Can I leave the lime juice out?

No, you cannot alter the recipe if you plan to can and save it on the shelf. You can omit the lime juice if you plan to just keep it in the fridge!

Made this today and all I could taste was lime juice. I’m hoping in a couple of weeks that tart flavor would have disappeared because I started to throw it all away. Disgusting flavor and I was really hoping this was an authentic chili verde.

Tomatillos are a tart fruit. Perhaps you were looking for a recipe using green chilis. Try searching for green chili verde and you might find something more to your taste.
This is an amazing recipe, I’ve used this several times!

Video is great but may I warn you that cooking with the foil releases toxic aluminum in your food. You seem to like natural stuff like me, I just want to share what we learned!
