sets who would really watch the show but us older fans. They need to create new Trekkies we won't be around forever and I would hate to see Trek go the way of Captain Proton to be forgotten to all but the few. Again great show guys I love ya. Captain Foley never stop being the fan you are. As one old Trekkie to another... Live long and prosper. Captain out...
The reality is the 60s budget prop would not hold up with what audiences would come to expect today. I think they did a great job the the design nods they did include.
Taking the weapon on its own merits and not comparing it to other star trek guns. I find it looking bulky and inelegant. I would have preferred something more sleek. (Darn it Commander. now you've got me saying it.)
2nd comment, Holy Crap, scratch that, it IS a Nerf Rifle! as with those you pump the action to fire it! and literally its just a nerf rifle with a new barrel attachment on the front end!
I like it. Like the tie to Enterprise. I am excepting thAt it is going to bring Enterprise, TOS, and JJverse and their own ideas. Which is okay, but I prefer it to be after Voyager. But the rifle is cool.
That is what my wife and I were thinking part of what ever replaced MACOs and maybe that is why some of the visual things are different than other Cage era things because we haven't really seen a lot of the more militaristic/non-science and exploration parts of Starfleet
I am not saying it was ever meant to, but we know due organizations like the MACOs in Enterprise, and you could even say the creation of the Defiant in DS9, Starfleet has does have some sort of military mindedness to them.
Personally, I don't mind that this new weapon doesn't tie in with the Phaser Rifle we see in TOS. Why shouldn't there be different types and maybe different manufacturers of weapons? An AK-47 has about as much in common with an M16 as the TOS and Discovery rifle have. Considering that the Federation uses technology from a bunch of different species, I'm actually amazed at how uniform everything looks all the time. I always felt like Star Trek rifle designs were a little bit wonky and weird and didn't have as much continuity as the regular phasers did. I believe that's mostly because actual combat gear for security/soldiers never got really explored in this franchise for obvious reasons.
It's like someone said "hey, you know what was great? The P90s in SG.1. Can we get some of those?" and the rebuttal got somewhat sidetracked. I'm not sure if i HATE it yet but i certainly don't like it. Edit: picking up one something the Commander said: it actually DOES feel like an older design. Not counting the Deltas (i can't wait for the Mars Smiley memes that the trailer will spawn) and lack of singular barrel (how do you even aim with three different, offset barrels?) the black metal, the many holes that i have to assume are for moving parts, the rotaty bits... i could easily see this as a slightly steampunk'd variant of a WW 2 rifle. Even the dinky toy from TOS at least looked futuristic, not like something that would be an old hat TODAY like this. Cleaning that thing on a sand planet must be a nightmare.
I like the overall design but they really should get rid of the fore grip and just have a contoured grip that runs along the underside of the rifle body. It is good that it can fold up, but I never understood why sci-fi weapon artists add fore grips to weapons that shouldn't have recoil. To my knowledge (and someone correct me if they know better) the point of a fore grip is for increased stability against muzzle rise cause by recoil from sustained fire semi and automatic fire, something that a laser or phaser weapon would/should not suffer from. Unless there is some kind of overcharge function that fires a plasma burst, which could cause recoil, i am just seeing the need for a fore grip
I was looking at the Andorian handheld energy weapons to maybe rationalize this design being inspired by the Federation’s warrior-species, but it seems like this is just a fairly generic design.
I like the look. The TOS and TNG early phaser rifles were just awful. But one thing I never understood is why they need rifles anyway when a hand phaser is enough to disintegrate someone
leonwoodley99 we filmed for 5 hours today different videos...i would not be able to get the trailer edit finished tonight as it's too long and complex.. But will either be able to get it edited for tommoroe or the next day...i want to get a small couple done and out first. We of course are aware of the trailer
What worries me the most about Discovery is the lack of the ship itself in all of this. Yes, we've seen brief shots and we saw the ship in the initial teaser. But why are they hiding it? This has been THE WEEK to reveal things! I just find this disturbing.
"UK! Pew-pew-pew!" Priceless! As far as the rifle as someone else stated neither design is particularly inspired compared to their pistol counterparts. Both are super bulky and would be very impractical to carry in battle for instance if you compared to an M16 it is flat although long and Tall with a clip that these seem to have a lot of side to side bulk that would really be a problem in the running and carrying position particular if it happens in the claustrophobic confines of these pre TOS ships. Even the Maco rifles were considerably thinner in cross section. But the phasers went through an evolution on TNG and then even more so into the movies which had a reasonably looking futuristic gun that also look like it meant business in a rifle configuration. However this show is spending so much money upfront I doubt they will be wanting to do very much tinkering until they get canceled due to massive not interest and a rebellion against paying a monthly fee to watch one TV show and punishing Americans and that way while the rest of the world gets hit with all the other good content on Netflix inexplicably.
Place this next to an NX and TOS rifle and DSC phaser and it looks trek. The 3 cylinders, 3 front emitters, and general shape of the front make it look trek enough.
The Deltas actually make sense on the field equipment and weapons. If you look at modern Military gear going back to the 1800's they would get a official acceptance stamp from the government. it being all over the fabric of the clothing makes no sense.
Not a bad design, but I agree, they could have done more to tie it with the TOS phaser rifle. But then again, weapons design isn't always evolutionary and you don't always get elements from previous designs in a new one. Take the M16, for example, it looks nothing like the M14 it replaced, the only thing it has in common is a trigger and a removable magazine, otherwise there are no design elements in common. You'd only see similarities if they were made by the same company because a lot of gun manufacturers have a certain look or certain design elements they like to incorporate into all of their designs. One other thing, your comparison of the M16 to the M4 is kind of off. The reason why they look so similar is because they're basically the same rifle. The biggest difference between an M16 and an M4 is that the M4 is shorter, that's it. They use the same operating system and most of the internals are cross compatible with each other. A better example might have been an M4 and an H&K416, even more similar in appearance but different operating system.
I think it's okay but, mostly because it doesn't look like "purist" Trek. It actually looks like it has beef. It looks like it has bite. It looks like it means business. It's not like those hand held whistlers that look more pretty than threatening. It gives the impression that you take this thing into battle. I am partial to the modern assault rifle aesthetic. Could do with a little more length and I'm not a fan of the second grip. The emitter cylinder could have been expanded to either include another emitter or just bigger ones to make it look less like a redundancy to the pistol.
I don't dislike it, I tihnk it looks very cool, but, I also agree, it doesn't fit with the era, I do like the TOS cylinders tie ins in the main body, I always liked the MACO wepaons
Where's your analysis of the trailer itself: story/characters/ships. My god, there were FOUR Starfleet ones! Trekkerprise and EC Henry already put theirs up.
it was a 40min recording session earlier today, will be up in a day or 2 when it can get edited around a load of smaller videos! since we want to keep content coming consistently to you all from now on!

