So glad I found this video. I was considering doing this with satin for all of my personal crochet hats. I’ve made a lot of hats but couldn’t wear them yet this winter because I got my hair braided. As a black female, our hair is more course and braids tend to grab the yarn fibers. Yarn pills in your hair is not a good look. 😬 Now I feel more confident that I can line my hats with my limited sewing skills too.

I love this! Especially recycling old or damaged fleece. Just finished your northern exposure pom hat for my daughter and I've been thinking about lining it. Thanks so much!

You always make each and every project look so easy and doable even sewing a lining inside of a hat…loved that you recycled too…such a big fan of recycling!! Thank you so much!!

This is a perfect idea! I'm definitely going to try this. Extra protection for the head from the cold is always a big plus.😃

Thanks for the tutorial. I followed your directions and used fleece but my hat completely lost the stretch and I wasn't able to wear it, because it was too small. It fit perfectly before the fleece liner. Any suggestions? Thanks!

What a cool idea! I'm now like dang it! I just tossed a pair of fleece pants one of my boys destroyed the knees out of. Lol Good to know for next time! Thanks for sharing this. (Even though I cringed when you were cutting but it ended up looking like it matched up evenly in the end. Lol)

I had done this fleece attachment, but the stretch of the hat wasn't there after I put the fleece. What to do

I love the hat! Does sewing the band inside affect the stretch of the hat, or does the fleece have enough ‘give’ that it doesn’t? I can’t wait to try this!!!

I have been wearing it all week and it stretches enough to be very comfy!

I used it on my daughter's slouchy beanie with polar fleece(thicker fleece) it's still slouchy.

What if the fleece isn't as stretchy as the hat?

how do you measure the fleece for the stretch factor of the hat when the person wears it

To hide my stitches I actually sew the fleece in with the same color yarn as the crochet hat.
