I know Ryan and Shane left some big shoes to step into (or are about to do so, I guess) and expectations for this channel are accordingly high and not easy to live up to, so I just want to say that this was genuinely great. Creative, charming, entertaining and with a lot of style, so much so that you can clearly distinguish from the Ghoul Boys who have covered this case before and very much share these exact qualities. That's the kind of content we wanna see on this channel and it gives me hope that there's a lot more great stuff coming here!
I'm giving thus new show a chance, but I'm not the biggest fan of the character this guy does. I'd prefer if they did the same format as Unsolved but used new hosts.
Totally agree. I’m giving him a fair shot. It’s hard to love anyone more than Ryan & Shane but there’s room to love tons of people for different reasons! Great job on this one❤️
We just have to understand it's a different format but amazing it's own way (in my opinion). S & R can still be found @ #watchers yt channel. So hey let's give them all a little 💕
I am gonna be honest, as much as I miss Shane and Ryan, this guy did a decent job. They replaced the two before and it was horrible, this guy is a good actor, and brings something new to the table, so props to him.
This guy and his style made me decide NOT to unsub from BuzzFeed. (I was only in for Ryan and Shane anyway) Now I have reason to stick around and see more....not to mention some super funny shyt I found while going thru past BuzzFeed vids.
@@seher285 Alternative Reality Game. I wouldn't mind it if they identified it as such, so I could skip it. I'm here for True Crime content, and ARG is not.

"Why was she murdered?" I kinda groan every time someone asks that about a woman, as if it's some big mystery why evil men kill women. I mean, come on.
Oh, my God. I've been told that the Black Dalia Murder was a mystery my whole life, but police actually knew who the killer was the whole time and just didn't officially solve it due to corruption? WTF.
I barely got around to watching this, and I'm sad I waited. This telling of the same story we've all seen many times is really cool and entertaining. I love Stacy running in the background randomly, and..."I don't know who Brian and Shane are."
I'm only 30 seconds in, and there is already so much to love about this video. "broadcasting live" immediately followed by two clips that were clearly filmed in advance at separate times "gothy" *unnecessarily long pause* "something you've probably never heard about before" there's already a video on this channel covering this topic in detail "Who's the Black Dahlia?" "Wow." "YES!"
Agreed! Her reactions are funny! She doesn't have to say anything, just the awkward expression and blank stares are perfect for the storytelling humor!
Daggula San Vicente Jr.'s & Co.'s work is excellent and original. Clever AF, funny, and entertaining, it stands on its own. We too adore the Ghoul Boys and have followed them to their own new company (Watcher). AND we will absolutely follow Hollywood Parallel Universe and San Vicente Jr.! Give us more!
Dude, I freaking love this- I was getting a bit worried as to what I could watch on this channel since Unsolved is pretty much wrapping up, so boy oh boy am I glad I found this gem of a series(that hopefully continues!!) Mr. Vicente Jr. and Stacy, you two are some great hosts/characters as to what I think is the start a great new show for this channel; keep up the great work!
I’ve been watching these new episodes back to back, and honestly I really enjoyed them! It’s cool that instead of trying to just recast ryan and Shane they actually came up with an entirely new show with a different feel and humor to it. The host is hilarious, his deadpan expressions are priceless. The material is good- love the self deprecating humor- and the information well vetted and accurate. I’m not sure what the deal with the girlfriend is… is she a captive, maybe? But her intense wide eyed stare is quite unsettling lol. A fine replacement overall!
This is like Murder Mistery and Makeup Monday, but instead of Bailey, the host is... Don Diego de la Vega?... still, girlfriend spills the hottest tea. I like it.
She was friends of my Aunt. My mother and her sister went to school with Elizabeth. She turned out to be my aunt's friend. They all graduated from Medford high school in Massachusetts. After she graduated then she left for LA.
I like this guy, and the whole presentation of the show gives it an old radio show kinda feel I really like. Makes it feel comfy. Throw in some fun jokes here and there with the people in his life and it makes the show really enjoyable. Hope we get more.
i am absolutely loving the live broadcast angle! its so fun and is such a creative idea to pursue. it feels like purposeful step away from the show the other people (who were they? reggie and shaun?) used to post here, but still gives us the true crime content people expect. it would have been really easy to imitate the format of the older show and the humor style the creators (ringo? shirley??) set in place, but instead they went a cool new direction with a totally different vibe. I love it so much, and am also a fan of this dreamy new narrator 😳... im really excited about what will come!
I LOVE the delivery of this series. I hope it continues, I’d stick around here for this guy after the end of Supernatural! (& that’s about it so far lol)
Props to this format and these actors, and the who are Ryan and shane jokes, I love this series so far. Can't ignore the old series but can't be overshadowed by it forever. Make your own weird vibe! Love it
The narrator has these times when he is serious, professional, a little and evokes the image and attitude of Robert Stack or Rod Sterling and other times where his cheesiness and silliness reminds me somewhat of Al Lewis when he played Grandpa Munster or a little of Elvira too. Contrasting styles that make him really entertaining, at least to me.
Also, when he fled to the Philippines, there was an eerily similar unsolved murder in 1962 in Manila along with some other cases. It is rumored he may have killed there.
The lady playing as his girlfriend looks so confused and afraid.
its acting idiot
@@laliuxmentado Pretty sure she was aware of that and makes me question who the "idiot" truly is.. smh
It's low-key unsettling 😅
I am not a fan of her character.
I found that hilarious, she's so awkward and contrasts really well with her "boyfriend" character

Ryan was smart, methodical and well spoken. Shane was dorky and difficult to relate too. I guess they got tired of making $50K a year
I am gonna be honest, as much as I miss Shane and Ryan, this guy did a decent job. They replaced the two before and it was horrible, this guy is a good actor, and brings something new to the table, so props to him.
Except they literally did this already...
Wait…Shane and Ryan left buzz feed?

Let’s all comment 🤨 when we see him
If anyone can replace Ryan and Shane, it's Gomez Addams
I just love how this dude throws shade at all of the people who constantly complain that videos on this channel don't contain Ryan and Shane lol.
They are really annoying tho, so I don’t blame him. It’s not like Ryan and Shane have disappeared…
Black dahlia is literally on here 3 times as of today
I slapped random people with a dil do video on my channel
I think he was being sarcastic
But has it been, literally?
And in Spiderman Far From Home, an extremely popular movie.
@@brettcooper3893 yeah
Can’t go wrong with another video on the black dahlia murder

The police knew they wouldn’t solve it, so they reported her to be a tramp. That way, people would roll their eyes and stop caring. 🙄
I agree. And victim shaming continues today. At least more and more people aren't falling for that.
They didn’t want to solve it. This is actually a reoccurring theme in LA, so go there and commit crimes if you don’t wish to be caught
I absolutely love this!! I love the fact he keeps saying he doesnt know who Ryan and Shane are 😂 he and the girl are great actors!!
This case was so creepy…and the fact that the drop off was done so well is scary too, especially at that time with less technology as we have now.
They should make awards for outstanding acting in a youtube video. This guy would win all the awards.