Sam, They are still making 1911's from various manufacturers. :D
neat! :)
A. I. Yep. My friend just bought one from Springfield Armory that looks just like the original 1911..
I usually recommend Nighthawk or Wilson Combat 1911's, but there are some decent models through other manufacturers. The 1911 was one of the true hand crafted pistols, and it requires skill to properly make one that will function reliably and shoot accurately.
that rail system is just as old.
I really like the rifle, but, as you know I am a huge ENT fan. I like the idea of DSC being a sequel to ENT. I've wanted one for a long time.
This is definitely the most realistic phaser rifle i've seen in all of Trek!
The Rifle looks bad ass.
Very cool design.
Alan Carter Not tacticool enough for away team mall ninjas, needs more rails and attachments XD
"Away Team Mauls Ninjas"
The rifle from TOS could be a heavier high yield model, the equivalent of a rocket launcher model where this could be a medium to long range.
Or a sniper rifle, as apposed to a standard issue rifle.
Exactly, the time where Kirk was using the rifle against Gary Mitchell in Where no man has gone before, He may have decided that an extra bit of fire power was necessary. Adam Lytle my first thought was that it's right side up for who you're shooting at! LOL

the picatinny rail is over 100 years old and rock solid. as long as we use modular accessories, we'll be using that rail system.

Dear Lord. I have a feeling they are going to do a reboot of TOS next. We need this to stop changing everything we come to know and love.

Any plans on doing a video on the new Starfleet Tricorder that was on display at SDCC?
Arrowhead delta feels like it should be inverted. So that the base is pointing to the user.

