    Is there a general amount of space that you leave from the handle of the mug to the edge of the image? I recently purchased an auto press and want to avoid the faded edges where it might not get enough heat. thank you

    • @JustMightDIY
      @JustMightDIY  8 месяцев назад

      We can get up to about half an inch from the handle, but we do it in two presses. Spinning it as far in each direction as it will go. Hope this helps😀

    When I have done hot peels on plain mugs they don’t all get transferred. When left to peel until completely cooled, they look great.

    • @JustMightDIY
      @JustMightDIY  8 месяцев назад

      Whenever we tried to wait for the cold peel, something went wrong like ghosting. When you find what works best for you, stuck with it 😆

    Ok, so I am a full time designer, and just so you know, you need those lights and dark areas and shadows/contrast to have that 3D effect your so in love with. That edge that bothered you is a cast shadow adding to the “illusion” of the 3D appearance of a flat image. You could tear the edges, by hand, deckle style and probably get a more artistic edge that wouldn’t be distracting or offensive. Hate to pass up such lovely designs because of a shaded area.

    • @JustMightDIY

      We appreciate the perspective. As we mentioned, it's all a matter of personal preference. We don't like a harsh seam and found several beautiful 3D designs that give us the 3D effect without the distraction of a noticeable seam. Some of those other designs would be BEAUTIFUL on flat surfaces, and we'll be using some for in the near future for those kinds of projects for sure!

    They're pretty. I've sublimated on mousepads with 3D files, and they are the talk of Jennifer's Sublimation group. I am going to try the mugs when I get a convection oven. I am not getting a press.

      Hey there and thanks for watching! We definitely want to do some of these on flat surfaces - the designs are just too pretty! We have some great tips for sublimating in a convection oven: ruclips.net/video/IxXQN8lI5to/видео.html

      @@JustMightDIY hi, you're welcome and thanks for the tutorials. I don't know what I would do without you kind people. I tell people that RUclips University is the Best. 😂 I would be reading instead as I do at times. Reading is great for the brain. In the early 2000s, I taught myself how to build a webpage by reading.

    You are getting ripped off from design bundles its all same as whats on creative fabrica which you can pay 4.99 a month and access to litterally everything

    • @JustMightDIY
      @JustMightDIY  Год назад

      We're glad you found a site that works for your needs! We've actually tried Creative Fabrica before and used it exclusively for several months. However, we ended up switching back to DB for most of our needs. The $5 per month is ONLY if you're willing to commit to a full year up front; otherwise, it's $29 per month.
      We honestly found their search functionality to be really lacking. We've provided that feedback and keep checking to see if it's improved at all.
      For now, we're sticking with DB for the most part. $5 per month is still challenging if we can't find what we need quickly and easily. But again, cheers to you for liking the experience!

      I was just looking at CF . $47 for the year. DB is $10 per month, and you still need to purchase some things that you may want. Am I missing something?
