As a 21 year Retired Vet that is also disabled, thank you for those kind words and the sentiment of putting those plated in a special spot. Love watching you work and I am on the side of loving the detail you put in!!!
I dont want every video to be super long, but having a whole axle rebuild in one video instead of a 16 part series is perfect! You did a wonderful job explainign what ive been piecing together over many years!
You're doing the work anyway, I appreciate you showing the step by step content. Other content rich videos as such gave me the confidence to change the the cam and lifters in my 2016 direct injected 6.2 LT.
It’s strange; I like Bleepin Matt and I try to watch his videos, but I usually just start listening, then I get on my phone, and eventually the video is over. You have much of the same content, but when your video is on I stay engaged listening and watching. Whatever you (and Nate, same thing) do different, it works for me. I just don’t know what it is.
I enjoy your long videos when you're building because you get into small details that many people don't know. I look at them as learning opportunities.
Colt I appreciate the shout out and it was my honor to serve. I was also an EMT/firefighter. Next time through NM we'll try to get up your way. Not necessary but if you feel like it some stickers for my buggy would be nice! Thanks again for the content.
Buddy I've never done anything like what you do but it's fascinating. You explain exactly what you are going to do, why and how. The detail really makes it interesting.
I really enjoy how you explain all your steps in a build. For us backyard DYIer's the information provided really helps out with not just the how to do it, but also the why did I do it.
Congratulations on your W E Rock trophy. I know you have a place for it on your trophy wall. Someday it would be interesting to hear your recollections of them all.
Former NASCAR super late model crew chief here. WD-40 is a great tire softener and it will not trigger tire softener sniffers. Not sure if that's a thing with off road racing, but it sure is with racecars. We used to hose tires inside and out daily with WD-40 the week before a race. Keeping them in garbage bags doubles the effectiveness.
Yes the last video was a little long, but I thank you !!!! I have a set of D-44's I bought believing they were one ton axels now I know I can use them with no worries, not to mention you just save me the cost of having someone else doing it. THANK YOU again !!!
I loved every minute of the vid. Not that I'll ever own a 44. However, breaking it up to a couple/ times a week would be awesome! Totally sucks to wait all week for some of our favorite tubers. But, I'll take it however I can get it. Keep up the great work, Colt. God bless you, man.
I've got to admit that I'm not a huge fan of the longer content, but man that's a me problem, not a you problem! That axle is looking gooooood, cant wait to see it under the car!
I like how you show as much as you can. For those that are looking on how to do. I'm 62 years old and do it myself. And you have should me some things.
As I have said several times....BEST CHANNEL ON THE WEB.... pls don't dumb down the technical stuff...if it's longer than optimal for some they can hold the 2x down ....ok god bless you all ❤️🇺🇸
I really enjoyed your last two videos of where you took time to explain all this and those knuckleheads think it’s too long. Just tell him to shut up don’t watch I enjoyed you need the time to explain to understand and do what you do.
Video request...Some day will you make a video showing us the behind the scenes how you track down late model parts for your custom builds. For example, how did you figure out a Chevy Astro gearbox was the right part you needed for Smokeshow? This would be a huge help for any of us that are not walking encyclopedias of old part specs. Thanks and keep up the awesome work.
Nice ... As far as long videos go , got to love the 2X speed and the scroll bar on the bottom of the video... Can't say that ive used them on your videos though...
Another great video jam packed with tips and tricks. Wish I had the experience and knowledge you have. It is great that you take the time to educate and share that knowledge with us. I have a Suzuki Samari that one day I want to convert it into a rear steer buggy. Thanks for sharing.
I gotta to thread through 10.9 Bolts on the front hubs of my Kubota. It has Bolts from the factory but its a Paint to thread them in from the outside while holding up the dang tire lol You have great content and enjoy how you explain things instead of just mentioning it and moving on. Please keep it up!!
Make your videos as long and in depth as you feel necessary. Differentials used to be intimidating, but your videos have helped me figure out how to fix my F150 rear diff. I love watching and learning that stuff, I also like to be able to reference back to those kinds of videos. Also you probably know this but vinegar takes the zinc/galvanized coating off of hardware and also seems to remove anodizing or whatever the goldish plating on grade 8 stuff, it does sometimes take some time but I do this every time I need to weld those things. Thanks for the cool videos.
Love these technical videos. Just a suggestion, make sure these are searchable and have the keywords for the exact work. That way if others are looking for a How-To on doing these tasks it comes up. Getting those extra views :)
