Luke never ceases to amaze me how cute he can be. Especially when he’s waiting for Gabe on the back of the boat! Best family ever! I’ve always wanted to try fresh scallops but always thought they were super rare hence why they’re so expensive!

Around the year ‘79 in the Big Bend region of Florida the scallops decided we are going to come ashore for folks and show out. There were literally all the scallops you could possibly want right up on the beaches around Dark Island. Everyday it was as if nobody had picked up any that season because they just kept coming. Our grandparents had a beachfront property way back then. We shucked so many scallops that year. I was a junior in high school. We ate scallops all winter. It was so unreal.

@@BluegabeArrington Hey brother love your Channel, I am hooked for life!! Me being Native to Miami Florida, I know how exciting it can be to get in that ocean!! One thing I want to point out only because I care about you and your family, and that is, your mixing and making fish and you reach over and grab those seasoning shakers without cleaning your hands, then you just set them right back down!! That can get your entire family sick with salmonella or other sicknesses!! You really need to wipe all of those down!! I just don't want you or your babies to get sick!! You have an amazing family that I am so jealous of btw!! I've watched several videos where you pick up fish and then turn right around while your hands still have fish slime and stuff on them, that's cross contamination ya know!!! I just don't want you to get sick!! I done this mistake and it almost killed me and my wife, that's what it felt like anyways 😂!! So that's the only reason I'm saying anything, I don't want you thinking I'm just one of these trolls out here trying to get you upset for no reason!! Other then that, THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR VIDEOS AND THE AMAZING CONTENT!! One day when I can I'm moving back to my home state of Miami!!!
Well damn! We were there too! In fact, we rented a boat at the river club since our boat broke down and had to be towed back. My husband thought he passed you guys. But not until this video did it confirm that he was correct once again. Lol. Hope you had fun! Was such a great get-away we do every year!!! Did not want to leave this time!

I used to hunt bay scallops in Port St Joe, FL, before all the re-routes od 98 happened and well before Hurrican Micheal!! It was awesome!

Love the wild life shots. Spider crab, whelk eggs, clover jelly (itchy!!!) We used to get them on the Bradenton end of Tampa Bay but we could walk the flats at high tide. Some fun and good eating. You know that bay scallope are portected from harvest in most traditional beds these days and very limited season.
Luc says the scallops are spicy, Luke says they're chewy, and those are some bomb looking bay scallops!!! Put them on medium high heat with oilve or a light oil, get them on one side for two minturs, then the other for two minutes, try ou ne of them. For the scallops, chicken, and beer!!! Hey Gabe, visit your local fish store and ask them about the triton system. It’s what I used on my tank, it’s a very minimal maintenance system.

My family an i go to Crystal River every yr for July 4th from the 3rd to the 10th an we love scalloping we have all of our waypoints for the best scallop holes, we usually get our 5 gallon bucket Quotas for each person every time we go out, We normally come home with roughly about 15 five gallon bags full of cleaned and shelled scallops(invest in one of the vaccume sealers the battery ones there life savers an make storage easy af also get a good metal spoon an flatten the front to be able to open the lil booger pain in the ass scallops .. we usually grill up about 6 or 7 dozen on the half shell every night and pair It w w.e fresh fish we caught that day if we've been blessed to get anythang that day lol, but a great grilling easy scallops recipe on the half shell is- is lots of butter,garlic, keylime sauce an Everglades Heat, just put it all on the scallop while its half shell on the grill an cooking
