      While I totally agree with you, I have always been confused about the number of slaps Barney gets. I can't help but wonder if there was something personal from Lily in that decision. Or something the writers consciously choose to draw out the comedy. I think it would have been really cool if we had found out later. Lily abused her powers as the slap bet commissioner to get back at Barney for a personal vendetta. Which would have been totally in line with her personality and some of the things she does throughout the series. My reason for this is Marshall prematurely slapped Barney, and he also tried to hide the fact that his slap was premature from him, and his punishment was three consecutive slaps. One for lying and two for a premature slap. So one can't help but wonder why Barney was giving the choice of ten slaps all at once or five at random? Should it not have been two slaps for the one premature slap committed by Barney? Based on the precedent set by Lily in her ruling of Marshall's premature slap. I don't know. This is just something I have always wondered.

      Wasn't that the one, which was supposed to be the final Episode before it got more episode and seasons? Victoria has always been my favorite, the actual mother being a close second.

    • @raulmiranda737
      @raulmiranda737 3 года назад +3

      @@puaykimteo2997 I still love victoria at the time of the ducky tie episode where ted bumps into her at an event. Then after that they had to make up weird quirks for victoria for ted to break up with her again. This is after victoria left klaus at the altar for ted. In the later seasons, Later seasons were just bad with a few good episodes sprinkled here and there. I wish they introduced the mother character earlier since she was the best part of the last season.

    One aspect that also went full circle is the song that Ted karaoked to Robin from Cheap Trick. When Ted blacked out, it was one of the only hazy memories he had and when they concluded the episode the song was playing faintly in the background. Cool song btw.

      I think he brought on a second collaborator to take on some work for him, so he can be more consistent with uploading on RUclips. Still sucks thought because it misses the mark on why I love Nerdstalgic videos. The pacing and narrating done by the original creator is some of the best Production RUclips has to offer and his videography takes are some of the most educated on this platform. No offense to the new but the original nerdstalgic creator is irreplaceable.

    This episode to be honest is my third favorite. To be honest it had my favorite Ted moment. When Ted said "You set me on fire." I don't think this episode is over looked I think everyone loves it. I never watched this show until 2015 a year after it ended. This is the first show I ever watched all the way through. My bride to be told me about it I was already a Jason Segel fan by the time I watched this show. I knew Neil Patrick Harris a little from Harold And Kumar first and second movie. I also knew Cobie Smulders from The Avengers. I love this show so much it was amazing. I have watched this show seven times I love it big time its my favorite sitcom of all time. I love the girl who played Trudy Danica McKellar she was in the good old show The Wonder Years. That was a show from 1988-1993 good show. This episode is so funny its my third favorite episode of HIMYM over all.

    How I Met Your Mother is my favorite sitcom, and while I'm not sure what my favorite episode is, this episode for all intents and purposes, *is* How I Met Your Mother, with the use of flashbacks, incomplete (at first) stories, and different perspectives all fitting together like a jigsaw to tell the story - it's very likely this was the episode they were using to explain that this is the kind of show they wanted to do.
    Great video, I really liked how you described things and how the episode works - very well done. Slight correction though, the characters were in the late 20s to... somewhere in their 30s for most of the show (Ted turned 28 in Season 1.)
    Also, Ted's a beta male? Awesome, I knew I was like Ted!

    My favorite episode (I forget the name) is where Ted's date is someone he met online. The pacing and writing of that episode is incredible, with unique jokes firing off every minute and landing every time, culminating in the revelation that the method Ted met her "online" was actually World of Warcraft (and that Ted's character was the petite female elf was the cherry on top).
