one of my favourite videos of all time. really helps me choosing my next lake tournament rig. would be nice to have an updated Excel sheet with RVR, Shoalie, LT2, Crew. Great work!
@@TheLittleStuff thank you! I wish a company would design a 14’, 34”, 95lbs kayak specifically made for speed and range. any rumours of one in the making? ;)
Great video, super interested in getting a motor soon. I have the outback 19 since this didn’t perform as well with this motor...should I go with a Hobie evolve motor for better distribution? Looking for the best performance for the outback.
Thanks for this data! I'm looking to motorize my 2016 Native Slayer Propel 13 - probably close to 13.5 ft by 33" wide. I'm thinking it should perform similar to the Old Town 13. The Torqeedo 1103 is interesting, but I have to admit that the price of the Newport Vessels motors gives me cheaper options with more standard batteries! I'm definitely interested in a comparison of Torqeedo vs Newport's offerings. I do find that wattage might be the most absolute comparable stat!
I suggest that you find someone who has used and owned both the Torqeedo Ultralight and Newport Vessels motors. Preferably someone who is NOT sponsored by either company.
It’s tough to really compare apples and oranges, but here’s my case for the Torqeedo Ultralight: range knowledge, a waterproof battery that is only 13.2 lbs and the kind of 105 lb thrust torque that can get the boat in this video up to 7.4 mph. ruclips.net/video/0ZmpDnFt114/видео.html
Wanted to get this for my 10.5 Native Titan. Do I need to install a foot steering? If not, can the motor adjust to a fix position so I could turn with my rudder?
I haven't had the opportunity to rig one of those. If you live anywhere near Maryland, and you have one, I would love to rig mine on yours and test it.
Jeff, have you rigged up the 403 or 1103 on the new old town autopilot? The kayak has the four bolt pattern on the stern but it’s off to the side. Would the side placement work with a torqeedo?
I think that the four bolt pattern is too far forward for it to work “as is”, but Tray with Innovative Sportsman took measurements for an adapter plate to make it work.

Great work!
RVR 6.4
Shoalie 6.2
Crew 6.8
LT 2 ??? I think 6.6, but not 100% sure.

This is phenomenal work. Surprised that you do not have more likes. Liked for sure.
Thanks. Numbers speak to me, so I thought that I would share that info.
Thanks for making this video! It’s great to see it all in one spot

Awesome video and data info Jeff. Is there any info on the 1103 on the BlueSky 360 angler coming ?
Tray and I did a test with the Travel 1003 a few years back. There should be a video on that with speed and range.
@@TheLittleStuff Thanks bud I found it

Hey Jeff, any installs on hobie revolutions or adverse islands? I looked thru the playlist and didn’t see any. Thanks for the info!

Do you have a video showing the Ultralight 403ac?
Lots of them. Go through the Torqeedo playlist on this channel.
