- This abandoned video takes place in one of the most dangerous abandoned places in Ohio. This is the abandoned building with the power on in my previous video on Elderwood. The street is in one of the most dangerous areas in this half abandoned city. My plan was to get some drone footage and take a few pictures. For some reason I can't last more than 10 minutes without something happening at this place. I was trapped inside this abandoned building with people inside. A random car pulled up the minute I entered the building. I could hear some people leaving, but I think I wasn't alone. Especially after hearing the noises at the end of the video.

As a former repo man in East Cleveland - you learn a thing or two. The homes/apartments were abandoned due to poverty, hence "rust belt" phrase. Now they're used as drug/stash houses for gangs. If you walk into the wrong building at the wrong time; you may never leave. Seriously. Be careful bud.

I used to do photography and shoot videos in abandoned buildings and almost always you can find a homeless persons nest somewhere in the house or building. The best move is to go in and make a lot of noise so your presence is known. If you creep around people are more likely to get startled and attack you. Or if you act scared and timid they might think you’re weak and prey on you. If you’re walking in a sketchy neighborhood you shouldn’t make a lot of noise and attract attention to yourself, but you should walk confidently and act like you belong there. If you act like a scared tourist you’ll get run up on and treated like prey.

The buildings look like they were built in the '40's or '50's and later used for Section 8 housing. If so, a government agency may be paying for the power in many places and unaware this is unoccupied. It looks too far gone to rehab. It will all most likely be torn down. Great video and the drone photography was awesome!

Urbex Dane well, it's a combination of the fires, the location (rough section) and the recession. All large cities suffer from it. They all have a bad section that seems to go downhill. The fires initially chased the majority of the residents out. After that it was just time and neglect.

to la mesa, cabrinni green was a housing project that is gone now replaced by condos. There was never a gang called that,all though it was occupied by many while it was around.I have lived in the city of Chicago all my life and have learned that bad shit can happen anywhere.

Smoke alarms are still chirping. Someone has replaced them within 6-12 months prior to this. Utilities are also active. Somebody is definitely hanging out there. Judging by the way the walls are torn up to reveal pipes is indicative of addicts looking find and scrap copper piping.

This place still had its copper or else the power wouldn't be on. The only other copper is the gas lines. Copper is Not used for sink drains. In a building this old, the pipes are iron unless they've been updated, then they're PVC plastic.

That smoke alarm just had an almost depleted battery which is why it gives out a warning signal every minute or so. We used to own smoke alarms that did the exact same thing

From what I can tell, elderwood had a series of fires in the 1990s and quite a bit of death because of it, and people left instead of rebuilding which led to businesses leaving and more people leaving and the neighborhood collapsed and was abandoned.
