Only Colorado native to my family. My grandma lived across the road from valmont butte. I have walked up to the abandoned building in this video. I was hoping to go up to the top on my last visit in aug but didn’t have time. You have to be careful around the area though as their have been coyotes, raccoons and other small animals around the area. Their is a factory still at use at the bottom of the butte and if you happen to cross the street their is a bunch of abandoned trains. Most of them are easy to get into and their is the valmont school of 1912. Got to go in and it was a beautiful experience.

Butte is a word in the English language. There are buttes all over the world. Regardless of where a person is from they should know the proper pronounceation. He mentioned Crested Butte and said it as "butt" too. Sad
