I used to go to Sha Tin a lot as a kid. For some reason, my relatives would always take us there from Cheung Wan, all the way to sha tin to have clay pot chicken rice. 😅 From your footage, Sha Tin has definitely changed a lot from what I remembered.

Nice, love the 747, good old days of flying them. The cabin looks fantastic and the leg room is great. Also the landing was top notch, didn't notice it until the spoilers came out. Well done to the pilot, keep them 747 flying for as long as they can.

It’s seems like you had a nice trip and lucky to have friendly crew on board. Last week when I took this 747 to Incheon, some crew covered their face and showed very angry face. It’s understandable due to Korean privacy concerns. And super smooth landing too, their pilot has good skills!
Asiana is my favourite ever airline. Flown so many Sydney/Seoul/Somewhere in Europe sectors with them over the years. For me it is all about the legroom and the superb service. Just amazing ❤

I admire you for liking cattle class on aeroplanes! I did MEL-BRI and return last week and didn't much care for it. Too many people, too much distance to walk at terminals and, for me, a heck of a journey to get to the aerodrome! Then again I haven't gone up in an aeroplane for over ten years and I noticed how the terminals are now even larger! Hopefully next time I travel, the Gods will be loooking out for me and I shall be escorted everywhere and be able to relax in First Class! Hahahahaha!

You're really lucky to be able to make spontaneous trips to ride special planes like this, I literally have to ask my entire family whether we can plan our family trips around such things. If I fly Lufthansa US-DE, it is typically on the 744 or 748. I'm so lucky. Thankful for every 747 flight until it is eventually retired.

Farewell to another 747... Never got to fly on an Asiana 747 but flew on plenty of Qantas, United, Thai and other 747s. My most flown on airplane is one particular Thai 747-400... Nothing like the feeling of takeoff, turning, turbulence and landing when seated in the very back of a 747...✈️✈️✈️

Impressive video and if you did this 10 years ago you would have seen them fly as either passenger or Combi versions. This is a legend and must be preserved. Maybe you should try 長榮航空 (Eva Air) because your fellow Hong kongers compare that to 國泰航空 (Cathay Pacific)

Dunno why Jayden but this plane evokes an emotional response 🥹
The 747s brought me across the Pacific many many times and to my college years...really and truly the 👑... Asiana in a way I am happy will be taken over by Korean as they can't compete with Korean...but I have flown their a380 from Seoul to NYC ...my first trip to NYC and it was awesome even a cross wind landing ...stay tuned because of all my growing up life the 747s I have flown all models including the SPs but never the dash eight so I am making an epic one soon which I won't tell you didi...it's gonna be epic for a few reasons...hint is part of my 66th b day treat to myself in May ...can't wait to see ya ... ❤

That IFE screen reminds me of going on Malaysia Airlines 747 more than a decade ago....and the IFE having Nintendo games on them (got to play Zelda LTTP, Super Mario World and Pokemon on it, although saves didn't work) - speaking of which, close to the end of this year, they're getting A330neos to replace their aging A330-300s and one of the first routes they'll deploy them on is KL to Melbourne.
Food in the Asiana Business business lounge looks to be truly cafeteria class. So disappointing for Star Gold travelers. I believe the food and drink offerings in the Asiana Club lounge are quite a higher standard.

I really like Seoul airport. Unfortunately when I visited Seoul they were hosting a world scout Jamboree. This somewhat frustrated our visit. By UN declaration. it should be illegal for airlines to retire anymore 747s. The world is becoming a very sad place indeed.

Boeing 747-400 are getting retired to replace for Airbus A350ULR. The pilot's is getting their headsets from the Boeing 747-400 aircraft accepting Airbus A350ULR Aircraft. Needs headphones for all passengers on an Airbus.

I will be flying Asiana in a few week from Hong Kong to Incheon, sadly not on a legendary 747 (A330). I have long wanted to fly onboard Asiana's remaining passenger 747 since everyone is retiring them, but I missed my chance.
Fortunately, Korean Air will probably have the Boeing 747-8i for a while. So will Air China.
