  • @ArchangelMLM
    @ArchangelMLM 3 месяца назад +30

There are several reasons why the Nissan Frontier is outselling the Toyota’s.
Toyota decided to retired the naturally aspirated V8’s for a twin turbo V6 & retire their naturally aspirated V6’s for a turbo 4 cylinder, this is NOT what most customers want, Toyota took a sharp left turn on their newer Tacoma’s & Tundra’s and decided that was their rabbit hole of choice, probably because of the ever changing emission laws in the United States.
    Nissan Frontier Pro-4X
    1. Dana/spicer rear end
    2. Dana/spicer transfer case
    3. Dana/spicer one peice aluminum drive shaft
    4. ZF 9G-Tronic buttery smooth transmission, the trucks ZF 9 speed transmission is made by JATCO using a Mercedes-Benz 9G-Tronic as the design basis. What the internet doesn't clearly tell us is how much JATCO modified the 9G-Tronic design
    5. big naturally aspirated V6
    6. class leading HP & Torque
    7. 60:1 crawl ratio to Tacoma’s 33:1 crawl ratio
    8. hydraulic power steering
    9. zero gravity seats
    10. MADE IN AMERICA
    11. last but not least PRICE, Nissan is beating Toyota by leaps and bounds and that is a welcome change.
Toyota should have taken to heart the old customer service adage that “If you don’t give your customers what they want, then they will just go elsewhere to get it”.

I agree. I bought a 23 at the beginning of the year. CPO Nissan Frontier SV 4X4 Crew Cab. Great Features. Also it has Tan interior, Which is nicer than all black. It only had 5k mi on it. It was only $31k. The Nissan CPO Warranty is great. Plus the truck just rides better, and the seating position is better than a Tacoma. It performs great off-road. Solid truck. The interior is simple and controls are pretty intuitive. The infotainment system has zero lag and works better than ford sync. I also had a 2019 Ranger FX4 previous to my Bronco. I traded in my 2021 Full size Bronco because I needed the utility of a truck bed again. Couldn't be happier. Plus the Natty V6 was a selling point. I plan on running this truck for a very long time. I leased a 3rd gen tacoma and then got a rav4 hybrid in 2020. I loved the tacoma. The engine was bulletproof but the transmission was just blah.. tons of gear hunting on the highway and it was an sr5 with xp package. I loved my rav4 hybrid..no issues.. had it for 4 years. I wanted to get back into a mid-sized truck. The tacoma is way overpriced with the options I would want. You literally have to spend over $50k if you want leather. They're packages are wack. After hearing issues with the turbo tundra and new issues popping up on the tacoma i didn't even bother test driving one. I test drove the canyon which is a beautiful truck but i researched tons of issues with them even still with the 24s and that is also a turbo 4.I then test drove the 24 frontier pro-x and came home with that. I was able to get a great deal and it's loaded. The zero gravity seats are the most comfortable seats I've sat in any vehicle. The upgraded fender Audio with subwoofers sound fantastic. Yes it doesn't have a fancy all digital display but everything there with buttons is intuitive and just works. The engine felt fantastic...good torque off the line and buttery smooth transmission. Oh the cabin is super quiet also quieter than both my toyotas.I don't trust Nissan cvts but the frontier 3.8l NA v6 is a great engine that's proven and it has a 9 speed Mercedes transmission. I've had a pre cvt altima and a nissan z in the past and had no issues with them.

I still feel I got away with robbery every time I drive my '22 Frontier SV. Bought it used with 25k miles for $28k. Extremely clean. I don't know what packages it has, but it's pretty loaded for me. Sensors all around, heated seats and wheel, side steps, 120v outlet inside and in bed, locking tailgate, tie down tracks with cleats, ect. And it has a nice hard foldable bed cover (don't know if it's oem). Compare what's on this truck with a V6 vs something like a used Maverick for $30k. You could get another brand Midsize for about 28k, but it's going to be barebones.
Oh and ride quality is great. Super quiet and smooth. No rattles either. Plenty of power.

