In this video, I'm ranking all the live versions of the really hard high note in who wants to live forever, from worst to best.
Also, to motivate my choices, I also added a little description on the left so that you have something to read while listening.
If you don't want to read, I also added pictures on the right and (when available) a video.

the whole show is my favorite from all the official releases
This song is incredible. I was at the last Queen concert of the Magic tour at Knebworth Park and my dad said to me "I want you to play this at my funeral, not the official version but the live version from Hungary.' which I did.
However I didn't know until recently that every version on RUclips is oveedubbed
Budapest WWTLF wasnt overdubbed.
Wembley July 11 wasnt...
@@dylanrinker6831 the only thing there overdubbed was brian’s guitar going out of tune a bit. Other than that, it was left alone
I imagine the people at the foot of the stage hearing his crazy vocal range a powerful yet harmonious sound

The Budapest's "When love must die" is actually an overdub taken from Newcastle 1986
I know this because I listened to both shows AND the pre-overdubbed version of Budapest,which I found on Gregsynthbootlegs's channel
Sounds similar but "die" at the end is different so i think that your statement is not really true.

In my opinion WWTLF is one of the song that Adam do well and the fact that there are a lot of high notes make this one suitable to Adam’s voice.

Non avevo dubbi sul primo posto, a Frejus c'era qualcosa di speciale nella voce di Freddie (addirittura riesce a prendere il Bb4 Carry on e il B4 feet in AOBTD). Ed è stato solo 4 giorni dopo Budapest, che peccato non abbia avuto la stessa magia nel concerto ungherese.

Really good. Idk why but i love first wembley, mannheim and frejus as my fav versions overall
1st Wembley is the best for the "touch my world..." part.
At the same time Frejus is the best for the part I'm showing in the video and Mannheim has the best falsettos in the outro (plus I really like how he uses the mixed voice for the A4 - Bb4 before the guitar solo)
Overall the best version is 1st Vienna and Stockholm the worst in my opinion.

A lot of great versions: with another one who bites the dust and Radio Gaga are from the tour, not from song

@@markdaleabique778 it means after the concert the band went back into the studio to correct certain lines for ex. If Freddie has a bad voice crack Freddie will go into a studio and re sing that line that he messed up and use it instead of the live version

I don't understand why Freddie had a hard time with the sustained A4s in 1986. Perhaps due to his illness? Either he was physically not 100% or he was holding back because in the back of his mind, he knew his HIV condition might worsen? Either way, I think in the early 1980s, or when Freddie was his normal self, this version tuned down 2 semi-tones would've been pretty easy for him. In the early 1980s, he had no problem with A4s the way he's having in this video.
I also don't understand why the difficulty with the grades. maybe it's hard to make the notes with the singing style he adopted in 1986. Or he was just saving himself or avoiding cracks. since in the last show (knebworthpark) he sings much better than Wembley 2nd night. it's hard to know with 100% certainty what was on Freddie's head or what was going on with him.
From 84 onwards, his voice wasn’t the same. He had great moments (namely Live Aid) but I think he just wrecked his voice somehow.
These A4s are overbuds (sound mixes) to come out clean

That is why he preferred to use playback in his tour with Monsterrat Cabalé instead to sing live. He knew that doesn't hit the high notes.
He used overdubs Not playback, man, the guy was dying of HIV back then.

No. Freddie’s vibrato on the verses is unmatched. Everyone knows Adam is better at high notes then Freddie. Still not a better singer in any other way.
