- The Smoke Show S10 has done a recovery in New Mexico with Matts Offroad Recovery, why not test its skills in the mountains of Utah with @RobbyLayton and the gang. Also I have seen an extreme amount of failures in the recovery tool department and decided to step up to some tried and true products for future recoveries. I am not a recovery channel, hahaha!

great call on ditching the Amazon recovery gear 😉just saw a bronco dude get leaked by a Amazon soft shackle. It broke at the recovery rig end and had enough stored energy to bounce back and break through windshield and hit dude in the chin causing a deep laceration which cause lots of blood to pour out, which he & everyone else though was a jugular laceration which resulted in a life flight heli flying him to a hospital

When it comes to maneuverability and lightness, the S10 is right up there with the Banana. You got the formula right Colt and can only get better from here. 🔥

Colt was always my favorite part of that Bl**ping channel. No bad wishes for the Bl**ping channel but I sure expect Colt to do well with this new start. His on camera personna and his infectious personality makes him an excellent choice for the Off-Road Games MASTER of Ceremony. I would trust Colt to regear my Jeep before trusting it to the 'specialty shops' in town. I live in the northern UT area. What say ye, Colt? 🤣❤

Nice recovery. Using the two point pull did the trick. Of course you as MC at The Games will need a bank of script writers to capture all the jargon coined by other rescuers to get 'em back on the trail again!

Colt I really like what you did to /with your s10. I have a 82 sport s10 2.6 v6 5 speeding Jack's for 19 years. Had 486k miles before the rebuild.

I'm building a jeep for my best friend, who is a combat veteran.
I have never done anything like it before and am not sure what to do next.
He has a spinal injury, which he got from a combat jump, the VA says is not service related...
So I'm trying to do long arms and coilovers, so it's soft on his back.
I'm located pretty close to Matt, but they are too busy.
I have a drive train lined up, I just need to fabricate the mounts and such.
I think I can do that, but all this is new to me, including welding.
I thought it would be a good video series and had even thought about starting my own RUclips building it.
If you're interested that would be cool if not I understand.
Solid upgrades on the recovery gear. Yankum are good people and make great gear. I’d recommend you add a receiver hitch recovery point (yeah, I saw you wrap that synthetic line around the hitch pin, rubbing on the receiver hitch 😉). Yankum & Factor 55 both make great ones, right here in the great state of Idaho. 👍
The 10' Trailmater Yankum Rope is a very nice tool. And, it is the right color!!!😊

You and Merlin ought to build a jet car they used to do it back in 1975 with Cadillacs it took out of all the took him out of jet props and put them into The Cadillacs and would outrun the cops on highway 10 down in Palm springs I think Merlin would really love doing this and then take it up to Bonneville and see if you can get it up to 200 mph Plus just an idea

Green is my favorite color for sure but i have to take it easy on the spending for a few weeks just did new rear leafs, wheel bearings, front brakes, brake lines, wheels, tires, and lift for my xj so just got to get it on the trails i do have a bubba rope though

Great recovery, and it's great to see that you upgraded your recovery gear, but please don't teach people to do recoveries using hitch pins.

I just can't get over how tough and cool looking you S10 over lander is Colt. That thing just looks capable and beefy. I know that the original S10 was not that big I used to have a single cab version it was a 1978 with a V6 and manual 5 speed transmission.

I hope this is not going to be another recovery channel. Unless they do something super stupid. U had me with the s-10 build and trail riding but losing me on recoverys. I would be more interested in the move your making and plans for the future. Mabee its just me but I can watch recovery videos all day on here. You have a natural talent use it. Find your own path.
I am not a recovery channel, but I will continue to assist my friends in recoveries when they need it.