I commented on this before on a prior video of yours, but adding to the comment. I purchased a 2024 Nissan Pro4X in the color of Cardinal Red this past January. I absoulutely love this truck. I was a die hard Ford man but due to problems on my 2018 F-150, it turned me away from another ford. I was torn between the 2024 Nissan Frontier and the Toyota Tacoma. In comparison to the Tacoma, the Frontier's side steps look stronger, the exhaust tip's placement is better, and you get a real/ full size spare tire. I wasn't sure if i would like the handling of the hydraulic steering, but it is fantastic. The Frontier's rear seat flips up and locks mechanicaly in place, no stupid strap and snap like the Taco. I also like keeping my engine clean, good luck with that under the Taco hood mess, take a look at both engines and you will understand. If your not drag racing your buddy, this truck has plenty of power. The look, feel and ride is fantastic, Nissan nailed it!

Look at the Ford F150. A turbo charged 2.7 V6 - standard. That's like injecting adrenaline into a 140 Pound man and putting him up to a Heavyweight boxing match.

I like my month old 2024 Pro-4X with just over 3000 miles. So far, the auto tailgate lock is intermittent and had an intermittent back seat seatbelt warning issue.
The biggest surprise was this weekend on a long road trip, I had what seemed like a small pebble smack the windshield and it made a very small dot about a 32nd" wide. in an hour it was about 3 32nds inch long as we reached the hotel. Next morning it was about 3/4" long. Stayed that way all day until our destination where I planned to get it fixed the next morning. Next morning, it was about three feet long across the windshield and had about three different radials going out from the center. The moral of the story is, I still like my new truck but at a thousand dollars a windshield, I may learn to drive it cracked.

If I found myself in the market for a mid-size truck to replace my current '05 Chevy Colorado LS, 4X4, five-cylinder engine I would be looking at a 2013-2019 Frontier. Making a long story as short as possible I've owned several Nissan trucks over the years and drove the wheels off of them all, except for one....A 2013 SV that The Lovely Bride and I purchased in late 2012. It was a great truck, and we would still have it today, but we saw an opportunity on the horizon to move back to our beloved home state of South Carolina from the Peoples Republic of Maryland and we knew early on we would need some serous cargo and towing capability. Sadly, simple math convinced us that the Frontier would not react well to such demands, and we traded it for a 2014 RAM 1500 4X4 quad cab with the 5.7L Hemi. The RAM never noticed it was pulling and hauling a major load down I-95 at an average speed of 75 MPH and gave us right at 22mpg in the process. We still own that RAM and utilize it as our daily driver, but I do miss that 2013 Frontier with its excellent 4X4 system and strong naturally aspirated V-6.

The bed had lots of scratches, but I got a Rhino sprayed in bed liner. Other issue was scrap/minor dent on rear wheel well, body shop took care of that. Nope. But the gladiator and the zr2 are the only 2 midsize trucks that would work for my lifestyle. I need ground clearance and front lockers. I would not even trust a raptor ranger when I go as I bet all the wire connection, active suspension and all the tech would get ruined in the constant mud. So for me my tools are limited to the zr2 and gladiator. I also don't keep a truck longer than 2 years. So the long term reliability of the frontier doesn't mean anything to me personally.

I've owned 1 newer diesel. A 2019 ram Cummins. Was a phenomenal truck. One of the best trucks I ever owned and gobs of torque. However I won't own another diesel. When I owned it I was big into the forums and learned alot. The repairs costs on diesel are astronomical. Dealing with Def sucks. I mean it really sucks. Having to change duel filters evey 15k miles sucks, having to change the other engine filter (can't remeber the name) every 50k miles sucks. Waiting for warm up in the winter sucks. With the reliability today of the big gassers like the 7.3 I would go that route. But keep in mind this is just my 2 cents and not worth anything more. But I won't buy another diesel.
