Don't worry man, just continue working on yourself. Also start with choosing what you make your music for: headphones or speakers and start editing using one. I was making my music with headphones and couldn't understand why it sounded like trash on speakers lol
If ya’ll want to print as you record vocals, here’s how: 1.Create Mono Aux track 2.Put the plug-ins you want to print on the aux inserts 3.Set your mic input to the Aux. 4.Create a Bus send from the Aux to your audio recording track. Hope this helps.
i understand that for chorus parts layering vocals can help make it sound fuller and give it the stereo vibes, but for the verses, do you usually just have one vocal track, or do you also layer that as well? Btw thanks for the video dude, it really inspires me a lot!
It’s all taste and what sound you’re looking for as well. Just look at Eminem’s verses in “Love the Way You Lie” with Rihanna. He doubles every word, if not triples them.
I got UAD spark last night. (99 cents for 3 months deal atm) and I was curious on why you didn’t use the EQ on the Neve. Do you prefer not to print any EQ on your vocals while tracking? Even a hi-pass filter?
@@SKYJORDXN Oh fs. Thought it was bypassed. Mad appreciate the replies to my questions bro. I don’t got much experience with printing as I record. But I fw the clean sound the plug ins do to the vocal recordings. Always loved the hardware Neve-1176 combo so this is the closest us broke ppl can get.
I cut all my vocals with a cheap modeling microphone from antelope audio. I record with the 1073 going into the la2a. I wonder what kinda compression would compliment the la-2a style in a series coming after the la-2a?
@lovej.a.e6750 there’s really not a rule for the combo it’s not set in stone or anything but remember you can always experiment with different combinations and see what happens and what you like
Bro anything from antelope isn’t cheap unless you got it used man 😁How long you had it ? I been thinking about getting a used one. It seems pretty amazing that their mics can have autotune and other effects running with low latency. How is the latency over all ?if they made a handheld mic that could load effects that’d be the ultimate touring microphone
that is ill man.. Yo, how you set up that aux to do that? dang what audio interface you use there is no latency.. How you do that or you on a M1 or better, any output gear? Great video bruh..

so this comment is about waves real time, which was a great video you made btw, and i wondering why mine doesnt sound like that, i tried everything and i couldnt get it to work correctly, so i started using ozone 11 and when i had it use A.I to find the perfect settings sound settings for my vocals, the autotune started working! still not as good as yours but i was working good! do you know why this would happen? and when i turn ozone 11 off, i have nothing. trust me, ive checked everything! everything is on point!
in my opinion no, xlr vs usb in general is a big difference especially when it comes to background noise pickup and overall quality. xlr wins that all day. plus xlr lets you have a interface which lets you record with WAY less latency

which interface u have
any alternative for the neve and the 1176??????

quick question can i use NLS Channel instead of the 1073? i mean does it do the same job?
Why use two compressors? Is one upward comp and one downward comp?
the 2 compressors = the cl1b which most ppl don’t have

2A is used to push the vocals forward

A sky how do I get the preset pack to work I only see files that I can't open
You have to load the presets in the plugin where it says import.
You can’t just click on them or load them in the console has to be inside the daw
Is this while recording or after
recording…
but you can do it after but this method is recreating what ppl that go to studios are recording through.
@@SKYJORDXN ight thanks I have same mic for years

Bandlab has their versions of the
1176 = BA1176
LA2A = BA-2A

what did u change when u turned the autotune off to bring clarity i seen u do it with the knob 5:26
u made the vocal sound more on top of the beat it sounded like it was under the beat before the knob tweak

How do you install the presets?
You have to click import on the plugin and import the file one by one ( inside your daw not the ua console )
or drag them to the plugin preset folder.
