Juna , I think this is a great idea for a series (using only Canva FREE) and how you put your style on a shirt using free tools. As a series this should attract more subscribers. And, I like how you “leveled up” the original design/slogan. Well done. Your tips (any tips) on using Canva will be appreciated by many (large audience). Keep up the good work!
Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful video, Junea! My daughter (15 years old) has learned a lot from you. She already has 37 sales in Redbubble. Many Thanks🙏
Wonderful! POD Seller at 15... amazing... if there is anything she want's to learn just let me know... happy to help... I would love to give her pointers if she wants
Your "level up" videos are always so good. If you're ever at a loss for what video to create next, I would definitely encourage you to consider another level up video. Thank you!
I started with Canva free. First I was using it for my RUclips and Twitch channels to spice them up. When I decided to start my own store I figure I better use Pro. I also use it to build my website. Canva is just a good site and I am enjoying what I have been coming up with. Thanks for making these videos about designs on Canas. It gave me ideas to corporate into my niche designs. I am going to be very busy for the next few days.
Tbh it looks normal lol not that it's npt great it's just thay I don't understand why people think the first designs should be made in the first place. You can look at whats selling in every niche and every sub nich and none of them are ever of that quality so why make that? That's my confusion.
Hi Juan, your channel is one of the best. I been using canvas for over 2 years now. Just for a tip, you can click the 3 lines beside the search box, a window opens and click on the 'free' items only so the pro and animated stuff are not shown - will save you time scrolling down
Is that just with pro because when I click on the three lines I don't see those options. I can select Static or Animated but I don't see an option to see FREE only. That would be super helpful though
@@DetourShirts always thanks. It's my starting day in POD. and I trying my best with help of your videos. I have some questions Juna about redbubble .... 1.Why my design shown in best selling without any sell of that product. 2.what is favorite means. Is someone like my design that why is shown in favourite.
Best selling doesn't always means that it sold.... if there are no sales for that topic "best selling" may be ranked by views or clicks. Favorite means someone clicked a heart on your product.
Thanks for this video. After watching I revisited my first designs and was pleasantly surprised how much I have learned and how much I have progressed since I started my POD journey. I spent a productive morning levelling up some of my old designs and fixing a few uploading mistakes I had made.👍
I use Canva free. But I don't use it as much for actual designing anymore. I use it to capture ideas I have when I'm out, away from my computer. I pull up the website on my phone and do the text and maybe a few graphics to refresh my memory about what my head imagined at the time. Then when I'm home, I go into Canva, see what ideas I stored there that I haven't worked on yet, and open Affinity to actually make the design.
I use Canva all the time and always seem to learn something new from you. Your able filter out pro elements to make it easier for free users to find elements they are aloud to use quickly. I use pro now but I hate wasting time so I liked the filtering feature when I was on the free version! Thanks 🙏
Love the design!! I’ve learned so much from you. But you always make it look so easy 😆 All my well selling designs are simple, ones I made quickly on a whim. If I put in a lot of effort and time it won’t sell.
That's an awesome video and the design 😍 I personally use canva pro but I used free version for years before I become a pro member 😃 personally I believe canva free is enough to start out for a personal on POD, thanks for sharing 😊👍
Not really possible with the free version... if you have text I would download the PNG file and then remove the background on something like Photopea, Photoshop or Affinity Photo... if you have the fonts installed and have Illustrator or Affinity Designer you could download a PDF and all those things could come in and you could remove the background on those apps as well.
I use Canva Pro. Love what you did. How do you delete the outside square, so you can put the same design on a different colored shirt. Creating the vector sends it to Illustrator and I don't know how to make the vector in Illustrator?
If you have Canva Pro you can select Transparent Background... if you don't you have to delete the background with Photopea, Photoshop or something similar
great video as always! really struggling in tier 10 my friend. i saw you 4part videos on how to tier up but still cant do it. any quick tips? really appreciate
Do trends, hot, viral topics that are selling right now. I got out of T10 and 25 with a trend my husband noticed on social media and I made a shirt about. If it hasn’t sold in 2-3 weeks delete and post new designs.
If you use a cutting machine to cut the white lettering don't you have to make a black border around it first for the cutting machine to recognize the white lettering and racket?
Hello! Thanks for sharing! I’m the free version of Canva, when you download, the background comes attached. How can we remove the background without loosing que quality of the design? Thank you 🙂
for now l'm still using all the free versions of CF, Place it, canva and so on, as long as l'm not making decent sales l'm stuck to it, l think my designs are good with these tools as is tho, but yeah...
Great question... it depends on the design... I kind of eyeball it.... but if you were doing the 4500x5400 design it is about 600-700 px under the very top of that rectangle
But how do you download the design for free? on a black background? or as a transparent png (pro)? if on black background, can it be used to print on black t shirt?
If you don't have pro you will need to download it with a black background and then remove it with Photopea or Photoshop or Preview.... If you have pro then just remove background with Canva
The hard part on canva free is to remove the background when you are donne. 99% of free background remover reduce the pixels resolution or don't do a clean remove. I'm curious about how canva free users are dealing with that

You do such a good job. I would not think of doing it that way. I use canva free. I am putting my money else where to help my business.
There is a lot you can still do with Canva FREE.... thanks for the comment

Canva free for me. I haven't bought into any design programs or subscriptions yet but I'm definitely going to be getting Infinity Design soon
Great to hear! Affinity is great..... I got a bunch of tutorials for it
@@DetourShirts yes, I've been watching them. You're the one that's convinced me to get it lol
Affinity designer is such a great, easy to use and lightweight program! I got it on sale for $25 a while ago and it was the best investment in POD.

Thanks for the tutorial.. How though to download with transparent background or how to get a transparent background without losing quality??
Not really possible with the free version... if you have text I would download the PNG file and then remove the background on something like Photopea, Photoshop or Affinity Photo... if you have the fonts installed and have Illustrator or Affinity Designer you could download a PDF and all those things could come in and you could remove the background on those apps as well.

Hello! Thanks for sharing! I’m the free version of Canva, when you download, the background comes attached. How can we remove the background without loosing que quality of the design? Thank you 🙂
You may lose a little quality but you can use apps like Photopea or Photoshop to remove the background
Can I sell the same artwork on different platforms? pixel to pixel same design
Yes you can.... if there are yours to begin with.... don't use someone else's design pixel for pixel on another platform

A rookie question. Is there a standard like how many inches the graphic should be placed under the neck and from the left and right of a T-shirt?
Great question... it depends on the design... I kind of eyeball it.... but if you were doing the 4500x5400 design it is about 600-700 px under the very top of that rectangle
@@DetourShirts Thank you! You are one of the few that actually answered a subscriber's question!
Nice
We want designs in Photoshop if possible, please.
I've been thinking of that.... I'll put it on the list
How do you download it to be able to use on a black shirt
Download with a transparent background
But how do you download the design for free? on a black background? or as a transparent png (pro)? if on black background, can it be used to print on black t shirt?
If you don't have pro you will need to download it with a black background and then remove it with Photopea or Photoshop or Preview.... If you have pro then just remove background with Canva
