    Other than the top text bar, I like the design of the first one better. It feels more coherent. That said, your work and videos are awesome and thank you for sharing.

      Fair enough! Everyone has different tastes.... thanks for you comment..... this one was a tougher one, usually when I do a level up design I have a really bad one to start with but this one wasn't that bad.... I did this one for a subscriber who had pretty good designs already and wanted some ideas.

    Hi Juna, I love watching your level up series, and thank you for sharing your knowledge. When you said you were a teenager in the 80s, it made me crack up! You look way too young to have been a teen back then 😀 I was in high school and college in the 80s and my vintage year is some time in the 60s 😀. But keep on telling this old gal new design tricks!

      @@DetourShirts you're welcome bro what size would you recommend doing the designs? So far admittedly I have been doing them square (500mm x 500mm) but after watching your tutorials I see what you mean about the shape, it looks more like 500mm x 1000mm would be a better size to work with?.

      I design in pixels... so 4500x5400 pixels .... which ends up being 15in x 18in if you are doing prints

    Awesome! That Dead Stock font really makes it pop. I grew up in the 80's too and everything was all about ninjas back then. Seems like most movies and a lot of video games back then had something to do with martial arts. Way to incorporate that to the design! Maybe someone can do the "Surely not everybody was Kung-Fu fighting" with this font.

      Great suggestion! I'll see what I can do.... you don't have to register on if you don't want to... you can just create a brand name on Amazon or RedBubble but it does help to have one that you can get the URL for.... like www.detourshirts.com

      @@DetourShirts I think if its not yet registered for trademark some thief can rob your brand name,your brand is already famous but if you don't register it somebody can claim it once they registered it as their own they will ask you to stop using that name for your business something like that....

      I wouldn't use freepick for mockups... I would use Placeit... they have some free mockups that you can use on instagram.

    Hi, new to the channel. Great video content. Is Affinity Designer free? How would you upload your design so customers would buy it?

      Affinity Designer is not free. It’s a one time fee of about $70. After exporting your design as a PNG you will need to upload it to the POD sites you want to sell on.

    This is still too hard for me to figure out. I am trying to make this but when I make the lines, the circle doesn't look divided, the lines are behind the circle. What am I doing wrong?. I already figured out how to group it but I can remove the lines

      Make sure the lines are in front and group them together... then group the circle and the lines together with the lines on top... use the erase filter on just the lines

      @@DetourShirts with yours, when you start making the lines, they are black and right away you see it on the circle. WIth mine the lines are pink. Do I have to change the color?. Sorry for bothering you with my questions this is all complicated to me. Usually, I do designs in canva

      For one I don't have that font in the original... it's not my design.... Secondly, I like the new font better it fits the 80s. You can pick whatever font you want.... but I thought it was obvious that the Cobra Kai font was an 80s font... I should have explained better.
