I knew many of Harry's photos before I even became aware that they were made by the same person. These photos I remember very well from back in the day because of the print on the t-shirt.
Another great insight into the photo shoot relationship between subject and photographer. Too get shots like that on a rooftop with the sun blazing, to think on your feet and how you get the best out of a situation is, beyond me. Keep the vids coming, cheers.
Thank you again. Yet another engaging, eloquent, and entertaining video. Have you ever felt like saying ”Say cheese” to try and get a giggle from these stars?
The info you provide is excellent and entertaining. You work hard on your images. May I suggest you think the same way with these videos. Lighting and audio is key. Make it an amazing image and the video will be stepped up immensely . Thanks for the stories and sharing!
Thanks for the comment and we completely agree.. We are currently cleaning up Harry's garage to turn it into a studio, we want more depth in the background and obviously better lighting. We love doing RUclips and want to make these videos better each week.
Hi Fred and Harry! Huge fan of this channel, not to mention and Harry's exeptional photography...My question: what about shooting for free? Just friends and familiy? Does Harry even give away pictures for free? Maybe an interesting topic for a video? Cheers!
Friends and especially family...also people I'm interested in meeting. Michael Peppiatt (who I mention in the vid), was commissioned by Bloomsbury after I suggested to someone at the publisher that I wanted to photograph interesting writers. It wasn't well paid!
@@harryborden6077 Thanks for the insight Harry! It's always a tough decision for aspiring photographers today. "Hey can you shoot this for free for me? I'll mention your name!"
Maybe Harry could do a short video about his thoughts on Athena, it's impact and influence (good or bad) on photography. Has his opinion of them changed since when he was a young aspiring photographer, when he undoubtedly looked down his nose on them ? Was this kind of retail outlet good for photographers and photography? Is it a bad thing now that it is no more ? Did he ever have any of his photos licensed by Athena ?
Fair enough! I'll try to work on it.. While editing I did notice i spoke over him a few times :/ But in my defense he will talk forever if I don't haha! Thanks for the feedback :)
Hey Harry, I wasn't going to comment but I just noticed this particular comment. Maybe a bit controversial, but I actually prefer the original videos where it's just you talking and telling the story, rather than this interview style. I just like to listen to the fascinating history you have with the stars. I don't think this format adds value to it, I think it actually detracts if I'm honest. This is meant to be constructive criticism by the way (I know no one really likes any critism).
Fair enough! We take it as constructive, no problem! We know some people prefer each style to the other, ideally we could sprinkle them both in with our other types of videos we do. Although worth noting, the other style is a lot more work for both myself and Dad but they are more fun to edit and often more dramatic but we like meeting up and doing these, you get a more natural Harry and we touch on things we wouldn't have mentioned otherwise.
@@mljgti That's good to hear as I put a lot of thought into planning what I will say. They really divide opinion though. Some people strongly prefer the new conversational style. I'm genuinely ambivalent although having a spontaneous chat with Fred requires a lot less work. As Fred says, we will definitely switch it around and thanks for taking the trouble to comment. 🙏
This has rapidly become my favourite RUclips channel. Filmed simply but so rich in information. Well done all concerned.
Great to hear - Thanks a lot! Plenty more on the way 😁
Just my favorite channel , thank you!
Thank you!
Thanks again guys! I'm loving the insights into your worlds, and the people too.
Thank you for watching, glad you enjoyed :)
Hi Fred and Harry.
It is wonderful to watch as this channel is actively progressing, great stuff fellas. Have a good week.
Lots of new stuff to come in the new year! Cheers Colin

That's awesome. I can imagine it's the case for a lot of photographers! Thanks for commenting as always, 😊

Thank you! We'll keep em coming ;)
Thank you again. Yet another engaging, eloquent, and entertaining video.
Have you ever felt like saying ”Say cheese” to try and get a giggle from these stars?
Yes, over the course of 35 years, I'm not ashamed to say I've tried everything to get a response!
Thanks for another one! These videos are such a gift. Looking forward to the next one ❤
You're welcome! Thanks for the comment and glad your enjoying 😁

@fredandharryborden Excellent. I look forward to watching them!
My week is now milestoned with your videos.
Haha thank you - glad to be that milestone!
Thanks for the video boys. I think one of Daniel’s best roles was in Layer cake. A great gangster film.
I haven't seen that one.. Will check it out! Thanks for the comment Will
Fantastic video as always! And great photos
That upcoming print looks amazing. Didn’t get much call for a Boris Johnson print?
Cheers guys! Haha you after a boris print are you?
@ my dad would probably love one 😢😂
Recently visited the Bacon exhibition at the NPG. His group really was fascinating
Very nice!
I'm intending on taking a look in the New Year. Michael gave a talk about Bacon to coincide with the show.
Loquacious- now there is a word I had to look up! I learn something every time I watch!
I googled "to pontificate". I'm not a native speaker and I didn't know that one.
I also googled that one while editing. Was tempted to put a definition on screen haha
Another very interesting video, thank you
Cheers Bob!

"its all daylight "- of course it is !!!
Haha u know harry!
lovely , could you share what camera and lens you used out of curiousity ? thanks
My trusty Hasselblad for the square pictures. The rectangular pics are shot with a Fuji 6x9 rangefinder. 👍

Thanks for the suggestion! Over Christmas we want to get quite a few videos recorded.. I have screenshotted this so we will defo include it in a chat!
Harry gets constantly interrupted, in my opinion.

Ha, that's ok 👍 Fred keeps me from going on and on!

I’m pretty certain it’s your head I can see photographing Jacob Reece Mogg on his new tv program?
Nope! Must be another bald photographer 😂 I didn't even know he has a show!
