Paid £800 for the white dial new, think rrp was £1300 ish, have had pretty much every prx over the last 2 years and sold every single one. Tissot are great around for a watch costing less than £400 but over a grand- there’s an awful lot of other great watches. Good thing about the chronograph though is thst eBay isn’t full of fake ones unlike the standard quartz and Powermatic.
I really wanted to green dial version but after this video with the close ups of the dial. The white date window really just ruins the want for me now. I cant unsee it now :/ the white dial is so much cleaner with gold accents
The beauty of a PRX is in its simplicity. The best looking PRX is the 40mm wuartz model. It’s thin, as it was initially conceived. Same goes for the 35mm quartz PRZ. Chrono dials and pushers just clutter it up.
Cracking videography and editing on this one Harrison (as always), a quality production. I've not seen this dial version in the flesh but it looks great in the video. I have the 'old' white vertical brushed dial PRX chrono that I think I prefer as the date is more colour matched to the dial and hides the off symmetry a little bit better. The new model certainly looks good but I'm in no hurry to move my watch on. Any chronograph watch that uses a Valjoux 75XX base movement will be in the thicker side dimensionally but the PRX case side profile hides that thickness better than some.
The tissot website quotes the power reserve as 68 hrs on the olive dial chrono… which is an improvement over its siblings. Definitely wonder what the story is there. Any one got the details?
Tissot upgraded this model to the Valjoux A05.231. It has 68 hours of power reserve, a Nivachron hairspring (like the PM80), as well as a free-sprung balance. You can actually see the balance screws in his B-roll.
That date window pops up too much IMO. I like date position but if the date is somewhere than in 3, the date base color should match better to dial color, Like in Seiko spb381
Nice review mate. I think tissot is on the right pathway. Their dials and movements being a swatch affiliate allows these to be used which is a good thing. Do you think a solid case back would reduce the thickness? Oh, and I believe Iceland is a photogs paradise!
If you are going to showcase a watch your video of Iceland outshined the watch … I was more tune into Iceland scenery than the actual watch itself but overall I liked the video
I think the clasp is the one thing for me that makes me not want to buy it. It just did not fit my wrist the way I wanted it to where the clasp is. It was either to tight or to loose.
I wish folks would stop referring to things as entry level and different levels of luxury. It's a watch. What might be entry level to you may be extremely high end to someone else. Anyway just my two cents.
It's very impressive indeed from the views, and this PRX doesn't get better than this Iceland, my goodness incredible, nice olive piece, make sure you visit St George Utah and talk about watches....until next time..
No screw down case back and they replaced metal parts with plastic parts on the ETA movement. Hamilton are a much better option. Or if you can, Longines or Ball.
This video was released at the same time as the Grendizer PRX. Can you do a side by side comparison of the green dials between the Chrono and Powermatic 80 versions? I'm curious what your take is on that.
Ive had 2 of these, one broke. The vhrono pushers are actually really cheap and hollow. Theyre easy to knock and then you need to send it to tissot to fix, that takes about 4 months. Unacceptable.
The thickness and bulk of this watch is sure a big problem. I’m already near the territory in which the 40 mm version looks large, so I tried the blue chrono version and boy, that thing wore me instead of me wearing it. The PRX case naturally sits very flat because it is flat, and the fixed endlinks are an issue whatever the version is. Now put an auto Valjoux movement inside and the issues will be exacerbated. Probably a great watch if you can pull it off though.
I bought the Tissot PRX chronograph in 2023 and pusher popped out after having it for 3 months. This after paying $1800. For that price I will not buy another. I have the PRX ice blue dial and the Gentleman. All their clasp suck, and their lume is sub par
My Prx chrono broke down after the first time I used the chrono function (bought new 2023) €1900. Dealer was great and I recieved my watch back from Tissot within the month with complimentary travel case and new certificate of guarantee, since then it runs great.
From Tissot it's not possible to buy a leather or rubber strap for the chrono. Doesn't exist (yet) and it's not a new one, does exist already more than 4 months
that's a nice watch that competes with my prs 516 , but each has its own personality. what hurts tissot as a brand is their vast catalog. they want to satisfy every person at every price. eventually their quality vs price is hard to argue with.
Man, it feels so limiting sometimes to see these gorgeous watches knowing you have way too thin of a wrist to wear them properly. Gorgeous watch but I'll hope they release a 37-38mm PRX one day
I don’t know what it is - might be fashion watches but I no longer like the look of chronograph subdials. Wish more brands just made a single dial chronograph
I expected at least some Ennio Morricone music in the background. Looks good, I'll add it to the list. Or maybe I'll wait for the ugly bit of the video :)
I’d love to agree with you… but I just picked up this olive chrono brand new for a total of 1417 usd. (Around 1550 with California tax and shipping). I wish I could get a hanhart for that money!
Hideous. A PRX shouldn’t have chrono subdials and the attendant plungers. It also shouldn’t have a waffle dial. That’s a bunch of right angles withing a case that has angles, but not right angles. Clash. The motto is: keep it simple, stupid. Keeping it simple keeps it thin. The original concept of thin and simple is the purity and the whole point of the concept. If you want a chronograph, there are plenty of them out there. If you want a big fat mechanical watch, go get a big fat mechanical watch.
Entry level? Out of touch. Luxury? A vague quality. If this is an example of the Swiss watch industry, it is no surprise it is now stalling. A contemporary Citizen Chronograph with accurate solar technology represents greater quality at a fraction of this price. The quartz revolution is still ravaging the so-called 'luxury' market. Japan is where it's at, the Swiss need to rely on celebrity endorsement. Viva the quartz revelution!
Another fantastic adventure video with a watch review thrown in for good measure!
Great vid and great idea to go out in nature :)
they really need to color match that date wheel. It really breaks up what is an awesome-looking dial (still loving my 35mm auto ice blue prx)
Amazing shots! Great review
Why oh why do brands insist on adding a date window to a chrono (& a white one at that) at 4.30 position! It’s UGLY!
Why not make the date window darker? It’s like a shiny pimple ready to burst.

