Just found you tutorial for this closure ,I’m going to be trying that on the next hat I make for my granddaughter’s boyfriend .. I’m a crochet and yes it is a slip stitch you are doing 😉..waves from across the pond in the UK .. 👋 xx
Just finished a hat using your closure! Worked great! I had made the X closure hats using other methods but yours is Fabulous! Thank you for the video. Hugs
It’s not slouchy, but not fitted either if that makes sense. For a smaller head it might be more of slouch and then for a larger head it might be more fitted. For the middle of the two it has a bit of length on the top but not enough to be slouchy.
Just finished my first knitting machine project, a hat made this way with this cool closure. I love it. Thank You!
So awesome!
The best video for hat making. Thank you!
THANK YOU for being brief and right to the point! I love this method thanks so much
You are very welcome! I’m glad it helped
Thanks for this I wasn't happy with timing methods cause I was forced to put pompom
Great explanation of a very sophisticated closure.
Thank you!
Nice! Cant wait to try this!
You should!

I love this closure! Thank you so much for this tutorial! 😊
Thanks for this video! Is aesthetics the purpose for this closure? Just out of curiosity because I've never this before!
Yes I believe so. It creates a different hat shape. I think this closure looks better when you aren’t going to use a pom pom.
Really nice
Save time and connect the two ends while still on the machine, like when you make a brim. Saves time, try it out
Great idea!
Well done! Love your music too. Thank you!
Thank you!
Love this closure just hope i dont mess it up
You’ll do fine! Just keep trying :)
Gorgeous closure! What size crochet hook are you using?

@@LaurenRootKnits inmy frecn and also my english group fo circular knitting machine
@@LaurenRootKnits you are welcome i saw a lot of my english group member posting there new hat with your technique yay!
Hey, does that give a more flat look at the top? instead of pulling the string to tighten the hole ?
Yes it does! It’s a good closure when you don’t want to use a pom pom
Does 150 turn out to be a slouchy hat? I’ve done 135 with the folded brim and it turns out more fitted.
It’s not slouchy, but not fitted either if that makes sense. For a smaller head it might be more of slouch and then for a larger head it might be more fitted. For the middle of the two it has a bit of length on the top but not enough to be slouchy.
How many rows would you recommend for a woman’s hat? Btw I love this closure
Geat tutorial, thank you for sharing!
How many rows do you do for women? Thank you for the video
I think you can do somewhere around 120
The music is too loud to hear you speak.
I know. Sorry. I didn’t realize the sound was off when I posted.
A slip stitch would be better. You were not doing a slip stitch.
Closure great but lighting on your blue yarn is terrible.
It’s the yarn I was using at the time. I think you still got the idea though... I’ll remember that for next time
Drop the music.
I like it
@@LaurenRootKnits Me too.
Only watched 2 minutes. Sorry. Voice/music balance a bit off for me.
