Theater actors have to be damn good at ad-libbing. I saw the show a million times between the closing announcement and the final performance and caught quite a few significant errors: (1) The actress playing Christine tripped and fell during the "Wishing" sequence, but managed to play it off as a result of the chaos. (2) In that same performance, the gun didn't fire, so instead of Raoul yelling at the guy for shooting recklessly, he yelled at him for NOT shooting. (3) In another show, the actress playing Christine couldn't get the mask off during the climax of the "Point" scene. (4) The biggest one of all, during yet another show, at the end, Meg yanked back the cape, only to have NO MASK on the throne, forcing the actress to just sit there stunned without holding it up for the final haunting effect. At all times, the actors played it off so well, I'd have never known it was an error if I hadn't seen the show 20-something times before.
And now let’s try to imagine what would be audience’s reaction if there will be only fans of this musical. I think few ambulance cars certainly would arrive. Anyway I’m very impressed by Arancan’s reaction, he caught the mask while it was falling! What a reaction! I rewatched that moment about 10 times and still don’t understand how he managed to do that
Anyone in the audience who wasn't a fan would not have been able to tell this was an accident. He handled it so well, immediately turning his face away from the audience and reattaching his mask without making it seem like a big deal
0:32 Hee hee... that tiny finger wag. The performers did really well. Hardly any signs of internal screaming, and was able to keep the audience under control.
Wow. That was smooth. And I am even more surprised if the audiences reaction, no gasps, no whispers, just silence. Everyone in that theater did fantastically.

@@kittycatthelildevil4096 Yes there was a club where he pushed the boat after it stopped center stage. Also I believe on that video the organ was late too
The thing is… The AUDIENCE is not supposed to see the phantoms face. If Christine sees it a bit early that probably fine but the audience is not supposed to.
I didn’t know that a video title could give me so much anxiety
Same. Yikes
She looks so guilty for the rest of the song 😂😭 and he handles it so casually like what a pro 😲
Phantom: *puts it back like nothing happened*
Christine: *suddenly blind* oof I see nothing
If you think about it she’s in a trance at this point… it would make sense she doesn’t remember
Props to this actor for not panicking. This is a perfect example of exhibiting grace under pressure.
He handled that so smoothly you'd almost think it was part of the choreo. Impressive!

Immediately? It was off for 13 seconds
He was saying he immediately turned away, not put it back on@@PhantomofDB
That day, no doubt, the spirit of the ghost was lurking in the theater. Many things happened hahaha
AAAAA O QUE MAIS ROLOU??
Fofoca contada pela metade mata fofoqueiras ao redor do mundo. VOLTA AQUI DARUÃÃÃÃ!!!!

It’s all about using them fingers 😛😏
Props for that catch of the mask!
I also love how after the Phantom puts his mask back on, he points his finger at Christine like "No no no" 😆
Wow. That was smooth.

Kudos to him! He made it seem like it was supposed to happen!!!

I like that he turned away, he handled it so smoothly
I haven't even watched the clip yet because I'm so nervous! 😂
Edit: wow, that was handled so well!
I've always wondered how they would react if this happened.
I HAVE ALREADY WATCHED THIS ABOUT 10 TIMES BUT IT STILL MAKES ME ANXIOUS
That's really profesional act. He's cover very well and didn't realize its was accident. 👏 👏
Does anyone notice that Erik points his finger at Christine at 0:21? He's like "Woah! You're WAY to early girl!"
I just had a panic attack seeing the title.
Lucky it didn't fall on the floor, lol! This same Phantom, Thiago Arancan broke his shoulder on the stage during the final lair.
How did that happen 😳
E teve um dia que ele estava lá em cima, no anjo, e a luz no teatro acabou bem na hora kkkk. Coitado ficou preso lá
HIS SINGING IS HEAVENLY
It looks like he incorporates it into the performance by quickly turning his head away.
Gasp!! Omg that was funny but i feel so bad for them. Anyway this will go down as one of most iconic flubs in poto 👀
Imagine the mask would have dropped! Amazing reaction and so well handled of both of them!
I love how chill he was
Daruã, understand that o love you. She played Christine in the "Last Phantom In Concert" in Brazil
They both reacted very well to it!
Nerves of *STEEL.*
Is there any chance you could please do a comparison video of Raoul & Christine’s engagement bit during Masquerade? 🙂
Wow great job at handling that
Smooth. That's all I can say
And I just noticed at the end it was a different language
I feel so bad
Oh my! I really laugh at this😂 Anyway amire his handling of the accident. Thank you for uploading :D
Nice save 👍
GASP!
woah
He handled that very well. 😎 I'm sure with other phantoms once in a great while that happens too.
Does this take place in 🇧🇷 aka brazil
He’s like pretend you did see that
Well played!
I wonder what he would've done if she ended up snapping the mask or its wire...
Probably just hold it to his face
I’m dying lmao
do you have the latest POTO flub where Jonathan Roxmouth takes the boat?
Yeah, but it's on Instagram anyway, so I'm not going to bother reposting it here.
Wait what is this? XD

@@AirTravel415 Oh- have you been able to find it?
the STRESS
Best improv ever!!!
Oh dear
That twirl was SMOOTH lol
Eu já ia tendo um ataque do coração
Would've been perfect if the Mirror Bride then knocked his mask off too...
Oops