The whole series on the 9 inch I was waiting for that tack weld to keep the axle in. Ran em in stock cars forever. That little tack weld was important. I so wish the other manufacturers back in the day went with the 9 inch Ford idea. I even ran a pinion /ring gear miss match, for years. Both same ratios just different pinions and ring gears. Sad that so many went to the salvage yard and gone forever.
Loved your dana 44 build episode. I run a high pinion in my f-250 that I'm proud to say we build very similar. I've broke everything and upgrade constantly as it breaks. I've live in a very remote location in the mountains of idaho. The winters are brutal and can be life threatening when we travel. We have 10miles of unmaintained dirt roads to nearest pavement. Chains are a must and my winch gets worked a lot. This season will be test of molly axles and Yukon spiders that's have been weak links.
This OnX build is great, You and Rudy have my favorite (unique) builds, Robby is going over the top (surprise), The Scottish flash is basically building an bug-eyed XJ, and the one armed bandit is building a rat rod.
I love the longer videos yes and if you don't then stop it and don't watch or watch and learn people have to realize not even one know how to do it and new people to the channel that wants to can it's for new and old so give Colt so respect he is trying to help everyone on here and Colt and fam love all the videos and God bless all
Super awesome videos colt! I personally Like the longer videos. Explaining things in detail and not just boasting thru the fab isn’t the way to do it. Some people want just the information and don’t get taken into the video. Screw that take your time! No reason to shorten things and cut corners and leave any doubt! I like how you explain everything thing in detail it’s the attention to details that sets fabrication apart from just slapping something together! Dude I love the funnel tree! I had to pause and rewind a few times to study it and figure out what was going on there! Great idea! All the left over oil in the funnels just flows down into a jug! If you’re collecting license plates…dude! I have stacks of the things. Mostly all Colorado stuff, bunch of motor cycle plates and weird stuff. Some are mine over the years, and a lot of them are from when I worked At the Chevy dealership in Gunnison! They had boxes and boxes full of of license plates! Stacks and stacks of them! You can have what ever you want if you’re doing a license plate wall. If you’ve ever been to crested butte there’s a famous old house there in town, that’s been covered in license plates for 40-50 yrs. It’s famously known, it’s called the ‘license plate house’ I think it’s now a coffee place in CB. But it’s famously known…and There’s a guy in Gunnison that was doing kinda the same thing on his barn/shop with license plates, road signs and metal signs. I gave him a big stack of road signs and plates one time when he was first getting started. What’s the infatuation with sidekicks? You wanting to build a samurai? I know everyone that’s building a samurai wants the Suzuki sidekick motors, there a little big bigger displacement and fuel injected. And they bolt right in I think? I had a Suzuki sidekick years ago when I was still back in woodland park/ divide I bought off a buddy for $300 lol, it ran and drove and everything, it was only Missing the hard top, and the factory soft top was trashed. I drove it around all summer in woodland/ divide and the springs with no top on the back lol, got stuck in a few hail/ monsoon storms on the west side of the springs waiting out the storm under a bank drive thru covered roof lol. I rigged up a camo harbor freight tarp cover just incase I was out somewhere and couldn’t find cover. It didn’t have carpet and I drilled additional holes in the floor so any water could drain out the back lol. The body wasn’t the greatest, it was straight but it had a little rust in it in the floor from years of sitting with no top on it. But it was a running little mini monster! I sold it to some guy that wanted it for a Samurai swap. The auto trans was staring to slip a little, that was the only downside was it was an auto. Would have been better if it was a manual 5 speed I would have kept it, but having only $300 bucks in it i was set up pretty good to not loose any money. The motor ran great and hardly had any miles on, just over 100k miles on the dash it was solid as the came. There definitely getting harder and harder to find these days. I’d love to have one just to buzz around in again. That thing was a blast. Simple, basic, nothing to complicated or sophisticated, 4wd and light weight and fuel efficient. And easy to mod the heck out of. A solid axle in the front would be so easy. Everyone wants the motors for Sami swap but i think doing a solid axle swap on the sidekick would be the way to go. Suzuki Sami’s are hard to come by these days, in any decent solid condition that isn’t beat to piss and rusted out. I think a jeep front axle would be perfect. Nothing crazy big or hella built, lol the little 1.8l ego motor don’t have that much power. A jeep dana 44 front axle would be over kill id think heh. Maybe even a cj5 front axle, like what a dana 20 or 30? Would be about close to the same width? Do front and rear cj5 or cj7 axles to keep everything paired up and the same. I’ll keep an eye out for ya over here in grand junction! There’s all sorts of hidden gems over here that people don’t want.
Colt, I have a '92 "Sidekick", but here in Indonesia they are called Vitara. The also made a 2WD version called Escudo. Mine is a manual trans with a 1.6L SOHC. The standard gears are 5.13, but I want to go lower.

