  • Playing with the Bunker project,,, there is not much progress in this video. But we do discover a lot of stuff that can be improved upon! I still think that an under ground Data Center Bunker is a fun projekt.
I used the S2000 Power Station and their 200W Solar Panel. This is a nice set and in this video I show that it is able to run on the the box.

The ground surrounding the bunker will easily sink a kilowatt of heat output, Morten.
I can only repeat what I said before as I, a someone who studied physics once, am pretty confident of knowing where the water comes from: It's not raining in or something. There is cold, moist air circulating through the even colder bunker and condensating there. As steam drops in volume to 1/800th when condesating, this generates extra suction and more air heavy with water ready to condense comes in.
The only option I see to get the bunker to any degree of dryness is putting serious loads of computer power in there to get the temperature up and thus get an electricity bill that goes all the way from your place to Copenhagen.
Quite honestly, I think there's no chance to get any real use out of the bunker as mini data center in the garden. The mini pcs you want to use there don't nearly generate enough heat to save the project.
I remember another project of yours which was using the water from your basement well to climatise your data centre in summer. The old tank may come in handy there: Place upright in that corner of your Playhouse, it could be a housing for the heat exchanger for an air intake of your data center. But even there, I doubt it would be ideal.

My church's underground room has your same basement issues, the water is rising from the elevator because there is a well (old hole with water down) very near the elevator so the water penetrates the elevator walls and flows into the room, so they installed a pump to dry that, and the other day the pump failed and we had to manually dry all the room with 2 mm of water down there... to get into the pump and discover that the power cable was broken

When you have the PC equipment, etc. running in the bunker that'll be giving off some heat.
Is it worth investigating insulating the surface of the walls (as currently they will be conducting most of the heat with the surrounding soil)?

I honestly think you would've been better off using liquid nails - that stuff is absolutely impressive. problem though is that the temperature changes from day to night will cause some mechanical fracturing in the glue over time. the higher viscosity of the liquid nails means the glue stays in place and sticks to the intended surface.

I firmly believe that people should be allowed to live their lives how they see fit. However, I do find it foolhardy to criticize and mock the people who are concerned for your health. Here's an experiment for you to try, close you eyes and look at the sun. Do you still see the light? Yes, you do because your eyelids are very thin and cannot block the rays of the sun nor the UV emitted by an arc welder. Also the UV from that arc welder will burn your skin and could cause cancer. That is why a welders mask covers the whole face.

You are watching a video that I filmed approximately a week before you see it, that I had to spend 4 hours editing and uploading.. If you are watching it,, I AM FINE
If you cross the road with absolutely no traffic,, 10 meters away from the pedestrian crossing, and one person tells you that it would be a lot safer for you to use the pedestrian crossing. Well you are probably fine with it,, if there is 20 people on the other side that now comes over at tells you that it's safer for you to use the pedestrian crossing,, you get annoyed.
