Warm and fuzzy tone, chuckle..! You gotta put some hair on it! Lol! Looks and sounds great!
You make life look so sweet and fun... Thank you for being so Real!
Thank you!
I may try a hairy goat head. I love that you did that tune. It's a tune I used to sing for me, and the other, the first one I learned to play on guitar, and the only one I learned from my father, the third, the first banjo tune I learned, and the last, well, wagon wheel is just cool.
Thanks! Have fun. If you try the hair, just make sure when you position it on your banjo you are going with the grain so to speak, or else when you come down with your hand you will be going against the hair.
@@BanjoLemonade thank you, I remember trying to ride horses in shorts when I was a girl. Don't ride horses in shorts, you'll get a rash.
@@jojoberrypie6580 hahaha!! Thanks for the tip.
That looks pretty cool Mandy keep it up 🙂 banjo sounds great with the new skin awesome Cluck Old Hen sounds great on that fantastic video
Thank you Tyler!
@@BanjoLemonade your very welcome my friend 🙂
Really good looking skin there Mandy, the sound is easy on the ears too. ....just to let you know,
RUclips has stopped sending me notifications of new videos even though I have the bell set to 'all' for your channel.
Hey Bill, thanks I do like it. I’ve put some nylguts on there and letting them stretch (can’t wait to give em a go). Yeah youtube is weird. I was tired of facebook so I’m no longer on there either. Great to hear from you. Take care, you and Bev!
Very warm and plunky. would be good for recording , looks awesome too.
Yes I think so too with the recording. Thanks!
Thanks for the video! I'm in the process of ordering one from John. What was that first song again?
Wildflowers Don’t Care Where They Grow
Thanks Mandy for this great review, the sound is very good! Could you please let me know the name of the first song you played at 2:44? Have it on the tip of my tongue but can't remember the name haha
Hey, it’s my arrangement of Wildflowers Don’t Care Where They Grow by Dolly Parton.
Which one out of all of them did you like the best? What kind of bridge do you like on your Reiter? I have a standard too so it’s helpful to hear these on the same banjo as I have!
I’m a fiberskyn for the most part person, since I play outside a lot. But if I never had to take it anywhere to go play, I’d say the regular goatskin (not fuzzy) is my fav. I sold the Reiter. The custom Stone I have now is awesome and it has a bit wider nut width (which I love). It’s 1.35” width instead of 1.25”. Makes a difference to me.
@@BanjoLemonade thank you!!
Hi, I am looking to change my banjo head also, what advices could you provide when mounting this kind of skin ? You talked about waiting days to adjust the tension, how did you proceed ?
Thanks and take care.
Here’s a video I did on it. Should answer your questions. ruclips.net/video/LB8V6EHf2z4/видео.html
@@BanjoLemonade thank you. That's my first real modification on my banjo, so I am looking to all ticks I can learn. Cheers
During the first week or so, you can keep adjusting the tension to taste. Whatever you do the head will keep losing tension during a week or two.
After that initial period, if your head loses tension again it’s because of weather change (humidity)
In that case I would not retighten with the key as if the weather goes dry again your head might break.
I would use a heat source (lamp, heater..) instead.
She can play anything with or without hair on it!
Haha 😂
Why arent all skin heads furry ?????