I ran a set of those SSR's on my toyota, and they were pretty good once I did the pineapple cut. The pacer is definitely my favorite build in this series. Also, im a true colt fan so it doesn't matter how long your videos are I'm still gonna watch it.
When I bought my 69 k20 suburban it had 37s on the back 35s up front and I bought it from the original owner who always ran it like that till the lift I believe it was 35s and 32s but since the 80s I've been running it that way when I get it on the 1 tons with custom springs I might go 37s all around it depends if the ass is sagging ill stick with 35s to level it
The bible verse at the end of the videos is a nice touch! What do you recommend for axle paint? Looks like Duplicolor? I'm working on a e-locker axle with my son for our 4Runner and want to paint it before it goes in. I'm learning a lot from your videos. Appreciate you brother! God bless!
I used their spray paint because I still need to clean off areas to weld but if you have a done axle. I'd look into the Krylon in a paint can. It rolls/brushes on thick and really keeps the axle looking good long term.
Colt I knew you would love the 911 plate. It now has a good home to be enjoyed by many.
As a 21 year Retired Vet that is also disabled, thank you for those kind words and the sentiment of putting those plated in a special spot. Love watching you work and I am on the side of loving the detail you put in!!!
The bible verse at the end, good touch! God Bless you and your family!

I love how your wife still rides next to you while driving. That’s awesome.
Colt always with the good tips & info.
I appreciate that!
It’s strange; I like Bleepin Matt and I try to watch his videos, but I usually just start listening, then I get on my phone, and eventually the video is over. REALLY LOVING THE BUGGY .. the best thinG about bleepin jeep was COLT BUILDS IT .. learning every show !
Big fan of your content. Keeps me motivated to press on with my own project. The work is slow going! 😂
I enjoy your long videos when you're building because you get into small details that many people don't know. I look at them as learning opportunities.
Definitely keep up the technical content. They can fast forward if they don't want to set up gears
Colt I appreciate the shout out and it was my honor to serve. I was also an EMT/firefighter. Next time through NM we'll try to get up your way. Not necessary but if you feel like it some stickers for my buggy would be nice! Thanks again for the content.
Do the videos any way you want. I'm just grateful for the constant knowledge drop!
Thanks, will do!
I didn't think this was longer content. As long as it's captivating, I'll watch. All your content is interesting. 👌👍
Buddy I've never done anything like what you do but it's fascinating. You explain exactly what you are going to do, why and how. The detail really makes it interesting.
Thank you
Another Vote for keep up the Technical Content, those who don't want it, can fast forward.
I love it when you work on gears, I always learn something every time! Thanks, for all the awesome videos.
I like longer videos, screw the haters. Can’t wait till you and Rory race the pacer
Same
Always the best content!
👍🏽🇺🇸👍🏽 longer videos are good. You do you and we’ll watch em
Colt us true fans will watch a 2 hour video if you put it out. Keep up the excellent work brother
Yes sir.
Agreed💯👍
I appreciate that
Might take a few nights of watching but sure will enjoy it😎
Long videos are my favorite!
I really enjoy how you explain all your steps in a build. For us backyard DYIer's the information provided really helps out with not just the how to do it, but also the why did I do it.
Pro Tip: Always shorten the tube you are notching so the hole saw only has to cut half a circle. Saves time, heat, and hole saws.
Congratulations on your W E Rock trophy. I know you have a place for it on your trophy wall. Someday it would be interesting to hear your recollections of them all.
Another step along in the progress of getting the Racer Pacer/Girth Mobile finished. Looking good.
Do the videos how ever you want Colt, it's you channel after all. People will complain no matter what you do.
Thank you for the detailed Dana 44 video. The editing and camera work are butter-smooth great work!
I'm getting really tired of OnX changing rules durring the build.
Love your work as usual.
The title alone got me lol, fantastic work colt!

Colt the sidekick whisperer!! LOL
Great to see the verses brother...
Looking forward to seeing the ol Pacer on the trails...it's a pretty cool build 🤠👍
Colt- I didn’t watch the whole video. But I saved it to my “off-road build” list in case I need all the info.
I like the longer videos, it means a lot to me when you show and explain in depth what you are doing!
Colt I really enjoy how detailed oriented your. It’s nice to see, along with Tom Tom
Thanks!
Yes the last video was a little long, but I thank you !!!!
I have a set of D-44's I bought believing they were one ton axels now I know I can use them with no worries, not to mention you just save me the cost of having someone else doing it. THANK YOU again !!!
Colt I wouldn't worry about it. They don't have to watch it all. I enjoyed it and sounds like most of your other fans loved it too.
Looking Good 👍😎✊
Soon I plan on building my first off road automobile, I'll be watching your videos again for all your expertise and tricks.
👉Appreciate the Scripture. Excellent craftmanship and attention to detail and on the axle.
Great work. The longer the videos the better. I learn something new each episode. ;)
Thank you Colt for the update on the OnX Off Road build !
Hi guys doing great work on pacers love seeing your shows every time
I really enjoy the longer videos but keep making the shorter ones too. Only got so long on my lunch break
Long videos are awesome Colt !
As I have said several times....BEST CHANNEL ON THE WEB.... pls don't dumb down the technical stuff...if it's longer than optimal for some they can hold the 2x down ....ok god bless you all ❤️🇺🇸
I'm really surprised you aren't over 200k viewers yet. Great video.
Wow, thank you!

