She really looks like a modern day Vietnamese bar girl. So she makes the production very realistic. Lea is the best, nothing comes close to her. But a girl with no American accent does bring a greater element of Realism.

Am so happppyyyyy for Rachel Ann Go. Kasi parang kulang ang pag build up sa kanya dito sa Pinas, so thanks be to God na doon sya ngayon sa Broadway. When i saw her on TV for d first, exclaimed that she can be also a good successor or Ms. LEA SALONGA. Nung nalaman ko, am was so happy, glad and grateful to God. Nangyari talaga. When she was just starting on tv, I saw her performing live outside the mall. She was so good, very powerful voice coming out from a petite pretty lady😊. She was so sweet too, always smiling and waving to the small crowd pa lang noon.
And yes, I saw, Christian Bautista sa side ng stage, waiting and very proud sa performance nya! 😊
Lea still looks so young and beautiful. I just love her.

This is fantastic work:-) I admire your creativity and skill in weaving RAG's exhalirating journey to make her dreams come true through these amazing footages which you have patiently and lovingly stitched together.
RAG's incredible feat of bringing to life the iconic characters, Gigi and Fantine in the West End made her shine even brighter and brought honor to all Filipinos all over the world. Certainly, she richly deserve all the accolades as she remains a humble and God-centered person.

This blew my mind... I'm used to seeing her as The quintessential Gigi, and seeing her sing Kim's songs... I mean, obviously she is great, and so Eva... They are both amazing...and OMG!!!... Is 'Maybe' the new song that was added, sung by Ellen!?? OMG!

In everyway rachel ann is pitchperfect like lea with a very powerful belt. But eva had the vulnerability of kim that the moment you see her in the first scene you would want to rescue her. Both great performers.

Lea obviously believed in Rachelle Ann Go's talent and capability. In fact when she was asked who she thought could be the next Miss Saigon, she answered without batting an eyelash: Rachelle Ann Go or Sarah Geronimo. When she and her daughter watched Rachelle's concert, she encouraged Rachelle to go for an audition for Miss Saigon. Unsurprisingly therefore genuine happiness and delight were registered on her face when Rachelle reached the high notes in their duet for the Movie in My Mind. Lea proved she wasn't threatened nor intimidated by the younger singers' musical excellence because Lea knows she's already at the summit/top of her career so she wants others to shine and bring out their best, too. Only magnanimous persons with very healthy self-esteem and self-confidence can sincerely be happy for the success and achievement of others and Lea and Celine Dion are two of the generous celebs with magnanimity.

So "Major Major" at 4:25 - 4:29 isn't just a Filipino thing after all but we made a big deal about it and we claimed that it was filipinoism.
How could that be a Filipinism if Cameron Mckintosh himself a native speaker of British English used it?

@@ABSSHIN02 if you aren't a Filipino, we have this popular beauty queen named Venus Raj who competed in Ms. Universe 2010. She mentioned "major major" in her answer and the Filipinos thought that it was a Filipino thing, like she was speaking in english that is a very poor translation of the vernacular. But in this video, it turned out that it's just fine.
@@jeffreyferiguraii1865 I am a Filipino that is why your comment got my attention. Filipinisms are words or phrases that appears to be correct in usage but they are actually GRAMATICALLY incorrect. "Major major" is quite far to consider to be Filipinism. It was just an alliteration.
One good example of Filipinism is SALVAGE. In the american standard, it means to save, not to kill as what most Filipinos think it means.
Filipinisms are used by Filipinos hence the name. So when Cameron Mckintosh said "Major Major", it is not. It was just done for emphasis I think or alliteration.
@@jeffreyferiguraii1865 Filipinisms refer to words that are loosely translated from common Tagalog expressions and cause confusion when applied in conversations with native English speakers.
In this context, Cameron used it as it is. He was not confused when used that because the major major expression is actually understood by a native speaker.
