  • ALLPOWERS sent me their S200 power station/solar generator for review. Instead of just reviewing another product on youtube, I thought this would be a great opportunity to explain everything people will want to know about power banks and solar generators in general. I use the ALLPOWERS S200 power station to explain all the numbers and features that could be important. I also put the S200 to the test to see if it lives up to the listed specifications. I hope this video was helpful and you were able to learn something new. Thanks for watching!

    Wow man, I’ve never seen anybody go through the specs on the side of the box and explain it so well but then TW200 riders tend to be smarter than the average bear! 👍

    Thanks for the video! I bought this model in the UK recently and I am having exactly the same capacity issue on my unit. It was completely empty when it arrived, and I did capacity tests several times both AC and DC output, and all results are less than 100Wh.

    • @4WheelKid
      @4WheelKid  Год назад +2

      no problem! did you see how it came out of the box? mine was backward so the cutouts didn't line up the buttons so I think it got turned on while in transit. someone commented saying they purposely have the batteries at zero for air transport. not sure exactly why but, yeah did not get close to the stated wh, I can understand the AC inverter having a parasitic draw to change the voltage, because inverters are like 95% efficient. did not even come close to living up to the stated rating.

    Hi. First of all I would like to congratulate you for the excellent and educational video. Please forgive me if my question is too simple, but when you say modified sine wave, and not recommending plugging in a laptop, are you referring only to the AC Outlet port or also to the USB-C port (which can also charge a laptop )? Thank you again.

    • @4WheelKid
      @4WheelKid  Год назад +2

      hey thanks. modified sine wave only refers to the A/c outlet, USB C should be the same as any other usb c port, perfectly fine plugging a laptop into the usb c port on this power station

    I have one of those handheld Oscopes and am hesitant to connect it to AC power after being told by an engineer I should do something with the ground before doing so. Do you have an idea what this is about and if I can connect my handheld Oscope to AC directly?

    • @4WheelKid
      @4WheelKid  Год назад

      if you have a multi meter like mine with the built in oscilloscope it's fine, mine is rated for like 1000 volts or something. the engineer is referring to a regular bench top oscilloscope, that has grounds exposed on the connectors and that can be very dangerous

      hey I have an MSI laptop as well and they are power hungry. you want something with a pure sinewave inverter then it depends on how much power you want. and how much you can spend. something like this is good www.amazon.com/Zendure-Lightweight-Emergency-Prevention-SuperBase/dp/B0BDLG9H1M/ref=sr_1_3?crid=161FEJ4IZQDOQ&keywords=zendure%2B600m&qid=1695587451&sprefix=zendure%2B600m%2Caps%2C226&sr=8-3&th=1

  • @ridethroughlifertl
    @ridethroughlifertl Год назад +4

    That was pretty informative. I've never been good with electrical like this. That box looks pretty neat. Too bad they didn't make all the controls and ports on the front, or you really could install it in an old cassette player deck slot in a vehicle. Then just have the box charge from the vehicle and use all the ports during non-driving times.

    • @4WheelKid
      @4WheelKid  Год назад +1

      Good to hear, the numbers can get confusing for sure, yeah that is such a good idea, maybe someone could come up with something exactly for that. Maybe have a usb port on the back as well with a switch on the front that you can use to power interior lights and not kill your battery, then its charging as the engine is running. Lot of cars have double din radios then when you install a single din there is an extra slot and might as well make it useful

    • @4WheelKid
      @4WheelKid  7 месяцев назад

      Glad to clear that up! It depends How long the trip is, how much power you need to charge stuff if you dont need an inverter I would go with this one its 266 watt hours and similar size just no inverter but it has 12v a.co/d/6YQjBqs

      interesting. it's not good for the cells to be discharged like that for long time storage. usually stuff with lithium batteries and all the other power stations I have gotten comes with 50-70% charge cause that's healthiest for the cells for long term storage, you never know how long product will sit in storage or transit

  • @wesley7202

    I read somewhere online that you are supposed to keep your powers station topped up to 100 every day after you use it is that true ?

    • @4WheelKid
      @4WheelKid  Год назад +3

      if your going to need to use it I would charge to 100% if your going to store it and not use it for a while then around 50 to 70% is the best state of charge to keep the lithium ion batteries healthy

    • @4WheelKid
      @4WheelKid  Год назад +1

      a little over 1 time. the mavic battery is 77wh I was getting about 100 actual wh out of this power bank. so you have about 23wh left after a full charge on the mavic battery plus you have to factor in that some power may be lost during the transfer process. also are you considering using the inverter to charge the mavic battery? because my mavic air charger won't even power on with modified sine wave inverters

    • @rhysezfpv
      @rhysezfpv Год назад

      @@4WheelKid Which inverter? This one Im talking about ? YES ! Mavic 3 batt can be charged by plugging the drone directly with batt inside using just a USB C cable. You dont need an actual charger base to charge it. Altho Im not sure if it will charge as fast. I have not even flown this brand new drone yet. If this pack works . It would be better buying an actual Mavic 3 batt. Since I travel with 2 drones inside my Ebike frame and this will give me time to charge a batt while traveling to another location. Or charge another drone on it. Thx
