Okay, now this is cool! I freaking LOVE the miniatures! So beautiful, and I love how they're not some random stock photos. They're movable recreations of places important to the case. The sound effects really bring them to life. There's a lady who created a bunch of miniatures to help solve crimes, and now her works are in a museum -- this reminds me of that! You could vamp this up and do a whole series with a name like, "Scenes of the Crime" or "Closer Cases." I'd love to watch her make them as she tells the story!

These kind of killers are one of the worst kind. Not only have they taken so many lives, they will do anything they can to deny what they've done.
Everything must be proven, and they'll not give any confession of the other potential victims not found.
Denying closure to all the families who may be relatives to people missing, who they have killed.
I have no doubt he had more victims than the ones that could be proven, but because his refusal to confess, we will probably never know for sure...
For the ones left behind, closure and knowing what happened and who was involved is an important step to heal. But men like these will deny even that.

I like your idea of making miniatures of historical crime incidents. In 1978 I was in high school and we were over at my girlfriends (future wife) house with her family and several friends of her group of girls. The girls all wanted to watch The Dating Game so my girlfriends brother and I were going outside to do some batting practice. As I was leaving I was kinda watching over my shoulder and thought this show probably puts women in some dangerous situations. They don’t have a clue who these guys are and what they’re capable of. When I said that, one of the girls said “oh no they check everyone’s record and only guys with good credit ratings and zero criminal history get to be on this show”. Now my father and his father were at the time both Philly cops. I knew they weren’t fingerprinting these fellas because it’s some silly television show that just wants good ratings. It wasn’t the episode where Rodney was on but there was one guy who I looked at and felt like there was something wrong with him by how he talked to the girl. Similar kind of slick talking scumbag who just wanted to be in control of her and the other guys. I could tell the host was getting a little annoyed by him in the few minutes that I watched the show. There were a couple show’s that were similar to The Dating Game but nothing as successful and popular. When the news coverage came out after his arrest the press barely covered this story on at least a national level , maybe locally they did more but it wasn’t as well known as you’d think. That young lady was smart enough to see there was something off about him and she was strong enough to say “nope” and I admire her for that.

Wonderful miniature work. Great case study. I feel like an interesting case for you to tackle next in miniature would be the Robert Pickton case (The Pig Farmer Killer).

I really like Carol's work! Her (I apologize if I used the wrong pronouns!) work is very nice to watch, and I'm happy that she records the making of these. It's fascinating to watch, and I often have want to know what materials she used, because some of it looks like foam but I am not sure if it is, and I am surprised at the detail work she does - her miniatures are very much detailed and incredible! And I love that she talks about the subject as she works; I get to learn something fascinating while watching someone research and build a miniature. Thank you, Carol, for these videos!

Not a bad idea to use miniatures to help tell the story. I like it! I’d be interested to see more.

I love the use of miniatures! Kind of reminds me of Frances Glessner Lee's Nutshell Studies of Unexplained Death.

I know this is not a murder but, how about a story of the Dyatlov Pass mystery. So many theories about it so a visual representation of where the camp, the trees/creek and the highland is situated.
