with all the respect to the other series you do, this is practically the best video series of all time man. All the knowledge is combined and given for everyone. Thank you Juna Keep it up
I'm re-watching this video, and I realized that I've been using the Dead Stock font for quite a while because you highlighted it in this video. Great font, and great video. Thanks, Juna!
Other than the top text bar, I like the design of the first one better. It feels more coherent. That said, your work and videos are awesome and thank you for sharing.
Fair enough! Everyone has different tastes.... thanks for you comment..... this one was a tougher one, usually when I do a level up design I have a really bad one to start with but this one wasn't that bad.... I did this one for a subscriber who had pretty good designs already and wanted some ideas.
Very good. I finally learned how to knock those elements out! I know you've covered it before, but I just wasn't understanding. Thanks for going over it one more time! For those of us a little slower at catching on to concepts, your patience is very appreciated.
Hi Juna, I love watching your level up series, and thank you for sharing your knowledge. When you said you were a teenager in the 80s, it made me crack up! You look way too young to have been a teen back then 😀 I was in high school and college in the 80s and my vintage year is some time in the 60s 😀. But keep on telling this old gal new design tricks!
@@DetourShirts you're welcome bro what size would you recommend doing the designs? So far admittedly I have been doing them square (500mm x 500mm) but after watching your tutorials I see what you mean about the shape, it looks more like 500mm x 1000mm would be a better size to work with?.
I Commend your Accumulated Experience and Depth of Creativity, on Affinity - You Demonstrate It, very well Juna! Thank You Also, for explaining Why as well as How, to Achieve the Artist Change! I'm sure your Student, would appreciate it! Cheers, Brad H
Awesome techniques ! 👍 how can we use creative fabrica and affinity designer to make unique vintage sunset designs. if you can make a video on that please that will really be helpful. Thanks and best wishes 👍
Awesome! That Dead Stock font really makes it pop. I grew up in the 80's too and everything was all about ninjas back then. Seems like most movies and a lot of video games back then had something to do with martial arts. Way to incorporate that to the design! Maybe someone can do the "Surely not everybody was Kung-Fu fighting" with this font.
Hi there Juna!Would like to request on how you register your Brand name Detour Shirts for Trademark??I mean the process on how to register a brand name.....It maybe a good content for your channel....Thanks!
Great suggestion! I'll see what I can do.... you don't have to register on if you don't want to... you can just create a brand name on Amazon or RedBubble but it does help to have one that you can get the URL for.... like www.detourshirts.com
@@DetourShirts I think if its not yet registered for trademark some thief can rob your brand name, your brand is already famous but if you don't register it somebody can claim it once they registered it as their own they will ask you to stop using that name for your business something like that....
Great Work👏..Okay so I have a question..Can I download the free freepik mockups and use them on instagram for my tshirt designs..or is it not allowed? And is there a better option to present my designs which I have made on illustrator?
I made a few motor sports designs and they didnt sell, I think it's mainly because of the keywords that I used, or maybe my designs weren't that great, but would love to see Juna design one.

This is still too hard for me to figure out. I am trying to make this but when I make the lines, the circle doesn't look divided, the lines are behind the circle. What am I doing wrong?. I already figured out how to group it but I can remove the lines
Make sure the lines are in front and group them together... then group the circle and the lines together with the lines on top... use the erase filter on just the lines

For one I don't have that font in the original... it's not my design.... Secondly, I like the new font better it fits the 80s. You can pick whatever font you want.... but I thought it was obvious that the Cobra Kai font was an 80s font... I should have explained better.

CMYK always
Will you mentor or review me? I've been self taught for two years and watching your video upped my designs faster than anything.
