I love Wes' intros. They make me laugh out loud every time! It really sets the mood and itis FUN! Thank you for continuing to do this show -- a great time!
This film is one of the greatest buddy films of all time. Candy and Martin just had a natural synergy that amplified each other all through the film. I watch it every year when it airs.
I just think its so funny how wes is so good at this podcast host thing. He really gets in the zone when he's reminiscing or throwing out abstract thoughts at ty and the guests. Gotta love the man.
This film is definitely one of my personal favorites, I try to watch it every year around the Holidays. It's absolutely timeless. Martin and Candy were SO good together!!!
5:25 - Same. The first time I flew (age 20 or so, 1990 or 91), I wore a suit because all the passengers in Airplane! and the Airport movies were dressed up, and I assumed that was the rule. Nowadays you’re lucky if people wear shoes.
What about Canadian Bacon for a John Candy movie? Sure miss him. Thanks for the scene by scene. Definitely one of my favorite John Hughes Holiday movies.
I love that this movie includes another Hughes film- She’s Having a Baby. Kevin Bacon’s character is the lead in that film- made the comment before Wes commented. Should have had more patience.
With my GF we have a joke in which we look each other and we say in suffer voice: "in your heaaaaaarrtt!!! the wife was dead, he don't have a home, in your hearth, in your little hearth!"
I love how this podcast evolved from talking about my favourite show to talking about my favourite movies.

Uncle Buck was always my favorite film of Candy, although his depth in Planes, Trains, and Automobiles is quite astonishing.
The end makes me cry every time. Such a good, classic film.

Candy was channeling the Little Tramp. Chaplin invented comedy pathos, and Candy had the Chaplin touch.
Loved it, great timing for the holiday. Keep it rolling boys.
A rare, perfect movie.
I freaking can't wait, this movie is my childhood!! 🎉🎉🎉
This movie is the one I point to when I'm challenged to give an example of a perfect movie.
My vote is for The Great Outdoors, quote it all the time.
Great selection of topic John Candy is in the zeitgeist.
That American Eagle terminal at LAX is horrendous after an intercontinental trip. At least it is clean, though.

" going berserk" is the best candy movie

With the shower scene, I believe John Candy went in and had a "whores bath" while Steve showered.
Last week on American Airlines soneone got bumped out of FC for a pilot
One of the best Thanksgiving themed movies there is.
Such a great movie! Looking forward to watching this one!
