I made this on monday and it lasted us soooo long because we cood keep it in the fridge and my husband said it was the best banoffee pie he's ever tasted. Thanks kate :-)
This deliciously rich dessert looks fabulous ! I have to try this...using your method to make the caramel layer. Thanks, for another excellent recipe video !
I tried this today and it was a hit! everybody loves it. It's gone in few minutes. I didnt have the patience to boil the milk for hours so i tied to put it on the pan, cook in low heat until desired color and consistency was achived.
I dont know how to cook but your recipes is so easy to follow. I enjoy making all the puding, even my husband love it! I have a request, can you show how to make creme caramel. Thank you..
Thank you, i'm glad you enjoy the videos and the recipe's. I have popped creme caramel on my list for you. This weeks video is creme brulee you might like to give that a go! Kate
I made this on Saturday, and shared it with my friends and they and I loved it!. Thank you Kate for sharing the recipe! =)I'm now looking forward to making other desserts that you've got on your channel.
yummy, my favorite tried boiling the condensed milk in a tin last night it was so nice we ate it all,so am going to make my condensed milk from scratch tonight and boil in a jar....then will try this......wow it will take ages having to work from scratch... but worth it I bet .....
Great recipe, I do however think there is too much butter in it, I used about 15 or 20 grams less because I didn't want the base to be covered in a greasy layer. I also used ginger biscuits for the bottom, that also is very tasty, I recommend using them for the base, it is a really nice flavour combination. Thank you for the lovely recipe.
InTheKitchenWithKate It is really great, I wasn't sure at first but they where the only once I had, I am glad I used those. It has a really nice flavour combination.
Looks delicious! I prefer to make Strawboffee pie, just replacing the bananas with strawberries. I would love to see you make Battenberg cake. All of the recipes I see are so different & I would love to make it sometime!
Hi, how long can you keep it fresh in the fridge without changing the taste? Looking to make a dessert in advanced for an occasion. Or an alternative? Thank you
i used to make it when i was in u.k. so many years ago. i tried to make it in my home country but cream melted and it looks terrible... Should i put in a fridge caramel (or biscuits and caramel basement) before piping cream? thanks for your sharing :)
As we have added fresh cream to the top it is best eaten on the day or the day after. It should be fine up to 2-3 days maybe more but it really depends on how your cream is looking! I hope this helps! Kate :)
Kate! It was so good and really tempting. Unfortunately my cream didn't fluff out and horrible result came. Last time I made it was quite thicken but today, it melts down. I made pie for my daughter's 7 months birthday, hope it taste delicious.
You should try keep it in the fridge for at least half an hour before serving so it can set. However, it's more to set the cream as the caramel will never completely set as it will always be soft so just keep it in the fridge when not eating so the cream doesn't go all sloppy. Hope this helps Kate :D

Another way to make caramel is with butter, soft light brown sugar and a tin of condensed milk and make it a bit like the caramel in my millionaires shortbread video but gently melt the butter and sugar in the pan and then once all the sugar has dissolved add your condensed milk and cook for 5-8 mins until it has thickened and has turned the colour of caramel! Hope this helps you! Kate
I followed the recipe to a T and it was delicious! but the Caramel was a bit runny.(I bought carnation caramel) Do you have any tips on how to make it thicker?
Hey Hanis, the only problem with the banoffee pie is that it has fresh cream on so it is best eaten the same day or the next day for best taste but it may be fine up to 2-3 days or longer but it really depends on how your cream is looking! I hope that helps. Kate :)
Really simple! gonna make this soon! Few questions please, would those canned squirty whipped cream suffice? And also is there any dairy-free alternative to the whipped cream (Lactose intolerant >.
omg that way of making caramel has amazed me!!
I made this recipe for my family and once I tasted it I wanted to grab it, run and eat it alone, hidden somewhere in the house :D You are great!

Now I just have to do it.
I boiled condensed milk for 2 hours but it's not as brown as I thought it would be. Do you know why it might be?

Do you have to use the caramel straight away? Or can you store it?
read somewhere that you can store it up to three months
Can you make the caramel well in advance. Like 2 or 3 at a time and keep it in fridge or something?. If yes how long can you keep it pls
eddie you can just buy caramel it takes so long to actually make it
you can keep it 3 months in an unopened can

Hi kate. Is it possible to use condensed milk instead of melted unsalted butter for the base?
When I was a kid me and my mum used to crumble a flake over the cream :)
Me too!!
How long do you keep the pie in the fridge after it is done? +in the kitchen with Kate
Oh no! Did you over whip it? Make sure it's cool when you whip because if the cream is warm it won't whip as easily! Hope you enjoy it
When you whip the cream with the mixer, does the bowl need to be cold or is it enough that the cream is only cold? Thanks!
Tried this recipe, it was so delicious !
Lovely and easy.
I loooove banoffe pie. My mum put merignue on it once and it made it perfect :)
looks amazing! but how long should I keep it in the fridge before serving?

Could you have a look at doing pumpkin pie
Hello, I am looking into doing a pumpkin pie recipe! So hopefully I can upload one for you! :) Kaye
I followed the recipe to a T and it was delicious! but the Caramel was a bit runny.(I bought carnation caramel) Do you have any tips on how to make it thicker?
Superb pie crust method. You might want to use a pressure cooker and make the caramel thicker, that oozing out doesn't look professional. Great idea
awesome 👌 can we use mangoes instead of bananas ??

Hello!! This looks so easy! Can I make this whole dessert the night before serving it? Or does it have to be done on the same day?
