Great Review! In case you were still wondering. You can tell that the tool takes advantage of the inductive voltage spike coming from the distributor. So without getting to complicated it doesn't use batteries. Pretty nifty tool. I did not know that they existed.
Well this was very informative. I found this thing on the floor in a parking lot. I was about to toss it until I saw Matco. I was like wait this must be a tool.
Almost did it. Have a little leak in one of my cylinders. So I don't want to push more air into my bottom end. So I am undecided (and low on cash), on how I want to do this. Kind of would like to put a b18c in it, but I also like the y8. Think I am going to just go by what ever engine comes my way.

I use my inductive timing light most mechanics have one.

what evers available and affordable is always good, stock y7 has great gas mileage in the mean time though lol
