  • In this video I am mostly just trying to fix everything that did not work out, in the last video. I got the whole thing painted, and are combining it with playing with solar.

I seal the end with a rolled up piece of paper towel(covered in silicone, as a cork), when reusing screw a long screw in to remove the plug each time to prevent it from drying out, the screw on cap may not be sealing well enough. It was funny seeing the dry one opening lol.. Cutting a bigger opening when they are clogged helps a lot, invest in a metal caulking gun. Looks great! Two part epoxy paint is expensive but may do the trick if the other doesn't hold up, cheaper in the long run, you'll want a gas mask for that stuff!

I think the 40cm opening, sets an interesting limit, and makes it more interesting.

I had another think, and thought you could think about putting a well roof type structure, so looks like a covered well

use a giant aquarium pump -- clean air and quieter/low power -- you can get huge air pumps for running hundreds of fishtanks of a fish store -- normal air pumps contaminate the air with bearing oil fumes and engine brushes particulate

This is a tiny bunker,, I will be getting a tiny pump..

You could try to get an startech rack. Then you can install 19“ equip/shelves and the rack is above the water.

I barely fit through the bunker opening,, it is very limited what I can get in there. So I do not think I need a 19" rack. It would only be the smallest of switches that would fit through the hole,, 40cm or 39-38 in real life,, so any rack server, would not fit.. and a 19" rack switch,, I am not going to be needing 24-48 network ports down there.

You could have glued or even better screwed railes (wood or metal) under the PC shelves. If you placed struts (rails) at 1U you could even then move the PC shelves around. Personally, I would have built the whole thing around a 19" size with mounting holes to the fron. Then use standard 19" shelves for the mini PCs

@@MyPlayHouse I think you misunderstood me. I was not suggesting you put a rack down there, just move your two wals out to 19” wide. That way you could put in some standard shelves to put the mini PCs.

Me too :-) I really wanted a Power Station with the UPS funktion,, I do have one,, the R2500 can do it,, bit it is to big to go through the hagths. Then I was hoping to power with solar, with grid as backup.
Switch,, a 8-10 port,, top of tiny rack switch,, maybe fiber uplink or POE...

Why not put the air pump in the bunker, given the noise it makes ?

I am aware that it sounded bad in this video,,, as you might have seen my neighbor had a bouncy castle setup just on the other side of the fence,, with a way larger air pump,,, You are herring two pumps,, and the camcorder also pickes it up was to well,, it was less in real life. I am not going to be running that pump,, 400w that is the same sa 4-5 servers....

It would be nice if you could try to charge these powerstations with a gasoline generator. Allpowers say in their website that you can charge ot with it but they dont want to answer to emails about it :(.

I do hope you realize - an air-paint-pump, like a hairdryer and a vacuum cleaner are not meant to run continually - I think - if you need one tu run for more than an hour - industrial versions are available

So far it has been doing pretty good!! But you are probably right,, I was not planning to run this all the time,, uses way to much power for that.
