Still have it framed in my home. Im 75 yrs old and have stage 4 cancer. Anytime of the day I’ll be signing off but thats okay. Im ready. One day we will all depart on a journey free of cost. Young Freddie sounds like a man I know, you know, a friend, a nice guy, a great singer of High School. He's not that powerful, but he really knows how to sing. You would like to make a little band with him.
"Old" Freddie sounds like Freddie. A man who can hold the stage with one hand, a man who knows his job, and he's great in it. He cannot be a friend of you, but he could teach, he's a master in what he does.

I love both and very few people could reach this level, even if I prefer older Freddie. You see the difference at 0:20 , or at 1:20 : older Freddie exploit more his voice in older stages. And this mustache, please! But the difference is smaller at 3:15. It's feeling, I think!

No? Bohemian Rhapsody was the first song he performed that day so it's not as noticable, but if you pay attention to the concert, you can tell that Roger filled in for him on a few key points and that by the end, his voice was getting quite raw. He was sick? I'm not bashing his performance, he obviously did an amazing job as always, it's just not the only thing I would judge his vocal performance on.

If you want an objective comparison: it was very interesting because my assumption would have been that there was a big change in the 80s but it was closer than you would expect ie the perception of difference is largely due to other factors like how Freddie looks. However, I would say that Freddie sustained his notes for longer in the 70s on the ballad/operatic parts. Conversely he gained a little something in his voice on the rockier parts by the 80s.

Older Freddie is owning young Freddie. I guess his full power came with the shorter hair, the bible lied to me...

No actually younger Freddie had a great voice it was the smoking Freddie did and he was insecure in the 70s if it werent for that and his smoking 80s Freddie would be the same

His voice was more powerful in the 80s. More melodious in the 70s. I think his vocal prime was in 1990 ( even though his voice was pretty thin ).
