That and randomly changing the subject (within a billionth of a second) and ignore the subject at hand, no matter how important it may be. My wife has a chronic problem with that.
My bf does this. I try to also frame it as a respect vs respect thing, too. But he denies that it’s disrespectful and continues. Reading the few comments here, like yours, just makes me cry more. Good luck in improving the communication ❤

@@KellyDuPeemarriagecoach Unfortunately, danuwintersong22 this is my life. This is a very common thing with my spouse. We have had many many conversations about him interrupting all the time and answering for me. I have taken steps to sit away from him when in a group because I can't sit near him while he interrupts me or others. He will interrupt when I am sitting away from him, too and at that time with frustration I have put my hand up and said" I am talking or let me finish." His answer is "Oh I thought you were done because there was a pause." The only reason there was a pause was to take a breath. lololol I get the stick thing, but when we're in a group setting what then? I should have said this before up front. He does have a hearing problem and it has only gotten worse.
I feel a lot of methods don’t work. I’m feeling victim blamed as I try to find solutions and implement them because nothing has worked. I agree with this sentiment in your comment. The concept doesn’t even get entertained, at all.
