- I am trying something a little different with today's video, and I hope that you like it! I am still trying to find my groove on RUclips. What I really want more than anything is to create a cozy and welcoming space for you to enjoy while you snuggle under your favorite blanket with a warm cup of tea or coffee, feeling as if you are here in my little old world kitchen baking right alongside me. But I also want you to feel served and loved!
I am making you a comforting breakfast inspired by the Little Women story by Louisa May Alcott. In this episode, we will make delicious 19th century breakfast sausage, eggs fried in cream, fluffy baking soda biscuits, and my own little twist... Cinnamon Palmiers! Come escape with me into the 19th century for a bit and decorate for Christmas, enjoy a cup of hot coffee, and delight in a holiday breakfast.

hi kayla, It is not an illness but symptom.Something you can do to change, please remember that. Trauma just exasperates symptoms or creates them. Start to make changes and improvements to your physical body..nutrition, movement, walk stretch breathing, sleep. A little goes a long way, so any small steps can help your body recover. Reading even short time will help too. doing a useful purposeful activity, working with hands is extremely healing
Simply good for mental health. I am 49 and only now reading this book. I also suffered from trauma and depression and its a huge breakthrough to see how Im improved .it took time and keep starting over and over again daily til you start to feel relief in your days. Thank you for sharing. it is lovely to read you are finding the positive healing from this slow home making video. We celebrate Womens Little Christmas in Ireland on the 6th of January. Women get together to celebrate the day and it also maks the end of our Christmas festivities. I thought your vlog was based on this initially! Its mainly celebrated in County Kerry Ireland now.

Oh my, my mouth is watering! I live alone , so will never go through all this trouble for myself. But , sure would love someine to make it for me! Yuummmmmmmmmmm And at 73, I still watch the 1994 version of Little Women every year at Christmas.

I found a really cute illustrated copy of Little Women at a thrift store for $5. As much as I wanted to keep it, I gifted it to one of my sisters.
My first video and it was so cozy. I'm a fan of Little Women movies - especially the 1994 version you showed. I'd love to make your biscuits since they came out so high and fluffy looking. I'll continue watching your videos and, after a couple more, I'm sure I'll subscribe.

I normally don't comment, but I really enjoyed this video. Such a cool vibe the entire time. Everything was laid out crystal clear and executed very well. I'm a baker, and have been working in kitchens...longer than I'd like to admit to. I only bring that up because I could quickly see that you have really good technique. I think it is so odd that someone watching an 1860's themed video uses modern slang terms such as "vibe", "cool" and "you rock". Very odd indeed.

Hi. I just found your channel today. Louisa May Alcott has been one of my favorite authors ever since I was a little girl. I collect her books. My maternal Grandmother gave me three books of LMA's that she was given as a child. The covers look identical to your copy of 'Jack and Jill'. My copy of 'Old Fashioned Girl' has the earliest and only copyright as 1876. My copy of 'Rose in Bloom' has several copyrights with the latest being "1919". My copy of 'Under the Lilacs' also has more than one copyright in it with the latest being '1923'.
Oh that is fascinating! I am guessing mine is from sometime in the early 20th century.
My mother gave me a hardcover copy of “Under The Lilacs” that we found for 25 cents in a second hand bookshop in 1964. It had been a favorite of hers growing up. I still have that volume. I also have a hardcover copy of “Little Women” with a colored illustrated cover, given to me by the Town Librarian in 1964, for participating in the Summer Reading Program. These two volumes are among the most prized in my book collection. Side note: Though I live in a neighboring State, I am within driving distance of the LMA homestead and museum. Just found your channel today… your videos are lovely. Lastly, you may be your generation’s answer to Tasha Tudor - another iconoclastic author… look her up if you are not familiar - you have much in common. 🧡

Oh my word!!! When you said cookbook and I saw your face I was like I know her… your cookbook literally sits beside me in my homeschool room everyday. I’m ALWAYS making one of your creations. Your cookbook is my favorite cookbook I’ve ever purchased. I never follow a recipe completely but yours I do. They literally need nothing. Your pie crust I struggle with a bit but it’s the best pie crust I’ve ever made. I think the Houston climate messes everything up lol. Anyhow I just wanted to tell you I love your cookbook and your story. It’s similar to mine. Now I’m super excited to follow your channel. Blessings to you and your family and a very Merry Christmas.

I have the exact same Jack and Jill book! It has the title page and it is dated 1922. Mine is part of a set of 8 of Louisa May Alcott’s books for children. I got the set years ago at a book sale and I absolutely treasure it. Let me know if you would like more information about what is on the title page.