I loved Iceland and enjoying my PRX blue Chronograph.
Great intro

@@AffxctFPS Sweet!!! thank you so much for the info. That is super helpful. =)
Such beautiful landscapes, WOW
I love the watch, but is it a new model?🤔
Loved that you included shoots from iceland! Definitely one of the best episodes!
Oh wow okay that Teesu PRX Crunu looks nice
The date window kills the watch. Tissot needs to learn from the big boys.
That date window pops up too much IMO. I like date position but if the date is somewhere than in 3, the date base color should match better to dial color, Like in Seiko spb381
Give me one like this but rose gold with this green dail and i buy it.
FACTS!!!!! Green and gold is such an banger combo!!

THE WATCH LOOKS GREAT I LOVE THE DIAL I THINK TISSOT HAVE SO MUCH TO OFFER AND I THINK THE PRICE IS NOT BAD THANKS FOR THE VIDEO

For real 😊
I agree, the vast majority of people on earth can´t afford a 1000$ watch to begin with..
Amen😊
@@mattiasandersson9559ikr. I never understood how an omega and jlc are bang for buck when in my country, a gshock is considered expensive
I know right. I hate when these guys point out that I'm broke. Makes me so mad. Grrrr...
No Date might look even better
how are watch brands not using colour coded date wheels in this day!
It's very impressive indeed from the views, and this PRX doesn't get better than this Iceland, my goodness incredible, nice olive piece, make sure you visit St George Utah and talk about watches....until next time..
Love the video hate the watch
Video looks unusually cinematic, great job!
No screw down case back and they replaced metal parts with plastic parts on the ETA movement.

It would be better if they remove the date functionality and slim the watch a little bit. Also 40mm would be ideal size.
Why is the watch on the ground on top of a rock?
Is there plastic in this watch ?
Ive had 2 of these, one broke. The vhrono pushers are actually really cheap and hollow. Theyre easy to knock and then you need to send it to tissot to fix, that takes about 4 months. Unacceptable.
And something else you freezing out here n I see your video from Athens Greece with 35o celcious …😉😂
The case back is DISPLAY not open !

From my point of view, Tissot PR156 is better as a Chrono, the Dial is beautiful, but I prefer something more traditional

Not a fan of Tissot or any of their offerings… but this, this I like.
Basically that’s the thickness of any omega or Breitling lol
Can you say Vacheron at 1/30th of a price? Looks a lot better too.
Dam that things thicker then a 42.5mm planet ocean
Longines Omega Breitling grand Seiko much thicker lol
I don’t know what it is - might be fashion watches but I no longer like the look of chronograph subdials. Wish more brands just made a single dial chronograph
That date window..... really ruined the symmetry of the watch....
Who makes a watch with an ‘in house’ movement even a three hander let alone a chrono for £1000 ?
Tudor chronograph as big lol
Bello peccato per la data lo avrei preferito senza sarebbe stato più pulito e simmetrico
Great green but I like more a new green Frederique Constant Highlife Chronograph. You are so cool as usual👌💯
Why do you have so much clothes on? 😂
It’s summer in Iceland, it gets hot at 13 degrees 😂 hope you had a good trip
It would be great if you could also talk about prices in other currencies (€ in Germany/Spain or even USD). Thanks 🙌🏼
I expected at least some Ennio Morricone music in the background. Looks good, I'll add it to the list. Or maybe I'll wait for the ugly bit of the video :)
I hate!!!!! a beautiful dial ruined, by an horrific date window…. Especially at 4:30 🤮
beautiful video, watch is meh, no matching color date window + too thick
Take a shot every time he says "little bit" and the room will be spinning in no time.
Not my cup of tea...
I have the beautiful white/silver panda
Did I miss an update on the giveaway? 😉
Hanhart do a better watch for the same money, Too thick and heavy on the wrist.
I’d love to agree with you… but I just picked up this olive chrono brand new for a total of 1417 usd. (Around 1550 with California tax and shipping).

I own panda model and this green is ugly AF
