Thanks for this, I want to line my crochet hats with satin to make them work better with curly hair but I don't sew so this is helpful.

Thank you so much for this video! I am knotting hats for a project that gives bags of supplies to rescued sex trafficking victims in New Mexico. I'm so excited to make these hats extra cozy!

I followed your suggestions but once the lining was inserted and sewn, the hat was tight, difficult to put on. I stretched the hat when cutting the lining but I did 2 hats and both are too tight to put on

Follow-up question - i bought some slightly thicker plush fleece to line my beanie. Would you recommend adding more rows and/or stitches to accommodate the lining? Thank you!@@prettydarnadorable

@@professorlauragonzalez2742 yes absolutely depending on how thick it is you may actually want to do one more increase round. 👍🏻

Cannot wait to line some of my crochet hats, thank you so much for this tutorial! I make both brimmed and regular beanies and I was wondering how to deal with a hat with a brim but you've demystified it for me!

You would do the same way - just make sure the satin us cut on the bias so it has a little stretch :)

So I'm an absolute beginner at sewing and I'm trying to line a hat. I'm mostly a knitter here and I'm watching the flipsy-doodle part thinking that's way more complex than it needs to be? I'm sure there's a reason though, and I'm curious why add the extra steps of attaching RS to WS and then doing a complex flip maneuver makes more sense than attaching it WS to WS directly. Why this method?

Is this like a minky fleece? My polar fleece is much thicker and not as nice. I think this would be great for those fighting cancer who have lost their hair.

Yes I can't remember what exactly it is called but it was different from the other fleeces - and more expensive but you need so little i decided to splurge :). I completely agree and probably wouldn't be itchy like some fleece can get when it is damp.

Would this work with satin to line instead of fleece?

This is not a brimmed hat.
