  • On Todays Video I Test and Tear into A Powkey 200 Watt inverter/Power Bank. Being $100 At The Time Of making This Video I For What Ever Reason Had High Hopes For This Thing. Being Well Built Until You Got Down To The Battery In It. Could Use A little More Power On The Inverter Side Of Things.
    But For The Price Range And Compared To Other Power Stations Out There You Could Buy 10 Of These For Powering Small Loads Maybe 150 Watts Or So.
    Hope You Enjoy

    Wow - no BMS... amazing. looks like a good idea that went short on safety.

    good tear down...HF sells plastic pry tools for auto and there are good for tearing apart lipos batteries.
    would have like to see o-scope when doing load test and DVM on batteries.

    Good tear down. The AC side of mine died. Two of the mosfit blew out (the two in the upper left corner by the ground wire. It took a small chunk out of the circuit board as well. I have been trying to repair it but could not find a wiring diagram anywhere then I found your video. Now I can zoom in on the upper left corner and see how those two Mosfits are supposed to be wired up. When the blew they took the soldering pads with them so I was just going to run very thin wire to make the connections again. Thanks for making such an in-depth teardown. I only wish you could have held the circuit board up to the camera in order to get a better look. Take care and very awesome in-depth video.

      Glad you liked it. I'll be sure to give better close up shots of the boards I tear down in the future. Thanks for watching

    Bor BMS is mounted on main pcb
    You shouldn't worries about safety

    Looks like the BMS was at the bottom left corner of the board.

    does the inverter function while it's plugged in to a charge source? I'd like to use it as a small UPS with decent capacity for runtime if it does

      The inverter doesn't operate while charging but the usb and other DC components do

    I actually have one, it’s actually not pure sine wave because when I plug an AM radio into it, it makes a loud buzzing noise that interferes on all stations

      Well the oscilloscope wave form shows and appears to be pure sine wave. I do know older Am radios in these times suffer from a lot of interference do to cell towers and household electronics but it could also be this unit is putting out the wrong Hz and or doesn't have a proper ground to help shield from interference.

    Do you think this would power a 60 inch smart tv?

    • @OperationCamp
      @OperationCamp  3 месяца назад

      Oh yeah. Pretty sure it would because they use around 80 to 100 watts depending on if it's OLED or not because they use more power. But it would only last about an hour or so.

    I bought one for Amazon. Lasted 11 months. Only used it 5 times. That was charging it three times. Then I went camping so I changed it. But the LEDs just stayed on while charging. Since nothing works. So. Left with a laughing useless box of total rubbish.
