What is even more interesting to me is the confidence of the depth reading on the 15 is more stable. The depth is jumping around more on the older sensor. Is the FOV on the newer sensor wider as well? Appears to be.
Both are similar but I would say the iPhone15 is better but not because of the sensor...it's faster and more robust. It can handle more processing on the device. They both handle small objects the same.

that's quite a useful test, thanks.
So which one is better? Also which one is better with close and small objects

Context please
The LiDAR sensor on the iPhone has changed in the 15 Pro versions. So I am trying to note any differences in range.
