Best positive video about Harlow I have seen for a long time. Born and raised here, love the place. People here dont know how lucky they are Well done, great video
We moved to Harlow in 1955 because of the overspill of London. The town centre wasn’t here then, we shopped at the stow, I remember when the town park was being built. A lot has changed in Harlow now. No where as nice as it was in the early days. Great video you’ve certainly shown Harlow in a good light.
thanks for this , a resident of Harlow all my 62 years , the older I get the more I aprreciate the green areas. They closed "The Square" which was a great little music venue

Really great video and shows that Harlow isn't the dump that it gets labelled (far too much). The young girl is my daughter's friend - she's a character! My daughter was up the town as well but didn't want to be filmed (I had a go at her for that 😂 ) I think the cafe is going to be getting a few new customers since this video as well. Really good watch and like someone said above - you need to come back and visit our town park, it's really beautiful - you can grab a pint at the Greyhound. Well done on this 😁
Cheers Kim, yeah lots saying about the park. I plug the park and pets corner in the video when I’m at the mill but ran out of time to visit. Yeah she was a right character haha! Thanks for the watch and look out for new content next week 🤟🏼
@K Rob spot on. Every place has good and bad areas and Harlow has a very negative rep, and whilst there are problems there are also great places to visit there and some crackin characters! Thanks for the watch Rob 🤟🏼

Great video and presentation style. There's even more interested stuff about Harlow if you start digging. Literally at times, place has loads of sneeky bunkers littered around the place. For example gilbys had a bunker which you can still visit ( unofficially mind 😂) if you have some rope to climb down. Surprised you didn't mention the station it's self as you were next to it, it's also a listed building despite how horrid it looks. 😂 Also first ever high rise flats are in Harlow, also listed building :)
@@ADayintheUK If you Google "My Nan's Air Raid Shelter - Harlow" you should be able to find a blog by a chap called Nelly. Other interested little places are the northweald redoubt, and there's some bunkers just outside of Harlow in one of the farms, was a radio centre. Unfortunately some oiks have burnt the cots and radio equipment though. Obviously bad news is its lots of these places are privately owned so not suitable for a RUclips channel where you show your face 😂
Harlow is great but like the kids said, it needs regenerating. Apparently the gov has a few million to inject into the town so im looking forward to when they regenerate it. They got rid of the iconic venue the square, which bought in talent from outside as far as LA. People like Blur, Eddie Izzard and cold play played on that stage. We used to have a buzzing nightlife here but there is nothing anymore. I hope they bring back a music venue like the square and night clubs here. Thanks for visiting our town. Xx
Cheers for the watch Clare. Yeah I heard about the Square, I reckon that's the reason people are travelling to London for nightlife...real shame, but yeah it appears the council are injecting some money into Harlow. You all deserve it!
I'm born 1985 and bred in harlow, still live here but never been to old bit. I work in the new town harvey centre. I never even knew there was a gallery in the civic centre, i never been to musuem. I expected to see myself walking past all miserable as i do lol
Born and raised in Harlow, moved out about 7 years ago. Looks largely the same as always. I think crime has become a major issue for the town in the last few years with the influx of different demographics from London and the associated crime it brings. If they had a serious police force who stamped out crime then it’s a mostly pleasant place to live, with decent amenities and transport links imho.

I’m thinking of moving out of London to go to Harlow , this was useful. London is over priced and over crowded ugh (I’m from Essex originally)
Also first ever high rise flats are in Harlow, also listed building :)
Thanks for the watch, and glad you enjoyed it! That bunker sounds right up my street!

If you Google "My Nan's Air Raid Shelter - Harlow" you should be able to find a blog by a chap called Nelly.
Go visit them all! Start with the gallery and pick up a sculpture leaflet. You can use it to find the sculptors around Harlow. Enjoy! 🤟🏼
It really hasn’t changed
YOU ARE RACIST BIGOT. YOU WANT TO P WORD SAY WITH UR CHEST. THE CRIMES ARE COMMITTED BY HARLOW BORN MUPPETS. RACIST RACIST. I SPIT ON U. KANJAR
