@@rickysld, if a Glasgow video will emerge, I hope that it has the C5 at the Rock Section. 🙏
Hammy is a tad flat, I’m curious to see QPL’s “autotune maniac” skills in action once again if they’ll ever decide to officially release the show. I’m really curious to see how badly they’ll butcher it. Anyways, yeah, with pitch correction it’ll count as a “video recorded studio phrasing”. However, I don’t think Edinburgh counts, still amazing though.
They used that sound bite on the film. Funny thing is when i went to see it in the theaters and heard that part, i sort of stopped and quickly went thru my Rolodex of live performances and immediately said “that’s earls court”.
Also, happy birthday to this channel, it’s recently passed 1 year since my first upload! 2020’s quarantine has actually brought something good into my life
Just a minor nit pick, but I would have used the WWRY 2001 DVD footage for Bohrap instead of the Rock Montreal stuff. They had terrible colorists for RM
Nie ma słów aby wyrazić jaki to jest piękny utwór. Wyłącznie w tym wykonaniu. Powinno się zakazać wykonywania Queen przez osoby trzecie. Tylko Freddie.
I don't know how many times I've heard this fantastic song in my life, but every time I listen to it with such admiration! Thank you Freddie and Queen for this Masterpiece! Thank you for the amazing video!
1:27 made me smile for some reason. I freaking love what you did at 3:55 (unless that was in Rock Montreal, but still is cool) 4:15 love how you used both Wembley shows. Screw it, I just love everything you did in this video. It's both visually and audibly appealing.
Thank you! For the operatic section I mixed the official video with rock Montreal, I just thought it looked nice. At 3:55 I switched to this version of the video ruclips.net/video/wBqMbefDgys/видео.html which automatically zooms in at the end.
I wished you used the following South American concerts: 1:11 São Paulo 1981 (hits B♭4 on "It all", and OvErSuNg) 4:15 Buenos Aires 1981 (great crowd view during "Oh")
To be fair, 1st São Paulo is extremely oversung lmao. Not a fan of that 1st verse. I used Live Aid because other than being extremely iconic, it’s probably the best version of the studio phrasing ever captured on video. About Buenos Aires, I didn’t really think about 4:15, I wanted something very powerful and with great quality to emphasize the moment since it’s the most energetic part of the song, so I thought to use both Wembleys because you know what’s more powerful than one Freddie? Two Freddies!
Unfortunately South American gigs don’t have really good audio/video quality so they’re not very handy for these types of videos. In order to make it into a “through the years” video, a performance has to be either: - Extremely iconic (ex Live Aid, Wembley) - With great audio/video quality to make the viewer’s experience more pleasant. (Ex. Montreal, Budapest) - Extremely good on the performance’s side (ex. Newcastle). Since I wanted to include everything, I used Monterrey for a small part, where I liked how Freddie sang (didn’t mean to make you cry)