I appreciate the in-depth build.
As lifted bubbles go, this is my favorite.

The Racer Pacer is coming along nicely.
Also I dig the Dana 44 build video. Good info in case I slip one under my ZR2 Blazer to replace the IFS.
After that video i dug out all my parts and started building my 44 for my tj keep it up
I love the build content you are putting out. Keep up the great work!
I loved the long axle video. Thanks!

I love going to junk yards it's like going on a treasure hunt
We call junk yards the mens mall lol. Great video as always! Thanks for sharing and teaching at the same time.
Dinosaur Colorado USA saying hello and stay safe out there brother ❤🤔👍🤙🙏🙏🙏🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Thanks for another great video. Lottery would be having you upgrade the axles on my 73 K20. You do amazing work Sir. Thanks for all the great content.
I could keep Colt busy for a month gearing and locking my WJ build. But, I guess I'll just have to spend 6 months doing it myself. lol
Matt says older worn tires are much better than new for sand and grip on rock. Nice job on the 9".
This OnX build is great, You and Rudy have my favorite (unique) builds, Robby is going over the top (surprise), The Scottish flash is basically building an bug-eyed XJ, and the one armed bandit is building a rat rod.
9 inches are legendary, but i still prefer it's big brother the 14 bolt. Full float or bust 😂
I love the longer videos yes and if you don't then stop it and don't watch or watch and learn people have to realize not even one know how to do it and new people to the channel that wants to can it's for new and old so give Colt so respect he is trying to help everyone on here and Colt and fam love all the videos and God bless all

love the detail in your vides
great job! love the oddball builds!
My 9" with gm eldorado calipers uses a disc brake bracket that bolts to the retainer plate with shims to space it out for the rotor. Works fine
I love the pacer looks great
Colt, I have a '92 "Sidekick", but here in Indonesia they are called Vitara. The also made a 2WD version called Escudo. Mine is a manual trans with a 1.6L SOHC. The standard gears are 5.13, but I want to go lower.
Between Rory and yourself should do great in the onex off road challenge.
great as always great content very entertaining
Been watching this intently! Please put the flames on like the Wayne’s world pacer! I am building a tj with trailing arms and hopefully airbags inspired by Dave chapelle. Question I have though is with bushings on the trailing arms like you have should the lowers be parallel to the frame rails and upper triangulated or will they work as triangulated uppers and lowers? Good luck on the build, I’m loving it!
Hmmm, do I hear a race between the Racer Pacer and the Baja Corvair brewing?
Next time you have a coating like Zinc, galvanize, or other put them in pool acid. Wait till it quits bubbling and rinse with water.
Thanks, Colt.
My stock 1986 F150 had a wider front to rear ratio than that. I was shocked when the rear dif exploded and I learned this.
Ha, I have both of the vehicles you were prowling around, 95 sidekick and an 01 disco2
GREAT VIDEO! God Bless
That celica gt was cool
There was a used Samurai for sale in Kirtland by the Southwest Tint shop
I ran a set of those SSR's on my toyota, and they were pretty good once I did the pineapple cut. The pacer is definitely my favorite build in this series. Also, im a true colt fan so it doesn't matter how long your videos are I'm still gonna watch it.
Right on
When I bought my 69 k20 suburban it had 37s on the back 35s up front and I bought it from the original owner who always ran it like that till the lift I believe it was 35s and 32s but since the 80s I've been running it that way when I get it on the 1 tons with custom springs I might go 37s all around it depends if the ass is sagging ill stick with 35s to level it
Sweet work 😊😊😊
My only problem with Colt is…
We’re not best friends…
Longer videos with detailed hands on is a Big ten-4
The bible verse at the end of the videos is a nice touch! What do you recommend for axle paint? Looks like Duplicolor? I'm working on a e-locker axle with my son for our 4Runner and want to paint it before it goes in. I'm learning a lot from your videos. Appreciate you brother! God bless!
I used their spray paint because I still need to clean off areas to weld but if you have a done axle. I'd look into the Krylon in a paint can. It rolls/brushes on thick and really keeps the axle looking good long term.
didn´t OnX change the rules so that parts that was for safety like tires did not count towards the budget?
"9 inches of fun" on a "girth mobile". I swear I'm just watching a 4x4 video!
