Oh my goodness, hugs to you, Michelle. I’m a nurse so I know that recovery is really tough. It’s so wonderful that you are now enjoying a beautiful life in PV. ❤
Inspirational! My sister did some burn center type nursing and from her stories, I know recovery is a VERY slow and painful process! So happy that Michelle found her Paradise in Mexico! Great story as always Brighton! The views from the condo were stunning! Mil Gracias!
Recovery is not slow anymore. Using a person's own Stem Cells, full recovery can be in three weeks now, and no visible scarring. They use a device called "Skin Cell Gun" which sprays the cells on the burn area. The skin grows back in three weeks. No grafing needed.
My heart goes out to you! Three months ago I fainted in a sauna and suffered several large third degree burns. I have been bed ridden since the accident. This week I get the staples out of my grafts. I’m just starting to get my strength back and walking some. I hope to spend my winters in Mexico as soon as I’m totally well.
Oh my Karen. I hope someone was in the sauna too to help you. Michelle was alone when it happened to her. Best of luck in your recovery! And your part-time move to Mexico!
Hello Brighton! Thank you very much for providing these personal interviews! They are always so informative; and you do such a great job with these. Ughhh… my heart pours for Michelle for what she has had to endure. I have had so many coworkers in the Army that have endured burns; they are absolutely horrible. Ha…I also liked Michelle’s Freudian slip about having great access to the clubs hehehehe. I really enjoyed the energy of Mexico when we were visiting Mazatlan! Even in the middle of the week, so many friends and families out sharing the night together along the malecon. For us, this property is out of our range. We could afford it, but we would have to sell our house in Colorado; which we wouldn’t want to do. But….I do really like this condo! Safe travels!
Thanks Alan. Burns are horrible! We are in a similar boat - keeping our house in Oregon and going back and forth to a place that's more affordable in Mexico works well for us. But I would love to swim in that pool!
I don't think there was damage to her condo, but she mentioned not getting much sleep because of after-shocks. A building a couple doors down was damaged: ruclips.net/user/shortsVhiSzVTBbmo
Wow, she is a great example of living life to the fullest 👏. I stayed at the Vellas Vallarta (@ the marina), just before I got married! Great place without all the frills.
Where in California could you get a place like this with a huge pool on the beach with condo payments in the $100-200 / month range? Yes, you can find a place to live in California for similar prices, but the place won't be similar. And the bar down the street won't charge $5 for a margarita.
Do you have a video on if someone want to just live in an apartment, anywhere in Mexico, for like 6 months? Do you need a visa or something? Wow, more expensive than I would have thought. I wonder what HOA fees are.
There are tourist "visas" that can last up to 180 days - you get them at the border (or airport) but it's not a guarantee that you'll get 180 days. This part of PV is pretty pricey. You can rent a home in most parts of Mexico for as low as a few hundred dollars per month. But most expats prefer places that cost between $600 and $1500 (nicer places/nicer neighborhoods/nicer amenities.) HOA fees in the $100/month range seem pretty common in Mexico. I have a video about rentals in La Paz, with some ideas on finding affordable places at the end. You'll need something furnished, which will increase the price. Plus I'm assuming you'll want to be there in the high season, and some folks want to rent for an entire year. ruclips.net/video/CLBu1j_YGE4/видео.html
$500K for the condo; you can live a better life and retire elsewhere. This folks have money to burn. It isn't all that great for the money. The property that is..
It all depends what you value. I personally wouldn’t want to live in a condo like this so it’s not worth $500k to me. But everyone has their own list of what they are looking for. And then supply and demand sets the price.
Wow. Hell of a story about a survivor. And the view's not bad either. I do crave more, rural so hurry up and fix the water problems in La Paz. You really should do a piece on that subject. In my opinion anyway (for what that's worth ). P n D
Water's on my list. As is solar power. ❤ for Michelle, so brave and so very positive. The lady loves her job and lives in a beautiful place, thanks, Brighton!
Absolutely!
WHAT A BEAUTIFUL CITI
Thank Amy for the details of the process of moving to Mexico. I'm surprised you have come from Kelowna BC Canada.

Thanks for your comment Mary!
Love your videos. We live in Denver but lived in SE Portland for 2 years. SE Ivon at 41st. I think you are close to where we lived.
Small world! You were right behind the Skavones. We are a couple blocks from the Bagdad theater.

Burns and treatment sound really awful. Michelle has some pretty big scars, but seems like a super happy person now!

I was alone also! Very bad.
@@karenknowles1537 Oh no! I'm sure you never anticipated that anything like that could happen. You just never know!
You did not get the "Skin Cell Gun" to get full recovery in three weeks and no skin grafts?

Love that condo and the marina area, what a wonderful place to live! Thanks Brighton! ☮️❤️😎
Thanks for watching Pam. It was amazing to hear how few people live there full time. It was empty in July.

I agree! You stayed right next door to this place. But somehow you left without buying a place? ;-)
@@AlmostRetiredinMexico Haha, yes I had to have my 4 kids first, but I am getting ready to move soon!
Great video
Glad you enjoyed it
Great video thanks
Glad you enjoyed it Adela
Acapulco.but earthquakes were the deal breakers. Querétaro is clean and safe.
I am so happy you survived. I paid to have my USA apartment emptied.
This looks like a wonderful place to stay for a few months.
I agree!
Hey Brighton bro.. Brilliant video.. Absolutely marvelous✅.. 🕋🐒🙏🙏
Glad you enjoyed it Shariff!
Prices too high. I could stay in California for those prices.

Nice house!!
I think so too!
How did you get over there did you fly or take a ferry ?
We flew into PV from the US. Then I flew to La Paz (direct flight) and Kat flew back to Portland (connecting flights.)
