I want to put pocket hole and screwe in large picture frame miter corners. Not at 15degree as I want to fill visible hole with a walnut button . I need for strength . Want one or 2 screwed in corner of shaped wood frame approx 1 1/4” x 2 1/4 inch . End glue up is nit strong enough. 15 degree slot kills button cover over 3/8 Kreg hole ? How to do!

I made a frame using pocket holes and you have to put them near the inside angle because the barrel of the pocket hole is pretty long. I'd try it on a few scrap pieces first.