Looks like the Enterprise Maco rifle and the SW Trooper E-11 blaster rifle got together and had a baby.
Something else to consider; what if the TOS rifle is more of a high powered sniper rifle, and the one here is more standard issue?
I liked the Dustbuster Phaser Rifle from the TNG Officers Manual, its canon but was never on screen or built.
It looks like the stock was partially extended. Do we know if it's adjustable?
I suspect that in the cage episode they had no rifles aboard ship and that the rifle Kirk took to the planet was put together in engineering as a bare bones version of this one. The lack of coil shielding on the CAGE rifle makes it look more advanced. Kinda like what Doug Drexler said, smoother means more advanced.
you know He's right it doesnt belong, it belongs in Aliens along with most of the stuff I saw in the trailer that you guys mentioned.
I don't care for it, but I also object to the mentality of "I'd by a prop of it just because it's Star Trek." That makes the money which equates to success, and your dollars tell them they're doing right. Incorrectly so.
Enterprise phase pistol is NOT a phaser weapon. It is supposed to be and ancestor of phaser weapons used in 23rd and 24th centuries
Looks like a great step between ENT and the movie-era.
Looks great. Exactly what a phaser rifle should look like. TOS rifle could have been as you like to say any 1950/60s scifi. Lost in Space for example.
Neither phaser rifle design is particularly elegant or looks like it could be carried practically as a weapon in a fight especially in the close quarters of these claustrophobic ships.
the delta is probably reversed so that it isn't upside-down when we see it on screen
No review of the trailer from Saturday?
We were away from Thursday-Sunday and had a 5hr filming session today. The Trailer reaction/review was a 40min recording session earlier today and will be up in a day or 2 when it can get edited around a load of smaller videos! since we want to keep content coming consistently to you all from now on! Lots and lots and lots of videos to edit and that one is the longest and most complex!
This rifle definitely looks older than the CAGE rifle. Love the tie-ins to Enterprise.
This says to me that earth manufactures has maintained the contract to build for Starfleet.
The TOS rifle looks like a complicated electric sink plunger. The ST:DSC rifle looks like a rifle.
The delta is reversed probably because if the weapons are stacked they are pointing down to the floor, That way the delta is the right way up.
The deltas should not even be standard yet, they should just be on the enterprise
Guys keep up the great work with these videos..awesome..
A serious piece of hardware. I like it!
I think they did a great job the the design nods they did include.
they still make the 1911 admittedly in the A1 variant with some development going into an A2 variant but otherwise, its still a 1911.
Do you guys will make breakdown of the newest trailer ? love the show :)
Guys, don’t understand why the delta is reversed, put the weapon on a tactical sling. It will hang barrel down, how does the delta look now.
11:43 wrong they're still in production
I like it. Like the tie to Enterprise. I am excepting thAt it is going to bring Enterprise, TOS, and JJverse and their own ideas. Which is okay, but I prefer it to be after Voyager. But the rifle is cool.
One of the stars of Discovery said in an interview she is a soldier.. maybe this series deals with MACOs?
Makos were disbanded according to Enterprise...but maybe there later successor?
That is what my wife and I were thinking part of what ever replaced MACOs and maybe that is why some of the visual things are different than other Cage era things because we haven't really seen a lot of the more militaristic/non-science and exploration parts of Starfleet
Dustin Gibbons Star Trek was never meant to look military! Or aggressive! They are shitting all over Gene Roddenberry's dream! 😞
I am not saying it was ever meant to, but we know due organizations like the MACOs in Enterprise, and you could even say the creation of the Defiant in DS9, Starfleet has does have some sort of military mindedness to them.
This looks like the ENT era phase pistol at the front.
The dept making these tech props is knocking it out of the park. Damn shame about the Klingon garbage
It needs a bayonet.
It needs a trigger guard. All Trek weapons do. Idiotic design that'd get lots of people hurt.
edlaprade maybe the trigger is super stiff
Maybe in this universe Zorg Industries produced this rifle, where is the yellow button?
The red light could be an indicator, "red is dead" it's set to kill.
The Federation phasers are about the ONLY design choice I've liked on Discovery.
Unless there is some kind of overcharge function that fires a plasma burst, which could cause recoil, i am just seeing the need for a fore grip
trying to allign TOS designs with ENT - i like how it looks, but the comparisons are just awkward.
I could live with a few props looking slightly too advanced for the time if they did the uniforms and the bridge set right!
Trailer?
leonwoodley99 There was a new ST: Discovery trailer released at SDCC..
Hiluxtaco
Yes I know. I was just wondering why they haven't talked about it yet.
leonwoodley99 we filmed for 5 hours today different videos...i would not be able to get the trailer edit finished tonight as it's too long and complex.. But will either be able to get it edited for tommoroe or the next day...i want to get a small couple done and out first. We of course are aware of the trailer
power543
Looking forward to your vid. 😜😜
power543 we're all waiting for it 👍every time I pop on here I check to see what you've uploaded. Looking forward to it 😁
this is not a prequel to TOS.. its an Enterprise sequel... you guys gotta wrap your head around that.
What worries me the most about Discovery is the lack of the ship itself in all of this. Yes, we've seen brief shots and we saw the ship in the initial teaser. But why are they hiding it? This has been THE WEEK to reveal things! I just find this disturbing.
We've seen tons of blurry pics. No real, full shots of the ship. And this is Star Trek! The ship always one of the stars!
"UK! Pew-pew-pew!"
Priceless!
Very cool design. Can't wait to see more videos covering the new reveals~
I'm ok with the rifle now I just need to see it in action on Star Trek
I think it's okay but, mostly because it doesn't look like "purist" Trek. It actually looks like it has beef. It looks like it has bite. It looks like it means business. It's not like those hand held whistlers that look more pretty than threatening. It gives the impression that you take this thing into battle. I am partial to the modern assault rifle aesthetic. Could do with a little more length and I'm not a fan of the second grip. The emitter cylinder could have been expanded to either include another emitter or just bigger ones to make it look less like a redundancy to the pistol.
Keep 'em coming, guys!
Deltaverse, its official now.
I don't dislike it, I tihnk it looks very cool, but, I also agree, it doesn't fit with the era, I do like the TOS cylinders tie ins in the main body, I always liked the MACO wepaons
i'm happy with the new rifle, in my oppinion they have never should used the TOS rifle back than. it's the only prop i disliked from TOS
Deltas everywhere. If you get lost in the desert, just walk a Delta™in the sand so that your ship can pick you up from orbit. LOL.
Ok -- I understand
power543 they..we, forget you and Stuart have lives, so on behalf of all your fans, we thank you for all you both do! ❤️💋
I don't think I would mind Star Trek becoming more military science fiction, like Stargate.
