    Hi Robert, I see you leaning your wrist on the tablet. I am considering this product in place of my old Wacom Intuos Mac screen tablet which has become too sensitive when touched.
    Also, if I lean on it in any way, it goes crazy (moving the picture across my Mac Screen). I see the price has come down over the years, so now it can be more affordable for artists. Thanks.

    Really good video.Thank you so much for doing this! I’ve had a Cintiq 16 and a Artist 15.6 Pro from XP-Pen. The screen of the Artist 15.6 Pro is smoother than the Cintiq 16 (in the sense that it feels more like glass under the pen). The laminated screen doesn't make a massive difference as the Cintiq 16 has a low enough parallax, but it could be good to have. A simple way to put the difference between Wacom and XP-Pen is mostly just that a Wacom is a more polished product, while a XP-Pen has a better value.

    Hey, great review! Thank you for it. I have the tablet now and I'm wondering if it's worth getting the stand. Do you have flexibility to choose the angle that is most comfortable or there are 2-3 options that you can use? In some places the description says angles from 19 to 68°, whereas in other 19 or 68, so I'm confused which one is correct.

      The Pro line has wide gamut screens, which cover almost all of AdobeRGB, while the non-pro 16 are not wide gamut, and only almost cover sRGB, which is around 72% of AdobeRGB. This means that you can get more vibrant colors on the Pro line, but you need to know some basics of color management as most stuff online is still sRGB, and the colors of images that look good on your Pro screen may look dull when displayed on a sRGB display.

    • @RobertHranitzky
      @RobertHranitzky  5 лет назад +1

      Todd10260 My absolute honest recommendation would be to go with the Cintiq Pro. You might benefit from and appreciate the higher resolution when working with photos. Color gamut is also higher on the pro models.
      So as a pro photographer you’ll need a color calibrated accurate display anyway (so that would make the Cintiq 16 the secondary display).
      That being said, if you’re on a budget and maybe don’t retouch every photo and use the Cintiq all the time, then you absolutely can work nicely with this one!
      Maybe you have a store close by where you could try it out? Hope this helps you in some way.

    The problem is when you say it has 'Full HD' - this is such a vague term unless you specify precisely what resolution it has, and compare with current standards. You mention at the end, that this would not suit you as you're involved in the video industry, but you say it will be fine for illustrators, and people 'starting out' (whatever that means). I can tell you now, as a professional graphic artist, that the screen resolution on this is not sufficient or good....even by 2019 standards. The two things you should always mention first with tablet reviews, are pen sensitivity (which you did) and screen resolution (which you hardly mentioned at all, like it's no real big deal). Screen resolution is absolutely critical if you are working professionally, it is not just a passing comment. Just my 2 cents.

      Thank you for your feedback. At 2:13 I am explaining the physical dimensions as well as the resolution being at Full HD, which by standard is defined at 1920x1080 (and not really vague, sorry). But yes, you are right, I am not speaking out the 1920x1080 pixels - I will watch out for this in future videos.
      Also I know plenty of artists that create absolute professional work with either this Cintiq or older Cintiq models that feature a similar resolution. Not sure why the quality of work shall be tied to the resolution?
      Anyway, thanks again for the feedback! Stay safe & healthy and keep creating!

      @@RobertHranitzky Hi Robert. The low screen resolution is not connected with creating quality work, but everything to do with user experience. There is a large disconnect using a tablet as a drawing device, when the screen you are drawing on is not high def. Industry standard does indeed claim 1920 x 1080 as HD these days - but this resolution does not (in my opinion) translate well as a HD screen for drawing on. Using a mouse and using a pen on screen are very different experiences. 1920x1080 is distracting, personally speaking. Might not bother others, but the 'pro' 4k version is so much better as a drawing experience - again, in my opinion.

      (I don’t own any of the products but I watch a lot of reviews) the only difference i see in wacom and the alternatives is that the wacom pen is better for line works, so if line is very important for the artist this “cheaper” model is better than the alternatives; but if it’s for painting where line doesn’t matter as much then there are better alternatives, even with better color gamut. Also wacom has proven themself that their product last for decade ( build quality, at least for me, should be one of the priorities because if it breaks you have to buy another one and you spend more money). Just my opinion, not attacking yours because I was looking for alternatives before but seems like all have some type of line wobbles (i’m more of line art guy).

      The screen has a laminated surface what are you talking about (it has a textured film on top of the screen like older models before pro and 27" models had)? Pro models are the ones which do not have laminated surfaces because they have edge to edge glass screens (though the screens are also textured)... Please go read specs from Wacoms site before writing nonsense from products you obviously do not know much about.

    • @zycane
      @zycane 5 лет назад +2

      That's sadly the price range where the Alternatives gather around, some a bit cheaper, others a bit more expensive. The 650, is a big leap for Wacom, as it's extremely close to the intous pro tablets now, and quite a bit lower than it's 13" models. The important feat here is that it's the pen pro 2 being used with this, rather than some inferior, lesser version of said Wacom tech, which the bamboo and intous(non pro) versions suffered from.
      The stylus, which have garnered a lot of praise, rightfully so. attached to a cheaper Cintiq model, 15.6" 1080p pen display, is quite a good spot.
      I have ordered one, and I'm sure others who will be ordering one, will too for the fact, it's the stylus of Wacom's highest current tech, being used, with a reasonable display size and quality, for it's price. And I'm more a pro alternative guy, and currently using ipad pro 12.9". But with Apple's choice of increasing prices, with a inferior quality product. Wacom's announcement and release of this, comes at a perfect time, for those of us, realizing Apple's didn't know how to evolve the ipad pro line further.
      Only big question here, will be whether there are issues with screen to tech, if they cut any corners in Q&A ect. Hope not, but time will tell.
