I just purchased Reaper a few days ago. I used to use Studio One, but got tired of the monthly sub. I watched your beginner video series and I learned SO much. I learned things in Reaper that I didn't even know (and still don't) existed in Studio One. Thank you very much for making these. It made such a huge difference. I feel like I have a pretty decent grasp of what I'm doing and I didn't have to visit a bunch of forums with outdated information. I needed to know how to break out drum outputs to tracks and sure enough, you made a video on it. Such a huge help!
Once again, an awesome tutorial which explained EXACTLY what I was trying to do. Wow, Reaper is amazing - thanks so much Kenny, for explaining everything so well!
I try to follow your instructions. mine turn out different. my snare come out of track 3,8 and 9. I don't know how to get it out of only track. Could you help me please
Damn, Kenny, I did everything you taught but am getting no sound... The routed tracks are getting signal, but it won't play back on the master drum track. I wonder why would that be? I'm using the virtual midi keyboard (since I don't have a MIDI controller) and the free Steven Slate drum plugin... Help me! Thanks a bunch.
Awesome! But now i need to record my midi drums into the same separated audio tracks in order to avoid too much CPU processing in my project. How will i set the input? It's not matching with the sends/receives.
@@artemdee I've just figured out. You need to change in the tracks that you want to record from RECORD:INPUT (AUDIO OR MIDI) to RECORD: OUTPUT (MULTICHANNEL), after doing this, you can record audio from the midi channel. Please let me know if that solved to you.
Can this be done with ReaSamplOmatic? Such as setting up a drum kit with 4 or 5 in the first track and sending or routing to child tracks separately? In ReaSamplOmatic there is a MIDI Chan option.. but I haven't been able to get it to work.
@@LdotSdot210 Could you please explain how to? I tried setting my MIDI channels on my ReaSamplOmatic drum inserts from 1 to 8 and nothing played but when i put it to 10, my drum sound is played. It only works on channel 10 and I'm still a bit confused on how to then send each individual sample to another track. I am extremely new to MIDI and Reaper so just trying to figure it out. Thank you!
Great tutorials as always!!! But I have one question and if anyone has an answer to it, let him share it with me and all that facing the same problem. In fact, in case a drum machine doesn't have a mixer like that of Ezdrummer in this tutorial, what shall I do to have each drum kit component to have it's own output? Please could someone help?
If you're using a drum machine which doesn't allow you to output each drum to its own channel, I guess your only option is to render each drum to audio separately and put them on their own tracks. If you can solo each drum, just solo each one in turn and render the synth to audio each time.
You've saved my ass more times than I can count. Thanks.

Man, your videos are gold
Massively helpful! Thank you!
As usual, if I just would've watched the entire video first it would have saved me a lot of time. :)

i'm having the same problem, do you know if you happened to find a solution?
@@alwaysnauseous Sorry, I did work it out eventually but I don't remember how...
Thanks Kenny. Is there a way to separate drums from an audio track? Or convert drums from any audio to drums MIDI file?
Great video as always Kenny. Any chance you could do the same video for NI studio drummer. Thanks
You are a lifesaver!I needed that exact information and you had a tutorial right for my need TwT
Awesome. This is what I need to run my native instruments maschine into separate tracks!
How do you get the waveforms for each drum track ?

have you found a way Artem? I would like to do the same but I'm struggling to figure it out

@@bncprado Finally got back to the project. God bless u, Bruno!
Thanks a lot for showing,... ;) Love cheers
When mixing, are we supposed to be keeping an eye on levels?

What skin are you using? I really like it?
I have updated Superior Drummer 3 , Now Reaper Vst won't recognize SD3 Can i uninstall Vst then reinstalled new version?
Thanks so much for this, Helped out alot.
This video saved my ass today !!. Thanks !!
Thanks for this. You've solved a problem. Cheers.
At 2:50 , miner is duplicating the outputs in the "quotes" area for some reason and it won't do it right
how do i put it all back together after mixing each individual item?
nvm after messing around i think i figured it out .............. just render it
How do I get the wavs from each track? Should i render one by one and delete the master track that was playing the midi?
Great tutorials as always!!!
