I remember one year the scallops were in Pine Island. We were in really shallow water and could see the blue eyes!

I'll return the tip sharing favor. Swim fins will make mobility in the water much easier, especially when the water is a little deeper. The limit mentioned is the same for as long as I can remember. In the shell 2 gallons per person, 10 gallon max per boat. Also it does not hurt to keep all size scallops. The harvest you see this year will not make it until next season, I have on many occasions seen a larger muscle come from the small shells. I keep them all, but everyone has their own method. Great underwater video. Looks like you had fun and that's what counts the most. Thanks for sharing.

      Thanks for the info!
I definitely agree with you on the fins, I've recently tried them and will be using them from now on.
      Thanks for watching!

good info - and if you clean 'em on your boat before you get to the dock, 1 pint of bay scallop meat per person with a max of 4 pints/boat. Not sure why it's 5x for in shell and only 4x cleaned. The FWC site gives official details!!

    You need fins

I do agree that fins are great to have however, I do not want to recommend them to anyone that is a true beginner. I've seen several inexperienced divers almost drown not knowing how to use them.
Fins can be helpful but they are not necessary and if anyone is a beginner I highly recommend trying them in water shallow enough that you can stand in comfortably.
      Thanks for watching!
