I live in Savannah. I just recently discovered the abandoned remains of the old Powder Magazine building. Me and a friend went at dusk one day last summer to explore it. It is built like a fortress. It is tucked away behind a lumber company in an overgrown wooded area. It is a beautiful historical building. I truly hope that it is preserved. It would be a travesty if it was torn down.
Smoked on top of that airplane 🤣
Friends and I explored the Camilla Lake Mill back in seventies. It had a steel waterwheel that was at lease 20 feet in diameter, there were several mill stones with steel bands that were 4 feet around, and much of the overhead shaft and pullies still existed. The building was partially built with wooden pegs, part square nails and part round nails. We even found a discarded grain bag that identified the mill. Since the bag was paper instead of burlap, the mill probably operated up into the fifties or sixties.
Love your channel! Been binge watching all day...very interesting. Keep up the good work!
You missed THE BEST abandoned place in Georgia- the Central State Hospital in Milledgeville. It was founded as the Georgia State Lunatic, Idiot, and Epileptic Asylum. It used to be the world’s largest mental institution! It is really worth visiting although going in the buildings are prohibited. It will give you the eeriest feeling when you're there especially when you research the history prior to visiting. The buildings are beautiful though.. It is such a large compound- it's like it's own city back in the day. The ground in the pecan orchard is where they buried their patients. actually 25,000 patients were buried in unmarked graves throughout the hospital grounds. 😱😱😱😱
Wow!
Haunted hmm
Could not have uploaded this at a better time! New sub right here
The abandoned plane in Cartersville has been removed. It is no longer there.
Damn I was just about to go see if I could find it
im crying
That's incorrect. It's still there, you've just got to know how to get to it. I've been to it multiple times
@@christopherjenkins8922 no it is not. Just went to where it was last week. It’s gone. Been there many times.
@@carlosvaldes5630 plane is gone :(
Ilive in Atlanta and pass #1 all the time. It was actually used in the filming of Zombieland 2.
I heard that it was last used as condos and the HOA/ management company stole 6+ months of power payments. Because of this, they sued , took the property, and then let it go to shit... probably BS, but it makes for an interesting story about how easily something so big can fail! I still love the building!
amazing! keep it coming!
Great video bud
Beautiful. Historic. Nice job sir.
trespass just means don't get caught exploring!
It annoys me that the Cartersville plane fuselage got covered in graffiti I found it on a plane crash registry years ago and both pilots passed in the crash. The whole thing frustrated me after people started vandalizing it
Was it a crash? It look like a crash in person and seemed completely fine
@@BooPlaysLive no this one was just scrapped, but there was another fuselage from a Falcon 20 that crashed and was relocated, sat forever with a similar fate
@@garretthuman5892 ah ok
As a native of Georgia I am familiar with many of these places and attended the Atlanta Pop Festival in Byron.
A word of advice if you do more of these. SLOW DOWN, you are not in a race. Also, it is evident you are reading the narrative and if you slow your roll and practice your presentation to make it more conversational it will be much better.
Overall a well done video
Lol I live like 5 min from there
You butchered the pronunciation of Zebulon 😂 but I never thought I’d see my little hometown featured in any cool videos.
Do South Carolina
The Alonzo Herndon Stadium if renovated could be used by the Georgia Bulldogs as a new home stadium.
Why would they need a new stadium? Sanford is too historic, and one of the largest stadiums in the county by seating capacity.
@@jackwest6644 what about Georgia Tech?
@@CoasterMan13Official Bobby Dodd is still almost 110 years old
@@jackwest6644 maybe the city could buy it up and let high schools use it for their football team championship tournaments.

Did you really say the “deemeeese” of the property? 😅 it’s pronounced “demize” homie lol. But yeah, do SC please!
Yes, he's got an *odd* speech pattern. Just barely enunciates.
Atlanta Prison Farm is da funk?
Liked the topics, but brother, it’s OHglethorpe and ByRUN
Ahh-glethorpe. :D

*GREAT VIDEO* - - - BUT WE SHOULD ALL STOP AND THINK ABOUT THE BUILDINGS THAT "THE POWERS THAT BE" LET ROT DOWN INTO NOTHINGNESS - WOULDN'T THEY MAKE GREAT HOMES FOR THOUSANDS OF HOMELESS PEOPLE, SURELY THE CHURCHES IN THE AREA COULD HAVE KEPT THEM LIVABLE FOR JUST THAT PURPOSE - WE LIVE IN A SAD, SAD HELL BOUND SOCIETY - JUST THINK!!!!!!!
NONE THE LESS, THIS WAS STILL A MOST INTERESTING VIDEO - *BRAVO!!!!!!!*

YES INDEED, THANKS FOR THE REPLY!!!
They just got rid of the movie theater in morrow
I AM ABOVE ZE LAW!!!
the plane used to be so cool before everone started making videos about them
Y'know, maybe if you did more than a single "abandoned places in Georgia" Google search, you'd learn that most of these don't even exist anymore, and the rest of them are used by hobos, drug addicts and hookers and are not safe places to go exploring. Also, you should really look into how to pronounce words you're unsure of, like demise and Oglethorpe.
bruh stop ruining these locations by telling everyone smh
Trespassing? Did you not hear about the Ahmed Aubrey case? You could get charged for burglary
Dumbest comment of 2021.
@@joshuawilliams6321 I appreciate your wise comment. You probably don't know or don't care about the case. And that is fine. But the basis of "citizen's arrest" was the burglary premise.
But thank you. I will give you credit for the nomination
